Chiron, like the other planets kept moving (transiting) after your birth through your natal chart. As such it forms aspects with your natal planets and speical points (Ascendant, IC. & MC for example). I don't necessarily hold to the Magi's point of view to your natal Jupiter or Venus.
I believe that Chiron’s transits provide us with opportunities to heal old wounds aquited as a child, if we have not done so at the time of the experience, by removing the scab and allowing the wound to re-heal completely.
Through transits too and from Chiron, we re-encounter these past experiences that caused the original wounds. Some of these wounds were inflicted by others when we were too young to protect ourselves, others when we were older but still unable to protect ourselves from our environment.
Each time Chiron causes us to revisit the area of our greatest pain, we are given another opportunity to address it as a mature adult, and let it go. It seems that we will re-experience the pain until we see the need to be free from it.
Chiron’s affect involves a two step process; in the first step, the scab is torn off of the wound, revealing the infection below, and in the second step, healing is available if we are willing to deal honestly with the source of our pain.
Of course, these are only my thoughts, not necessarily truth.
