Oh, silly sweet Virgo dude, so your confidence in my writing inspired me to create this....hope it fits what you're looking to add to "Connecting with Your Opposite"....
- Kat
PS: I'll think up a title soon...have to get to class right now.
********
Gemini Woman/ Sagittarius Man

Why can’t you take me along?
On those wild wide voyages you take?
The ones where you find,
All those adoring young fans
Whose hearts you never meant to break,
Until that one night you called me half-drunk in May
To wish me happy birthday, too early, by a month and a day
Oh, or maybe it was March… I can’t keep details straight,
And I asked why I heard the morning news,
Since you were fishing,
At half past eight…..

…..in the morning, right?

I’m a morning person myself, always wide-awake by six
Oh, I don’t care who you’re with right at this moment,
I’m hopelessly bored and lonely, needing a playtime fix
So can you Express-mail me a plane or train ticket?
A red-eye flight would be just fine
We can ride the open road together,
I’d let you borrow my winged shoes
Darn. Now that I think, you have too many feet
Oh well, we’ll still frolic our way cross-country
I’ll be flexible and quiet in my seat

Though I can’t promise on the “quiet” part
Yes, you know me all too well
I’m a noisy little girl,
And you’re a walking “expert” everything
Don’t call me cold, I just feel with my head
Nothing wrong with that, unlike your misguided craze
That leaves me in a daze,
As it springs out of no where, that puffed macho ego
Thinking women have their “place”,
I won’t bother waiting for your distractible face

So anyhow…. where I was getting at,
Before we were rudely sidetracked,
Oh, heck, just let me know where you are,
I don’t mind flying far….for you.

You are a wonderful poet, VAA! Never stop writing. How did your trip to Colorado go? Anything with Tony? My apologies if you have already discussed this and I missed it. I've been a bit busy lately and don't get to Lindaland as often as I would like.

FishKitten,
Thanks for asking about Tony... Yes, a bit has happened. To make it easier on my fingers, I'll just paste a link to the update below:
Update on Tony and CO!

Also, check out some of my other posts on Free-for-all for other info about this situation...
I am hopeful, but not watching the mailbow as closely as I was the first few days home (referring to other top :"I'm watching the mailbox!.....).
Appreciate any advice/feedback on the new developments.
As always,
~Love and lite~

I read through the other topic. My, my, you two do have a volatile relationship. But what else would an Aries/Gemini mix be? Fire and Air are always hot. I'm glad you two are having fun exploring love together. It sounds like a very special time. May wonderful things come your way.

oh! I just noticed this!! I love you man!!!

Getting right to work on getting it up...the poem!

there! http://www.lovestarz.com/geminisag.html

it is a nice balance to taj's more ethereal poem...yours is much more like Linda and it is fabulous!!! Thank you for helping to complete the series because all work and no play makes Carlo a dull boy lol

you know, my middle name is Tony, so if it doesn't work out...haha, although it sounds like you are a devoted woman, and in my opinion, if a guy cannot see that (and to be frank and honest, I have had my opinions over the years with respect to Gemini guys, often saying that they are the least equipped of all Sun sign guys at having a good, honest and enduring relationship with any woman, having heard my share of stories from my friends who tangled with them...even Danita now), then it is his loss. Yet proceed carefully giving your heart away too completely or quickly, and watch and continue to check him on a cavalier attitude...they all seem to exhibit characteritics that are not in accordance with a high level of emotional maturity in relationships, until they age, it seems to me. It seems to often that people keep their eyes half closed during courtship, and then they open widely later when there is a relationship. I often think it's better to have eyes wide open at first, so you can relax your gaze later. Although Aries...in with both feet...what can you do

Yet love unconditionally anyway! and know that Linda would be proud of you for making such a valiant effort with your square. It seems that you have a Virgo sensibility not to lose control, and Linda always said that of all signs, Virgo is the least seduceable (and one of the most seductive). Love is a choice, and if you make the choice to love this boy, you will learn some things and possibly have some greater rewards, like a better understanding of guys, if nothing else, or at least of Gemini guys. I wish you all the best fortune and strength in giving your love unconditionally, and I am glad to count you a colleague and friend here in the name of Linda Goodman

Amor Vincit Omnia!

Love,
Carlo

Ohhhh....Awww...Carlo, your post almost made me cry, in a good way.
I'm really, really glad you liked the poem. It just seemed to spring through my fingers into the keyboard, as though I was channeling someone else's wise insight (perhaps Linda's?) into this oh so personal relationship between two signs that both are pleasing and aggravating to me (since we square), and yet one I've never experienced, since they're the ones involved.
BTW, Carlo, I've decided on the title, and coincidently, it's a Linda-like one: "Always bring along a pal, maybe, perhaps, a Gemini gal?"
Thanks for the advice regarding Geminis, and for your interest in my situation with Tony. I hope I have my eyes wide open, at least I'm pretty sure I do at the moment. I know what you mean about the 'cavalier attitude', but I think he's growing out of it already, slowly, but surely. Yes, my Aries rising does get me in trouble some days, but I believe that it's the only way I'm capable of fully experiencing life, and it nicely balances my ultra-cautious/paranoid-of-feeling Virgoness. I do feel that he appreciates my devotedness, as he is sentimentally sensitive himself, in a macho guarded way.
I do hope Linda would be proud of me,....she was always so dedicated to the belief that Love can overcome everything, even challenging aspects like squares.
I love being a Virgo, and keeping my head around seduction and still knowing I possess the power to be the ultimate "seductress" if I choose. You know how that goes, my sign-mate, cold-masked Virgo, you .
I'm glad every minute that I choose to love Tony with all my soul. It's so freeing to feel that magnitude of emotion, and warm and fuzzie to know that he considers me a "best" friend (which is quite a bit for a possibly Sag-rising, right?).
I fully appreciate your well-wishes, and am also glad to count you as friend and collegue, and fellow word-artist in the name of our beloved Linda.
Vivez L'amour!
and lite,

okie, added the title, that's a good title too

hey, what ever happened to Taj?

Yes, I think that we Virgos have the ability to love openly with little or no fear of being hurt. You see, no matter what anyone says, no matter how tough we all think we are, no matter what, when we love another, we become vulnerable. Yet no matter what, we have to become vulnerable in order to truly love and be loved. Anyone who tries to run the show, control the other person, keep things a certain, predictable way, any of it...they will fail in love. Love is truly unconditional, it has to be given freely and without any feeling that "I deserve" anything in return, and I think that Virgos are probably the best sign in this respect, since we are the sign of selfless service, and we attempt to help (love) others. Oh, not that love means help, yet to love someone is a choice, and so is to help someone, and who could disagree that generally speaking, love helps. Virgos are good I think at choosing those whom we should love, and loving-come-what-may, since we usually help others in that same sense. So don't ever worry about the pain you may or might endure, that is the future, and forget the past hurts at the hands or words of another when you love anew, since it is so the past. Love and live only in the now and you have won, as it truly is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Jump in with both feet then!

Usually we have to walk through the dark to get to the light, so you bring your light and guess what...the dark actually disappears in an instant! Try it sometime, stand in a dark room, then turn on a light! The dark disappears altogether and in a snap when you bring light, so just bring light and love and you have won Everyone loves a winner, and as the old song goes, and never forget it:

The world will always welcome lovers, as time goes by.

Blessings,
Carlo

D@mn Carlo, that is so poetic and so wise all at once. I love it.

And VAA,
ohmygoddness that was a lovely poem. It really reminds me of Linda's writing. Beautiful.

Also, as a Sag woman who has been crazy in love with a flighty Gemini guy, I think your poem could work both ways..
It brought back fond memories of that torturous yet amazing .

I love this...

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O, no! it is an ever fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand’ring bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

~ Shakespeare

one of the original members of the first Linda Goodman site, a Cappy, wrote this poem on a very cool Virgo she knew...

***

For a KNOWFLAKE who cares about the TRUTH
With Virgo Clarity, he proceeds forsooth
Many a lesson he has learnt at what seems a great cost
You think that could stop him ? No, he is not lost!
Emotions he respects but feels that can deter one
If you could just keep those aside, he believes, you have won
For then, with objectivity, you call a spade a spade
Courteous yet firm, he believes, you've got it made
His vision is encompassing, he wants ALL to KNOW
With Clarity and Truth, you can stride forward for more
Undeterred by human obstacles that can cause you to miss
The "truth-hurt-set-you-free" remedy for eternal bliss
Yes, He is even more sensitive to such apparent human flaws
He is "Virgo-for-perfection", ruled by Vulcan's truth-abiding laws
And what with the Leos who walk through his chart
He has to be right and voice his truth from his teaching heart
Now at times this may not set well with a Knowflake or two
But really, if one knows a Virgo, he's upset as much as you
He's aware that distortions, however slight they may be,
Can halter the slow-progressing foundation of truth you see
So be it a person, a religion, a creed, a view that comes by
He scans and studies and filters - he can't afford a lie
With his Moon in Aquarius be ready for some quirky zig-zag posts
That may topple you off your seats - its like you're seeing ghosts
Explanations ? He has them a-plenty for he's ahead of you
In analysing his own statements - are they false? Do they ring true?
Not born Virgos, it does take most of us quite some time
To realise that idolization of Self is akin to a crime
But by and by we'll learn to hear the clarion call of a Virgo's song
Our Higher elves have recognized their devotion to Clarity all along
Now that we understand this Knowflake for following his quest
Its HAPPY BIRTHDAY from us - we wish for you only the best!

PS
When you Virgo-read the lines right to the end
KNOW that these word-druids are written by a friend

~ Miss Melina Macbeth, aka druid, On Carlo, August 1999

here is one I did for Gemini-Virgo, though it could be Gemini-Sag, since it's mostly about the Gemini girl...I end it with a nibble from Linda

You liked it when we talked
And talked and talked
So you said, and
So I thought.

And my bright, sparkling eyes
You said they told lies
So I went away
That fateful day.

You seemed so surprised!
I mean, I came right back
Three weeks later.
I was in Vegas, man
I came back with a tan
I got it for you!
I won money too!
So I paid our rent
And out you went!
Almost as fast as me!
Blame blasted Mercury!

Anyway, to change the subject
You should come back
I mean I certainly did
And you def should too
I mean I totally would
If I were you.

Carlo...when you seemed concerned about the appropriateness of the pics, I was prepared to dislike the images or to find them too provocative. Yet, I actually like them a lot, and yes, they do fit the mood of the poem. There's an air (no pun intended) of anxiously warm attention to the lady in the images, and it applies nicely.
