Well...

Here we go again. And my post-traumatic stress has already started to kick in. I started taking addition medication the other day, one doesn't have to be taken every day, just if I need them. I'm trying really hard NOT to take them, because I'm inherently NOT a pill and drug person. It all started on Sept 11th.

It's difficult to know me through this cold computer, but the reason I brought this up was as a call to our astrological guides, in mythical proportions. So that we're all strong. I'll talk about mine, but talk about yours - how you say - yes?

Dear Astro,
I am not an astrological guide, but I do consider myself a friend. This is only a suggestion, but if you are fearful of another Sept. 11th, try to get rid of the fear by meditating, praying, "Ask and thy shall recieve". A friend of mine has post tramatic stress syndrom from his tour of duty in Vietnam, and he came across this web site a couple of months ago. http://www.NeilSlade.com
He ordered the book, read it, and sent it to me. I am already finding it quite helpful. We all need to find forgiveness for the awful events that took place on Sept.11th. Dig deep down inside, and find that forgiveness. Fill that heart of yours with LOVE! My 18 year old boy went to Texas the other day to cut wheat and won't be back for three months, I am not really fearful for him, because he is his own individual, but I am praying for him. I am still trying to keep a mental immage of the whole planet shaking hands, but I feel like what ever is fixing to happen in the next couple of months is absolutly out of our hands. Take care and stay cool!
Peace & Love,
Kim

I sorry to hear that you are having a bad time. That is the problem of fear it can be all consuming. I will add you to my prayers. Some seem to be being answered as of late...

I don't understand your question though. Are you asking us to share our difficult times too?

Love,
Amber

I take Klonopin as needed. Started out with Xanax, but that stuff makes me too loopy. I have to take care of my kids, and on Xanax all I wanna do is lie down and rest.

I'm not a pill person either. I like that I can take Klonopin as needed. I have PTSD. Just started taking Lexapro about a week ago and will have my very first session of EMDR therapy next week (given I get off of my procrastinating a$$ and make the appointment!).

I hope this is what you're looking for.

Bright Blessings

Been there, done that and for me it was a disaster. But what do you do? you listen to your Dr. and hope it works. Medication does impair you, even if you don't feel it. Our metabilisms are all different. The state of the world is diffucult to grasp right now and downright terrifing, but know your limits. If it bothers you avoid it, don't listen to the news. What worked for me believe it or not was therapy. Just being able to discuss my fears. Sometimes just being able to verbalise your thoughts is enough, your then able to work through them. Good luck A.J

To make a long story short, I did not want to take a pill, ever, and besides 5 ludes back in 1981, I had never taken a head pill. There were a lot of different reasons!! One part is being judgemental about yourself, and then what's going to happen to you, are you a different person. Oooooh... she's craaaaaaazy...

And those are all the things you've said about other people!!

Well, I'm not crazy, I've made sure by asking several friends/experts. It takes courage to go up to someone who would know, "I'm I crazy? - go ahead, I can take it..."

Anyways, the original reason I started this thread was much different than this, but now I see it's found a new reason.

I will start a fork in the road. Come on back now, ya here?

Hey LaLa -

When I was growing up, my friends made fun of me because I would eat healthy food. And all I'm saying is, I stopped drinking sodas and eating junk food. Gave me grief because I was drinking apple juice.

Sometimes there is the rare human being like me, who decides to take a different path than the ones which have already been carved out. I've talked lately about hypnotherapy.

As for what I do take, whatever someone who won't do much more than herb. I insist on very low dosages. But at the same time, I'll need to feel I can be effective when the time comes, and it will.

Gloria what's going on with your transits right now? Have you tried calcium in large doses to relax? It sounds hokey but it works for me,

Are you nervous and tense or more frightened of something specific?

It's literally like there's an electrical probe in my fight/flight brain. It's something which may ultimately save my life, or of someone else. I'm a natural survivor.

You don't have that split second to feel fear, you're body is biologically in ready mode.

I'd gone so many years in survival mode, under extreme circumstances, that it's like the serotonin runs out, kind of thing. Cuz you've been pumped up for so long.

As for my transits today:

I've got Uranus over my Chiron
Chiron over my Jupiter & Saturn
Mercury & the NN is in my 12th, so I guess I feel like talking about it.
Sun & Venus is in my 1st right now.

First house is about survival, and fighting, your Sun and Venus in the 1st will make you more paranoid than usual about survival issues, me first and that's the lesson now. Uranus gives you that electric shock feeling. Concetrate on yourself right now, healing is the last thing you feel like doing but you need to slow down a bit.

Get a personal service, such as a massage or a haircut, by someone new, don't chat too much. Just enjoy the feeling of being comfortable in your skin. Avoid coffee, alcohol, and sugar.
