Topic: holy moly! merc ret?!

I just came here so sorry if there's been other Merc Retrograde things posted! (i skimmed through and saw one recent one). So, I have a basic understanding of the Retrograde, enough to know it is almost definitely affecting me (if the book is right, it said those with merc retro occurring in their sun, moon or rising sign are affected), however the things I was reading weren't exactly clear...does it affect friendships you have been forming before the retrograde occurred? Lately I've watched a few of mine fall apart, or have become very rocky over the course of the retrograde. Those ones there were aleady existing, underlying problems that all seemed to have surfaced, and tonight was the last straw for one of my friendships and it turned into an explosive arguement that led to the ending of the friendship.I just wondered if this is a common thing during Mercury Retrograde. Also I know people should be doing a lot of the things that start with "re-". Should I be calling old friends I haven't talked to in a while? (p.s. Hi,
I am just curious about something if anyone wants to please answer a question for me.
How does a period of Mercury Retrograde like this one effect someone already dealing with a Mercury Retrograde in their natal chart?
Is it like, double the trouble and confusion for them during these Retrograde periods or something? Lol

Hey fellow Knowflakes....
From the way I've always understood it, Mercury Retrograde was a time to do exactly what you've both mentioned: by all means, reconnect with people, rethink life, review your communications...etc.And as for having Merc Rx in your natal chart, I've heard that the Merc Rx periods, like now, should prove smoother for you than the rest of us. Merkat, since you're a Virgo sun (foster-ruled by Mercury), communcations in general have been very hazey for the last two weeks ro so, as you felt the upcoming Retrograde a week earlier than most people, and you'll feel it for a full week after it "ends". That's the blessing Merc bestows upon us Virgos and Geminis. I avoid any non-essential communication in any form during those challenging few weeks of Retrograde by making sure all important business and letters get sent/taken care of before the full affect moves in, and then, in simple words, I hibernate 
I've almost lost majorly important friendships during Merc Rx, but then, I remembered that if I sat back, and didn't respond to their misunderstood anger, it would clear itself up, and voila! It did. Mercury Retrograde is, in layman's terms:
"A time for potential major miscommunication and misunderstanding" Hope that helps.
I'm a Virgo too, so I hear ya on the issues. Hide, wait til April 30th, and then handle people again. JMHO. ------------------

Yay! That answer ruled, it just sucks that even my re- things aren't going smoothly during the ret (sigh). Haha I've gone in hibernation mode...in one sense it's bad socially for me but at the same time mercury retrograde isn't much better, so I'd rather be hiding! It's so hard for me to hide because I'm having a hard time personally, but hey! Only 2-3 more weeks  Thanks!IP: Logged |

No problem, merc friend. I hear ya on the hibernation bit. Just think, only 10 more days...  Then, you can break out the fun summer clothes, and bright social summer attitude!------------------
