I've been away Turkey hunting for a few days, got a nice Tom too, and when I got back, my email is full of complaints and concerns about fighting in our family here.

I view us as a family and having grown up in afairly large family, realize that sometimes individuals get their feelings hurt by other family members, and occassionally try to hurt others, but in the end are still family.

All that I ask is that we not call each other names or be mean spirited. I realize that Mercury isn't helping right now, but we of all people should realize that and control our words.

Unlike regular families however, we don't have to stay here and accept behavior that is inappropriate, we can leave. Hopefully that won't happen. After all we are family here, all of us.

Peace

Lanny

Oh dear, that must've come as quite a shock, Lanny. How was your trip, btw? Oh, wait, I misread your comment and thought you wrote "away in Turkey hunting" ... didn't make sense to me but I thought you'd have some interesting reason for hunting in Turkey.

I don't know if you know or if it was mentioned in the e-mails you received (or even if you can share that sort of thing) ... but have people been fighting in the Astrology forum as well, or any of the other forums besides Global Unity? I only ask because you posted this topic here in the Astrology forum and not in Free for All, for example.

I'm sure you did mean LindaLand as a whole being a family though, but I think that the GU forum can certainly resemble a grumpy family reunion (I'm reminded of Thanksgiving for some reason) at times. I do think there is still a lot of Love here even in spite of the arguments, though perhaps some of our Lights (I do not mean to imply anyone in particular and certainly include myself in this) have not been shining as brightly or clearly as we would like. I echo your sentiment that people should continue to give this place a chance because it is so very good and kind more than it is argumentative.

Let's just blame it all on Mercury Rx!

Wait, no, that wouldn't resolve anything, would it?

I think you're reminded of Thanksgiving because of the Turkey reference.
We should all gobble gobble ourselves down a few pegs. * I am an offender~ or should I say DEfender. Maybe I am just a Fender. Good thing they are designed to take alot.
There will be more podiums and more corners to hide in, but I have a Fourth house Sun.. do you really think I would endeavor to leave my family? Naw!!! I just throw some dishes and then come back hugging. Some accepted, some not. S'all good.

Yup, tis all good

ROFLOL

pixlepixie
You know, the Turkey thing is an obvious connection, isn't it? "Where's the forest ... I only see trees?!"
I can't stop laughing over the Fender comment as well, though it is actually a very insightful comparison.

juniperb
Here I was, trying to contain my laughter over pixlepixie's post, when I read yours. Still ... laughing ... stitch ... in ... side ...

whew, ok ...
Thanks for pointing out the Tom thing because, growing up a "city" girl, I had no idea what he meant. I decided not to try to comment on it since my first thought was of Tom the cat from "Tom and Jerry", and my second thought was that of an actual man named Tom (no man-hunting now, really, how absurd of me) ... though I was sure I was wrong with both those ideas.

ROFLMAO oh dear God/dess, arn`t we all a piece of work.

When Pixie mentioned fender I thought of Freddie Fender, the country singer. What the heck she & he would have in commen is just too hysterical to ponder WELL, she did captialize Fender

Pixie, I know there`s no dents or wrinkles in yer fender...

You know, pixlepixie, I thought of the guitar as well for a moment but didn't want to follow that comparison too far ...
Instead, I followed the car fender one and, yes, that's what they're there for. Be glad you've got one and that it works.

I was close to guitar with the musician

Pixie, did it work? LOL only if a perfect visual of you in a dank smokey bar, slumped over a table, cigarette and budweiser in hand. Crying in your beer and lamenting along with F.F. Wasted days and wasted nights,
I have left for you Behind
for you don't belong to me,
your heart belongs to someone else.

Oh ya, it worked

Lanny,

Yes, I was thinking of that family reference that you used in your post the other night too.

We really do seem like a family here sometimes, albeit a fairly dysfunctional one at times though, lol.

It sort of reminds me of the feeling I got from watching The Apprentice during that finale.

It was like, they had fought and knocked each other down over and over during their run together, but then....

after all, in the end, they really came to seem as if they were quite close during that final show anyway.

That's what this place sort of reminds me of most days lately, lol.

Love And Peace!

Lol, Gloria,

You got something against real tv, I see? Lol

Ok, sorry about that comparison then.

In that case, we will just lay claim right now to our very own brand of particular dysfunction to be known as LindaLand's own personal dysfunction from now on, and not compare that said dysfunction to any similiar kind of it that any other group entity, whether that group be real or otherwise, may lay claim to at anytime now or in the future, lol.

In other words, I am really only trying to say that LL's dysfunction shall ROCK like no one else's group's dysfunction shall ROCK, you know. Lol

Families are wonderful, especially when those so related can be good friends as well ... and the same could be applied in the reverse which I certainly think is appropriate here.

I'm not quite sure what you meant, astro junkie, or even if you were responding to me, but I do think the Linda vibe continues to be strong here regardless of the fights. Most of us here really care for each other and want to understand each other's viewpoints even if we don't agree ... at least, that's how I see it. Lessons are to be learned for sure, but grudges and/or wounded egos are to be left behind. Well, that's just my opinion, but I am being honest.

Actually the "Big Fight" in Global unity(!!) was getting quite amusing. Since they are not allowed to **** naturally they are bound to fight.
