I've been doing a lot of thinking about my career lately and just took a look at my 10th house...I never realized that my MC makes an aspect with almost all my planets. Is that significant, or does it just make me paranoid about my work.

I have:
Mars, Jupiter, Neptune trining MC
Sun, Merc, Vertex sextiling MC
Moon squaring MC
Saturn semisextile MC

Luckily they're mostly all good aspects!

Anyone else have lots of aspects and how do they make themselves noticed in your life? I'd love some input on this question!

Hey Nackie -

I think you are lucky to have those aspects. You have a lot of happiness related to work.

The Moon Square may make you feel like your mother or parents do not wholly approve of what you do, or that somewhere in the back of your mind, you sometimes wish to make them proud.

And be careful to not isolate your loved ones due to too much work.

Is any of that true to you?

Other than that, looks like super smooth sailing to me!

Can you characterize a bit more about your work arena?

Hi Gloria,

thanks for the quick answer! If you'd like a peek, my bday is 6.6.75 5:58 pm in Windsor, ONT, Can.

As for my work, I'm a terrible workaholic, glued to the computer. You said maybe it's hard for me to please my mom with my work (moon sq. MC), I'm wondering if that can't depict my husband (I'm a taurus moon, 7th house). I really want to give things a go on my own, but he's a capricorn and thinks I'll send us to the poor house if I open my own business. To my work: I'm an event manager, I work about 50 hours during the week plus weekends touring/overseeing our events. Right now I'm on my first 2 weeks off since the past 1.5 years. I also have a 7 year old, an au pair and a husband who is unable to cope for himself. Thankfully I have my mars in aries that gives me (more or less) enough energy to deal with everything. I sleep about 5 hours a night.

Work is VERY important for me. During my time as "only" a housewife, I had really bad depression and resented my husband (he's a marketing manager and travels all over, too). I was always alone with a little kid in a foreign country without family or friends (remember now, I'm a gemini and only had a baby to talk to!!) Now, even though I have about 50 times the stress and my nerves feel a little thin sometimes, I still feel I cope with life a heck of a lot better. My 10th house is leo, so I also need to be acknowledged for my great deeds... lol

How bout you? What aspects do you have? How does that connect with what you do for a living?

By the way, I've been wanting to say this for a long time: you're a very cool person and I love reading your posts.

Take care,
Nackie

You know, I have Leo on my 10th, too, but my line of work doesn't seem to be Leo related at all...massage therapy.
There are no planets there, and unsure of all aspects except for Mars opposite MC. I recently found out I have Vesta in , but I can't find anything on this. Yeah, I like to have my accomplishments acknowledged, but what I really like is seeing instant results. That doesn't sound like a thing to me, does it to any of you?

Yeah.. they're not renowned for their patience.. they represent the 'teenagers' in the soul evolution of the zodiac. When was the last time you saw teenagers as a whole, representng stability and enduring patience? It is all about me and how I relate to my environment.
Though doing for others is definately a theme in Leo... but they also know to do for themselves...

Where's your sun at? Sun is leo's ruler. My SIL is a libra, she's a childrens nurse here in Germany. She also has 10th house leo, and I thought the same thing, doesn't seem like a very "leo" type of career. Then she told me her secret: she is an intensive care nurse (premies and newborns)...the fact that they wear BLUE and all other nurses wear white is *very* important to her. So everyone "knows" that she is a "special" nurse in the hospital lol

I'm sure that there is something in your work that makes you stand out among your peers. Leo is not so much WHAT you do as HOW you do it lol

I've been trying for some time now to learn the Noel Tyl way fot vocational astrology. I know the rules.... the rest is still proccessing..

it's all in the rulerships and aspects of the MC ruler, THEN of the MC itself, THEN the planets there... or Sun and Moon.

what's the most complicated for me is to ignore the planets in the 10h house as they may be about HOW one does things and not WHAT they do. I recently found that a Cancer MC conj Pluto opp Jupiter-Venus is an actor!!

anyway...Nackie... what's the ruler of your MC and what aspects does it make?

What is my MC ruler? If my 10th house cusp is leo, then would it be my sun? My sun is in 8th house gemini (conj. Merc), which also has following aspects:

conj mercury
opp neptune
trine pluto
sextile jupiter, mars
sesquisquare uranus
semisquare mars

Funny enough, for all the aspects to sun and MC, my moon has no aspects (expect to AC/MC).

ok, not wirking like this: i need the whole thing in front of my eyes. BUT I'm just learning and it'd be a bad idea for me to give you interpretations - specific ones.

if you're serious about this, maybe you should talk to a professional. if not Tyl himself (he's really good, but it Arizona), he could recomend someone near you.

as far as I get now, the Moon not having aspects makes it peregrine. which makes it important. you should be into doing your own thing, very keen on that. sign, house matter.

then, the Mercury in Gemini should be the final dispositor of your chart (in its own sign), also dispositing of the MC ruler - which would emphasize Mercury's influence over your career. the 8th house would suggest the commerce/money side of Mercury, not "simple" communication.

I need more.

ok, took a look. remembr, I'm still learning this!!!

so: the Moon is really important being peregrine PLUS square the MC PLUS in the 7th (ie public). the Moon and the Need it represents: built-organize-maintain+idealism should be very influential on your MC. You simply NEED to do that - in dealings with a public - and in a very personal way.

the Sun-Mercury in Gemini 8th do speak of commerce - others' money, and with the Neptune opp,the idealism is emphasized.

neptune is disposited by Jupiter conj Mars in Aries (another final dispositor)in the 5th (pleasure, fun, love) square Saturn (the only aspect Saturn makes). saturn goes back to the Moon so it's connected to the mix. the administrative qualities to see it through.

the Moon's dispositor is Venus in Leo (back to Sun-mercury) So, what comes to mind is a business woman organizing other's parties and weddings, making their dreams come true, and getting paid for it loads.

the Jupiter-Mars in the 5th should give you the right kind of drive and pleasure to enjoy yourself while working. and of course, you giving them the moments of sheer pleasure and happiness. your work and fun together.

***don't take me for granted, for a serious interpretation go see a professional. take this as fun!

gloria,

I see you found your way to the tyl side.

one thing you must keep in mind. although there are no written board rules, the kind of qustions "my data is... tell me that..." are not answered. most people there, starting with tyl, are professionals - ie make a living out of telling people things from their charts. some people may answer, but many times nobody does. don't feel discouraged!

the way to go is a bit different than here. you pick one thing you are interested in your chart, make an interpretation and come up with a theoretical discussion on it.

eg: I noticed that... Moon square saturn people tend to.... in this case i have noticed that... what do you think?
etc.

psychologically, some things may be too painful or personal to be discussed on a public board. that's one reason nobody will go deeper.

also remmember that tyl has a degree in psychology and social studies at harvard. his astrology is quite psychological and the "afflicted" or "jinxed" ideas didn't make it.

if you have no psychological info (although, based on our previous chats I'd swear you do) I'd be happy to help you with that.

read the articles on his site: notebook, analytical techniques and ...the other one. there's a load of them! you will learn a great deal and maybe get a new perspective on things.

it was great seeing you there

Hi Cristiname -

Oh, I totally understand what you mean. I read a whole bunch of stuff on there before I posted. Loved the exercises he gives you to figure out vocations of real people.

However, I was also looking for a link which had basic instructions on what to do so I can try it. The closest thing I found was this:
www.themetaarts.com/pages/noeltyl.html

I still have more searching to do.

As far as you helping me, I wasn't clear on what you were able to go into.

Thanks!

tyl works on books and workshops. if you want to learn his way, you have to pay for it. it's fair enough, i guess

no site, no links. unless you can figue it out for yourself.

Hi Christiname!

You did a great job! It IS what I do, to a certain extent (not weddings and parties, but galas, congresses, trade fairs etc), and well, the money isn't loads (otherwise I wouldn't be looking to change jobs lol)...actually, I'm thinking of becoming independent, going it with a friend of mine (who is a flamboyant leo PR-Advisor with lots of experience: july 31,1971 in Vienna AUS at 10:05 am)
So you really hit the nail on the head, like I said, this is the area I feel at home at, I love organising things and I'm good at my job lol

Thanks a lot Christiname!

you're welcome!

like I said (I think I did, anyway)... it looks like you would be independent, doing your own thing, being your own boss... that's how I understood peregrine moon anyway...

good luck!

In terms of vocation, what do you think of a Peregrine Sun in Libra in 5th House?

The Moon is in Cancer in 3rd, Square Mars, Opp Sat & Jup, Sextile Asc.

MC ruled by Uranus, Uranus in 4th in Leo

Only Aspects to Uranus are Square Asc, & Sextile Mars.

MC is in Aquarius.

This is so cool! Thank you.

send it to me drg_cristina@hotmail.com

also, give me a few clues like hobbies, what you like, what you're good at. but put them lower in the page. I'll look at them after I think a few things.

I think I need corroboration for a clear and personal picture of who YOU are.
