Hey all. I was just pondering my current predicament of deciding upon a career. I have my Midheaven in Gemini and I want to pursue a career in Architecture or Computer Science which is odd, coz both require adequate math experience and I suck at math. However its something I really wanna do so so I guess I'd better learn.

Anyhow, I wanna see if there is indeed a correlation between the Midheaven and one's chosen career so if you would, post your Midheaven and your career, or the field you plan to study

DK, I really think that Venus has more to do with what you like for work than your midheaven-midheaven shows what you do for other people, not what you do for yourself.

Example
Lawyers-Many have Venus in Sag
Artists-Many have Venus in Pisces or Aries
Actors-Many have Venus in Leo
regardless of the midheaven
Charles Shultz had a Virgo Midheaven but he didn't like to sew, or nurse, and he wasn't an officer of the law, or a chemist
But he did have a strong Sag signature, including a Sag rising

If you have Venus in an air sign you are going to work with people no matter what.

Math isn't so hard, if you have a tutor, and architecture sounds fun, what is fun to you is what you will enjoy doing-

I think possibly it is a combination of both your Venus and Midheaven, which would make sense. I do have Venus in Libra but I tend not to lean towards things which have a heavy social aspect. I definitely have a need to communicate ideas through other mediums (Gem Midheaven) though, whether it is writing or music.

You brighten my life like a polystyrene hat but it melts in the sun like a life without love I've waited for you so I'll keep crying out without you"

And then there's those of us who never land into ONE career...

DK, my old psychologist had Venus in Libra and he was very unsocial-but he loved analyzing relationships. Venus in Libra likes balance in all things, beauty, harmony, marriage. You would make a good counsellor or teacher, but Libras are not overly social-I think of Capricorns as more social. Libras like to find themselves through relationships with others, but you may want to step back from others in order to see yourself more clearly in your profession.

Yes some of us prepare the ground for new professions, jobs, homes for others all the time. My career involves preparing new homes for other people, changes are constant, there is no career, just preparing the ground for change constantly yet the path remains the same.

Real estate developers are always the same but the career constantly changes without their control. So lots of professions involve change, and do not stay the same.

A psychologist would experience hundres of different kinds of personalities because humans are so different and versatile. Nothing standard there. An accountant can experience changes by working for different companies.

Better to find what you are good at, like to do, and where you want to be seen-it's an identity problem not a career problem.

Does anyone agree, or disagree?

... well "identity problem" in identifying what you are passionate about. Not every senses a "passion" for one thing early in life, or even until their late 20's. Sometimes people aren't able to do it when they finally figure it out because the timing's all wrong.

Everything was so interesting to me, that in college I didn't rest until I got into journalism. I have always been a writer, but when you study journalism, you become a REALLY good writer in so many ways. For me it allowed me to make use of my love for research into different subjects all the time. Also gave me an outlet for my sociological slant on understanding people.

When I look back on it now, I see how obvious that was because it branched off of my love of writing poems, stories, songs, etc. But I absolutely HATED high school, and couldn't WAIT to go to college. I actually started college during my last year of high school.

So because of "social" or "emotional" blocks I had in earlier years, I did not merge into it. The day I started college, all that psychological crapp virtually disappeared.
