Don't get me wrong. I dig her, but something has always bothered me about her. That sort of "nicey-nicey" personae she always has...OK - Picture THAT Janet Jackson and then look at this chart are they the same person? Sun - Taurus Moon - Aries Merc - Taurus Venus - Aries Mars - Taurus Jupiter - Cancer Saturn - Pisces I don't know her Rising... Here's an interpretation I found for Nipplegate Day::: "Janet Jackson was born with a bold, energetic Sun-Mars conjunction in Taurus (May 16, 1966; Gary, IN; time unknown**), giving her self-confidence and determination to reach her career goals. This very personal Sun-Mars combination is modified by aspects to all three of the outer planets, coloring her ego-defined drives with transpersonal influences, and bestowing a kind of mythic or super-charged presence. Jackson 's Mercury is also found in Taurus, usually indicating a personality blessed with common sense. In this case, Jackson 's Mercury opposes Neptune , infusing her vocalizations and thinking processes with imagination and fantasy. On Super Bowl Sunday the transiting Sun-Neptune conjunction was squaring her Mercury, spotlighting a tendency toward faulty judgment, or if you will, toward creative publicity stunts. The fallout from the overexposure led to her being dismissed from Sunday's Grammy Awards, but astrologically she is poised for great fame and prosperity. This coming week transiting Uranus forms a very favorable trine to her Jupiter, giving her a windfall of public support and heightened celebrity status. Over the coming year she has a unique success indicator (progressed Sun conjunct Jupiter), further raising her national profile, and promising much success with her new CD." IP: Logged |

I know two people with Sun/Mars conjunctions and they are both very nice to people they don't know well-they are excellent politicians and are very well known in the community. But they do tend to be discriminating in their friends, and their careers are everything to them. They have tons of energy and sweep you away with it, they make excellent salespeople, but we always argue because I do not like being persuaded of anything, especially to help anyone else's career other than my own, or those that I know well. I have made both friends and bitter enemies with the conjunction. But the conjunction can make someone persuade anyone to be their friend, for a purpose. Natasha

Yeah - it's like that "I'm so shy" thing with her. It's not that Sun Conj Mars wouldn't be good. I'd LOVE to have that. Then again, My Mars Conj Neptune probably avoids Nipplegates from happening. IP: Logged |

Haven't heard anything about the Sun-Mars conjunction being 'bold' and 'energetic' before. I've got a Gemini Sun-Mars conj... why is it supposed to be so strong to have such a conjunction?IP: Logged |

It would be expressed in Gemini delta. Mars conjunct Sun makes you a lot like an Aries-bold, daring, cheeful, sociable, assertive, Aries is the sign of the ego, the individual. Expressed in Gemini, it would make you more hesitant than in Taurus. You would assert yourself through communication, acting, writing, and speaking, you command attention whether you know it or not.I know a conjunction in Virgo and she is nervous and timid sometimes but she doesn't know that it comes off as temporary-meaning underneath I see her as strong and commanding. She'd make a good ship's captain, always in command. She doesn't believe me and relies on her friends like family-in a material way-but she is their leader, she inspires others. If you inspire others it's good, if you lean too much on others than you are not living up to your potential. The conjunction also seems to be very family oriented. Maybe the forward motion comes from breaking away from the family influence. Aries in general is very much into mold breaking, and many Aries people have supportive families, or domineering ones. Janet has worked with her family very well, at the same time going her own way. But I sense she is super dependent emotionally on her connection to the Jackson's and her inner family. She is always sometimes confused about her sexuality, remember when her ex sued her for alimony? She did a cover nude, and sang songs like, I just want you to F...me, totally the opposite of her squeaky clean image. But then people didn't like it and she changed again. She is confused a little. She is a fantastic actress too, I have seen her act. I know a Virgo with the conjunction and she is confused over her sexuality with women versus men. She says she likes women too, but she will go with who ever furthers her interests in life. I was her friend for a while, then when I didn't show interest that way when she wanted to kiss me, she dropped me but then came back when I could do something for her career (wallet). I don't trust actresses much in person. Like yes, but trust no. Bold, yes, sometimes immature, depending on the other aspects. But it does say success eventually in most cases as long as the person is committed and patient with others. It's a lot like having the Sun in Aries, or in the 1st house. I like the moon/mars conjunction very much as most people with this conjunction are in the healing professions. I already deal with artists with egos on a daily basis so I can out snob anyone, that's probably why I have so little patience. And I have Venus in Aries, Sag/1st house, and Moon trine Neptune. Name Dropping time.A family member of mine worked for her on her last tour. What was found to be amazing was that she was SOOOO shy. Very close to her dancers but everyone else there was a huge wall. When she would meet with kids and stuff after the show there was no problem but with the adults that she didn't know...she was nice but her fear was platable. She was very controling but not in a bad way but there is nothing 'unscripted' and 'unplanned' by Janet. Her career is HER career. There is no show that happens without her complete ok... funny - i have my sun conjunct mars in cancer and pluto on my asc(both planets rule aries) and I can definately say that the aspect affects my personality-bold, assertive and very blunt. thus i have a tattoo of a ram(even though I'm a cancer!) just because I identify more with aries. i wouldn't think that janet jackson and i share the same aspect. she always seemed so laid back. But then again- my conjuction is in a cardinal sign- which intensifies it even more. does anybod have a planet conjuncting their sun and personally identify with that sign(eg Sun Conj. neptune=acts more like a piceas?)IP: Logged |
