Scorpio.

OK, really - this is just a guess & may be refuted (and will certainly be added to), but Pluto aspects - especially harsher ones and especially to stuff like the Moon, Mars, and Venus - would seem to be logical culprits; as would a lot of 8th House placements (for jealousy), 4th House placements (the potential for clingy-ish jealously and feeling sleighted), and 2nd House placements (for that "You's be MINE!" quality) of the Sun, Moon, Mars, or Venus.
A Pluto or interestingly aspected Mars or Saturn (I dunno why for the latter, it just seems like it might make sense...inferiority complexes and all that) in the 5th, 7th, or 8th (maybe the first) might do the trick, too.

Apart from that, many different signs themselves have the potential for jealously and/or possessiveness, although it manifests differently with each.
Ex:
Cancer = But I neeeeeed you! I neeeeed you soooo much more than everything and everyone else in your life neeeeeds you!
Taurus = I love you, so you're mine.
Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine.
Mine.
Scorpio = *watches silently to see just what you'll do in any given situation, and then thumps you - emotionally, verbally, etc. - if your behavior doesn't measure up to their expectations* ...and those're the evolved ones. The less evolved ones: What-oh-what can I do today to turn you into an emotional wreck in order to prove that you really do care for me and that I really do have power over you?
Gemini: This part of my schizoid personality DOESN'T WANT YOU TO TALK TO HIM! But this other part is going to go over and chat up all of the girls in the room. Toodles!
Pisces: What? Hm? No...I didn't even notice that you were...off doing something else... Oh, no...I'll be...fine...here...
Nonono - don't trouble yourself! I'll just be here...drowning in a bottle...or ten...the intense sorrow that you've given me by not loving me. It's not your fault that...I mean, it's not your fault that I'm here...alone...
And then either
a) What? No...don't cry. I didn't mean to make you cry...
or
b) *goes off to sleep with entire football team, every willing friend of yours, etc - someone who understands the poor soul*
Aquarius: Oooh! Who's your friend? Yeah, he's cute, y'know - sure is attractive. Hey, how about we have a threesome with him? Or a foursome? I have this one friend who I'm just sure would hit it off wonderfully with him. We should invite them both over to dinner tomorrow so we can have a nice, friendly talk about it. Is there anything else I can do to prove just how unaffected I am by your latent attraction to this friend of yours? Do you want just me to sleep with him? I will, you know - I'm just that open minded and free.

Okay, so the last three were primarily to illustrate that even those signs not associated with jealously can suffer the green-eyed monster; such behavior is more rare, but rest assured that it can and does happen.

Certain signs have a much larger capacity for jealousy than others, especially if immature (read: insecure). The single most jealous girl I ever knew was an Aries who was dating my boyfreind's twin brother. Oooh, she hated me. Her boyfriend was a bit too friendly toward me, but hey, I was his bro's girlfriend, so it's not like he could just pretend I didn't exist. The most jealous guy I ever dated happened to be the one mentioned above, with the twin brother. He was a Taurus sun, mars, merc & NN, with a Pisces moon, Saturn & Chiron. Venus in Aries.

My daughter, (a Taurus) battles with that green-eyed monster as well, and she's quite possessive of her freinds too.

Some signs are possessive, and some signs are jealous. The two are not the same, but they DO tend to go hand in hand.

Prox...we were on the same wave-length there, at the same time. (although you are much more ambitious than I in your descriptions) How are ya, anyway?

Strong Scorpio, Cancer, Aries, Taurus, and Leo influence. Libras also get jealous a bit. I do know one Scorpio (Aquarius Moon) who curbs his jealousy quite well. He does look for upsets in behavior patterns, like proxieme said, but he seems to have overcome the jealousy thing. Strong Cancer influence definitely screams jealousy. Just my observations.

Cancer conjunct ascendant, Mercury in Cancer, composite Mars in the 8th or lots of composite/8th house placements. Saturn in the 4th, lots of planets in the 4th and 5th.

Libra Suns are jealous, and Scorpio moons like to hold on to things and people.

Pisces is very jealous and will complain.
Aquarius will freak out if you look at someone else but will flirt with others, only with class.
Aquarians do have more class than me.

Taureans like me get down and dirty, and the more jealous we are, the more physical we get. That is why I curb it, I don't like being manipulated by love triangles.

Scorpios like to create love triangles so that others are jealous.

Taureans and Capricorns do not like to be out of sight or far away physically from the object of their affection. They can wander that way and then get angry and jealous of imagined affairs. I knew a Cap that broke up with me because I moved 20 miles away.
Sags can be very jealous too, they like that good attention and do not others to have it.

Hey, Oxy!
I don't know if Leo's are jealous, so much as just terrified of being made a fool of. It's a pride thing I think.

Capricorns tend to be jealous of other people's success and/or property, especially the "status symbol" type of property.

Hey Lioneye, feels like a long time! How are you?

I was thinking of my Leo ex. But then I realized he has an Aries Moon and an unaspected Venus in Cancer. Now that you mention it, thinking of all my Leo friends...all but one of the girls are not jealous (the one has Moon in Cancer-don't know which house). Eh, I'm just babbling.

Well, babble away. That's how some of the best ideas are formed - through serendipity!

Sounds to me like Aries is in the lead here. Normally, they'd love that, but in this case, maybe not so much, nah?

I would personally have to say that IMO it's hard to stereotype it. I have so many aspects to my chart that indicate insecure jealousy, and yet I'm not. My attitude is, you wanna cheat on me? I'll find out eventually, and then I'll dump you and you will have done me a favor by revealing yourself to be the cheating ass that you are.

I am a Scorp, Cancer rising, Libra Moon, all but one planet in the 4th and 5th house, plus a few hard aspects that lend themselves to jealousy and insecurity. I wouldn't say I have no insecurities (haha on the contrary) - they just don't manifest as jealousy I 'spose.

in response to your question:

any sign can be jealous if the person has low self esteem and lacks faith in his or her partner.

i suggest that anyone who is jealous while in a relationship remove themselves from the relationship, temporarily, so that he / she can get their 'head' together and develop a more positive sense of self.

there is no reason to make your partner experience that kind of relationship.

in addition, i'm often reading about how opposites attract. in my opinion, this is certainly not the case. i believe that like attracts like and we are always our own experience. a great book by the way: you are always our own experience.

water seeks its own level.

be blessed!

A great saying is:

The two most destructive forces in life are water and jealousy.

But I wonder if there are different types or degrees of jealousy, and if one can ever really keep them in separate compartments.

Is jealousy always a sign of insecurity?

If someone feels insecure because they are not in control of a situation, does that make them jealous?

What if the situation did not involve a love interest at all?

What if you feel insecure because you are not driving the car you're riding in. Does that make you jealous of the driver?

What if you are not jealous if your lover is with someone else, but would be jealous of the person they totally left you for?

Do we experience jealousy from the most primitive part of the brain? If so, what does jealousy protect us from? Or is it there to keep our clans intact?

Is jealousy a primitive emotion which modern people can and should rise above?

Are really jealous people going to get disability one day for being so primitive? Are detached people more evolved?

I'm a Leo and I get crazy jealous. My best friend is a leo sun and leo moon and she never gets jealous but she has the biggest heart, I just dont get her sometimes. But I have pluto on my ascendant so that could be why. I'm totally obsessive too.

Shrugs...I love a woman that is jealous and possessive. That's what I like. I would have serious trouble with a woman who is detached.
I know that I am jealous, possessive type too. She and I are both loyal, faithful people too.We are very intense, passionate types....we love that about each other. Our chemistry is intense, passionate too.

My Sun,Mercury,and Venus in Scorpio
Venus and Pluto in mutual reception
Moon quincunx Pluto

My girlfriend has Moon-Saturn in Scorpio conjunct Pluto, and they oppose Mars.

different strokes for different folks.

btw..she and I are opposites in some ways.....we have ascendants closely opposite each other too.

I am terribly jealous...i wish i wasn't. i get so jealous that it hurts and i cry. i would think my moon in acqua would make me less. though my moon makes me a bit detached and i act as if i don't care...but inside i am steaming!!! i need someone who is less jealous and less intense than me...maybe a moon in capricorn and sun in Taurus man...thats my dream man:-). I think that combination is less jealous than sun is scorpio persons!

Me three!
I have Venus in Scorpio, Mars in Leo, & I have to constantly deal with jealousy in intimate relationships if I really care....

But I have also been unfaithful & provoked my lovers with tantalizing behavior which has resulted in other experiencing jealousy "at my hands". There have been more than one occasion, during my youth, when I'd had two people arguing over me.

I get really jealous even when I have no reason to be, jealousy toward people I'm not even involved with. But I don't show it, and play it off as a cold "I don't care"

I think it's probably my Scorp venus, pluto, & rising..or the majority of my planets being in 2nd house, though I don't become possessive..just inwardly jealous.
