Hi everyone

I have been lucky enough to have had some great relationships with Gemini people, about 3 have been very significant. There is one thing that I have noticed with most of these friends and its markedly so in at least 2 of them and that is that they worry about their health far too much. I would even go as far saying that they suffer hypochondria and that they can get obsessive and neurotic about food and hygiene.

This is a trait I have noticed myself and yet Ive not read anything about this being a typical trait of your average Gemini. I thought it suited Virgos more.

Have any of you noticed similar? Id be really interestd to hear your thoughts on this.

Well an intense Mercury can weaken you by overdoing the nervous system. Without serenity we become obsessive.

I have Mercury in Gemini/7th house and Sun in the 6th as well as Virgo on the midheaven.
I worry a lot about my partners health and I tend to get sick easily. Plus the sun in the 6th is not optimum for health at birth.

I have been known to be very worried about others, in terms of my career, I have to mingle a lot. So I have to watch the sodium, fat and alcohol more than others and my relationships usually break up because of some health issue.

Interesting that you mention this!

I'm an 8th house gemini sun/conj. Mercury. I'm totally neurotic about my food, and I suffered from bulimia for about 12 years, and been in recovery for about 4 years. While I'm generally healthy, I get lots of "little things", especially colds (not often the flu though). I'm also periodically troubled by my gallbladder, which in turn makes me freak out and try liver cleanses, gallbladder cleanses, I try to selfmedicate with food (just read "Sugar and Bulimia"--fascinating book about serotonin and how too little can cause you to be bulimic or rather to not be able to break out of the devils circle). I also spend lots of time on the internet looking up stuff about health lol.. I always attributed my "uncorfortable-ness" to my taurus moon (taurus can't stand uncomfort and, I've read, feel physical pain more than most)

Although I'm a rather chaotic and "untidy" (i.e. I have a pair of shoes lying in every room, the 13 books I'm reading are spread all over the house) person, I CAN NOT stand for my kitchen to be dirty, especially the sink needs to SPARKLE. I scrub my fridge out each time I go grocery shopping, meaning before I put anything in the fridge I take out EVERYTHING and scrub each crevice (about 2x a week).

I fanatically avoid sugar and carbs, I'm convinced they are the devil lol And I'm not afraid to tell everyone that they are the devil!

In writing this, I see a theme, "relating" or "learning up on"...maybe due to the merc/sun conj?

Nackie,

I do hope you have made a good recovery or at least can control your urges now.

Thank you both for your comments, i find this very interesting. I definiately feel that there is a theme running through you Geminis or heavy Gemini placements.

I know Taurus moons and it's true they like comfort. I too have a problem with living, being around anything that makes me uncomfortable or bugs me. My sister has a Taurus moon and goes through periods of self punishment and denial-hanging on to things that are really old and useless. I throw them away and she feels better. She can't seem to throw anything away her self and makes do with old bedding and furniture even though she can't stand it.

I think it's a form of denial or self sacrifice. I can be very sacrificial when it comes to comforts but eventually I break down and then I find half the problem is holding onto hold habits, not things.

I constantly try to change my daily routine. This must be the cancer moon and gemini mercury.

Holding onto things that you don't like anymore psychologically always makes you feel more dead than alive.
