Hello Knowflakes,

recently I got my daily "horror"scope from Astrocenter (www.astrocenter.com -- they're really good!) and it said

"Wednesday's aspect between Venus and retrograde Jupiter totally blows your diet, although Jupiter's placement in your chart isn't conducive to losing weight, anyway. With Mars in your sign, working out is a more effective way to slim down. "

Dieting and losing and gaining weight is and has always been a major issue in my life. I was bulimic for 12 years, and have been in recovery for the 3 or 4 years, but I have the feeling that I'm fighting a losing battle. Every year I gain an extra 5-8 pounds that really "eat me up".

I have jupiter in the 6th (well, in the 5th at 17°50, 6th House starts at 18°), in aries as well as chiron there, too. An unaspected taurus moon. Jupiter squares Saturn and conjuncts Mars (so, Saturn squares Mars as well), Mars in the fifth house. Transiting Jupiter is squaring my nSun and nNeptune.

Ok, so the question, if you read this far, how does Jupiter in a natal chart and transiting Jupiter effect one's Diet (either "diet" diet, or your normal daily diet). Sometimes I have the feeling that I can be really strict on my diet (lost 11kg last year) and then other times I just have NO discipline to stick with it (gained 11kg this year). Whast transits do you have to watch out for and does anyone have good advice how to prepare to takle these transits. I'm sick of constantly being in a state of war with myself over this issue and am willing to take damn jupiter on!

Hope this post made sense, I'm a poor gemini going through merc retrograde!!!

What do you want to know about it?

Not too interesting, 5th house pisces, with Mars and Jupiter both in aries, with a loose conjunction (5° approaching) (jupiter being at the very end of the 5th house, according to astro.com interpreted into the sixth house)

Mars opposes Pluto, which I find interesting because I'm a scorpio rising (doesn't mars co-rule scorp?) with an 8th house sun.

And Saturn squares both Mars and Jup.

But I thought 6th house rules food and eating?

If you want a look...

Be glad for your insight!

Yeah... well... what the heck do I know...

But consider that Uranus is in your 12th (hidden compulsions?), helped along with Mars in Aries in the 5th.

Thanks, Gloria! So you think Mars in aries combined with uranus in the twelfth makes me compulsive? Has nothing to do with jupiter? I hadn't thought about that. Actually, I haven'T spent barely any time on researching my uranus.

No one else? I would really like to know which energy here is the culrpit and what I could do to harness and change my use of that energy...

Just about peaking my saturn return lol...lots of "old stuff" has to get chucked, but I'm feeling blind as to how to get rid of it all!

Nackie, I'll have to write more later, but I have been dealing with similar issues (I saw your post in Lioneye's saturn thread, and started to write a post then, it's on another computer though). I have uranus in the 12th, jupiter in the fifth - opposing pluto and square saturn, I'm going through my saturn return as well. My physical energy has been all over the place, either way up or non-existant, and I'm having a hard time controlling my cravings at the moment too. At the moment, I'm just antsy and waiting for my tea to settle, so that I can go and exercise.

Cool, Angie! When's your birthday, your chart sounds a lot like mine! I'm June 6, 1975 in Windsor, Ontario.

Take care,

Hi Nackie

I tried to add my link, but it wouldn't work for some reason. My birthday is April 14th, 1975, 8:40pm, Hillingdon, england (you need to use Ruislip on Astro.com or some reason, it doesn't recognise hillingdon ).
