Hi Everybody,

I hope everyone is doing well.

I am curious about something lately, so if anyone wants to offer their own valued opinion, I'd love to hear it from you.

Usually, I feel that the Composite Chart for a relationship is more likely to be the way that the couple experiences their relationship together to be...

until I change my mind and think that it's actually maybe the Synastry Chart which will tell the real story about how a couple experiences their lives together to be instead, lol.

But still, I think that my vote still usually leans a bit more towards the Composite Chart though, after all.

What does anybody else here think about this?

I understand that BOTH the Synastry AND the Composite Chart have their own value for describing the relationship from different angles for people, but...

which ONE is MORE likely to describe the way the couple experiences their relationship to be on a DAILY BASIS though?

I hope you all know what I mean here.

I mean, which chart is more likely to be the ONE that the couple looks at together and says...

"Oh yes, oh my gosh, THAT description of the way we are together is just SO US MOST EVERYDAY, isn't it?"

Thanks for any and all replies to my question!

And Gloria, if you're reading this...

Major Congragulations to you on your sweet turn of events in the romance dept. lately!

I hope that things work out for the best for the both of you in this new relationship that you've found with one another!

Oh Hey Playful -

Thank you so much for the kind words. It is a sweet tangent, isn't it? But right now I'm utterly confused. I'll express more on my thread.

I hope you get the info you need regarding Synastry/Composite. As of yet, I haven't asked this question myself. And then there's the issue of one's Natal on top of everything else, and how one deals with relationships in general.

And THEN, there's the transits occurring at the same time. There's so much going on.

So far I've found common themes in all four, which helps detect the purpose for being together. And then there's the loner thorns which do pop up now and then, or is held secretively by the other until such time a revolt is carried out.

Let me know which "free" Synastry interpretation service you use. I've only found one that's worth anything

A good rule of thumb is that a composite reflects the relationship itself, while the synasty represents what each person will bring to the relationship.

I do both types and it just depends what question I'm trying to answer. Astro junkie is correct. I have often found the problems in a relationship stemed from one of the people's transits. According to Bob Hand, the composite chart is affected by transits as well.

See, and I never even thought of looking at the transits of the Composite! I was simply referring to the transits in one's Natal...

*goes over to look at current transits of Composite*

At this point, for the most part, I think that I do still believe that the Composite Chart is more reliable for how the relationship will be experienced by the parties on a daily basis, even barring the elements of Natal Charts and Transits etc...

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question.

It always helps me a lot to get other people's points of view on things.

Keep in mind that you can't do a composite unless you have both birthdates, whereas you can still do a synasty chart.

How can you do a synastry chart without both birthdates? I think you meant birth TIMES, didn't you, Lanny?

I've read that a composite chart is the most accurate snap shot of the entity known as "relationship", and if you want to see how this "relationship" is going to feel to you, you would compare it to your own natal chart. Look for repeated themes, like if you have a Venus/Neptune square in your natal, and the moon is conjunct Neptune in the composite, then it's highly likely that this relationship is going to echo the same Neptunian themes that you've been struggling with all your life. Which is good, because you probably have learned to cope with them to some extent.
