Mercury is retrograde right now so I hope I don't confuse us all, but here it goes.

The nodes are points in the heavens (not planets) where the moons path crosses the ecliptic from north latitude to south latitude.(and vice versa)

Have you ever noticed that during an eclipse the nodes are conjunct the sun and moon? In this instance the nodes show us where the earth is.

In astrology the nodes are used to define your karmic purpose here and how you figure into the grand scheme of things. The south node represents your past (lives) and lessons to be learned this time around. This is a familiar area of life where it is easy to just stay stagnate. But you should always try to rise above whats common. Be your best.
The North Node shows the way. This is new territory and a little intimidating but the road to true enlightenment. House placement, signs, and aspects tell the rest.

For starters, just read about Sun in Sag. Those are the lessons you are coming from, and basing your current Gemini lessons on. Then read about Gemini Sun.

I don't know how more simple or clear to make it. I mean, I just looked at all the information that I have on NN's and there's so much you'd need 10 of these Web pages.
