Karma astrology http://www.karmastrology.com/

Good link for beginners http://celestteal.bizland.com/

An introduction to the houses and angles http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/contents.html

Remember too that each hour that we are born is under a different sign, according to the Chinese astrology method, starting with midnight Aquarius/Tiger. I have seen this work. Example I was born at 8:30pm, the hour of the Dog/Libra. I would give off the appearance of a Libra, even though I was born the year of the Rooster/Virgo.

I also get along very well with those born in the hour of Leo/Monkey and Aries/Dragon, which fits my Sag/1st house and Venus in Aries, but I also like those born in the hour of Virgo/Rooster, and Capricorn/OX. I know many outspoken Tiger/Aqua year people who are Pisces or Virgo, and other aspects do not give a reason. For that reason I do trust this system and I encourage everyone to look closely at Chinese symbols.

Each animal is an element and that element that you are lacking is what you are attracted to. Lacking in water you are attracted to both water physically and water people in both western and chinese. The water represents mother, so your mother was not available. There is an animal for the day, month, year and hour of your birth and they add up.

I was born the year of the brown rooster/virgo, month of the green snake/taurus, day of the green horse/gemini, and hour of the green dog/libra. My elements are mainly feminine, and my missing element is water, my lucky colour is black, my favorite direction is north and I love the water.

When I looked at my ex's symbols he had the same elements, only the year was different.

I have read charts this way.
Take a look at http://www.chineseastrologyonline.com/
There are several good books out there too.

Take Care Natasha

Thank you for the links Another one for some basic information and compatibility is http://chinese.astrology.com

I'm an Aries Sun/Scorpio Rising
Day: Male Metal, White Tiger
Month: Male Metal, White Dragon
Year: Female Wood, Green Rabbit
Hour: Male Fire, Red Dog

Water is my lucky element as well, I've wanted to live next to the ocean for years. I find the lucky direction interesting ~ a feng shui book (by Lillian Too, I think) showed my lucky directions as Southwest for success, West for good relationships, Northwest for good health, and Northeast for learning. North is supposed to be one of my worst, I can't remember why that is though.

Angela it looks like we are both Scorpio risings born in the hour of the Dog. I like Rabbit people even though they are my opposite, Neptune is conjunct my ascendant, that's why.

That was a good link,

Gloria, they call the Ox the Cow. I like the Ox better too:> What year are you 1949 or 61?

All my birth info is in my Profile. It's 61. OK - so how come I've never heard of the "Cow" before, and why is it different like that? Is it accurate? Or more for entertainment?

As a result of these differences, is the "compatibility" section accurate?

Gloria, the cow and the ox are the same thing, just different words, this site is very accurate. You are born in the same hour as me, hour of the Dog/Libra, are you also a night person?

So you are an earth woman with an air ascendant, hmmm that combination is said to be very take charge, and discriminating. Very true.

Very take charge & discriminating? You think? Hmmmm... probably true, but why does that exhaust me so?

Yes, I've always been a night person. Even as a child.

I'll go back into the site and give it another look.

Thanks -

Hi Natasha,

I tend to like roosters as well ~ my sun is in the Sixth house too, I keep meaning to post something in one of your threads.

I used to love being up all night, especially when drawing or painting. Over the last few years I've needed to be out in the sun and fresh air more, but there are times when I still love it.

Natasha, what happened to your Saggie ascendant? Did you recently get your chart rectified?

Yes Zorana, rectified my chart and strongly believes that I am a Scorpio Ascendant/12th house, Neptune conjunct. Sag is still in the 1st house so I come off in my communications with others as a Sag. It makes sense because I am very outspoken like a Sag but intense and seem secretive to others. I am constantly presenting myself and vocalizing the feelings of others around me.

I am like an instrument always on, vocalizing opinions but they about feelings, empathy that kind of thing.

I'm very domineering emotionally in some ways, and now as I get older I am more vocal. That's my real self, my first house. I feel I need to move more towards the Sag now, but my motivations are Scorpio/12th.

Thanks, yes I like Roosters too
They are kind of physical.

I like the male roosters:> They like to get committed too.

I am seeing a Rabbit now, my opposite, very hard to read but sensitive which suits my Neptunian nature. Time will tell if I can handle him.
