Good link, Pixie ;-)

Purplezen, do you know your opposite sign? Do you know what all th zodiac opposites are? Because you need to know that in order to know the inconjuncts. In fact, I think the first thing everyone should learn about astrology is the order of the signs on the zodiak wheel, and the basic affinities between the sign energies.
Inconjuncts are notoriously awkward, yet very very commom in synastry. Same with inconjuncts. What's with that?
Anyway, Some astrologers say that you always have at least one major point in common with your inconjuncts. I'm quoting someone else's examples here.. "Leo to Pisces - Both are great cheerleaders to others" and "Leo to Capricorn - Ambition understands ambition".

Ok, my own examples...
Aries to Scorpio: Well, this one is obvious. The "warrier instinct". In fact, both Aries and Scorpio were ruled by Mars until Pluto was discovered in..what was it, 1935? Then it was assigned to Scorpio. But everybody probably knows that. Yeah, both ARies and Scorpio are never the type to back down from a confrontation.

Aries to Virgo:
Both signs are prone to carping about their own ailments, and just being very " How does this relate to ME?". Although one needs adventure, while the other needs predictibility, which is almost a perfect opposition in philosophies. So that's kind of a source of appeal between the two signs. I don't think this is an altogether unusual sign pairing, actually...Virgo and Aries, that is.

Yes, I know a few Aries woman, male Virgo couples. Both Aries and Virgo are giving to their friends and both want stability.

ok, so by any chance are "inconjuncts" the little (') mark attached to aspects????

For example, on Astro. com, you can pull up a synastry chart/table wherein it shows all the aspects for the couple, often times the aspects will have a (') attached, what the heck does that mean??????? For instance a regular sextile will look similar to this (*'), opposed to simply (*), does it lessen the potency of the sextile, or make it opposite, or, or, or......so confused.

And Purplezen, I believe Virgo the opposite of Pisces.

Yes, Virgo is the opposite of Pisces. Your opposite is always in a sextiled (two signs away from)element ..The ones that are 'supposed to' get along.(Earth/Water, Fire/Air)
Study the zodiac like a pie ( like a chart) and see which opposes which. And your opposite is always the same quality as you..
ie; Virgo/Pisces-Mutable.
Cancer/Capricorn-Cardinal.
Taurus/Scorpio-Fixed.

Yes, Purplezen, your opposite sign would be Pisces, and since your inconjuncts are on eithor side of your opposite sign, we need to know what signs are adjacent to Pisces? Well, on one side we have Aquarius, and on the other side we have Aries. Ok, so that's easy to remember - Virgo's inconjunct signs both start with the letter A (which is simular to an upside V. hmmm...interesting....Digressing. Sorry.)
So what does Aquarius have in common with Virgo? Ooo oooh I know! Both tend to be somewhat eccentric or ideosyncratic. But for very differnt reason's though. Virgo is just consciencious in the extreme at times, to the point of being neurotic, while Aquarius just likes to be odd on purpose sometimes, to the point of seeming neurotic.

An inconjunct is an aspect of 150 degrees. Because its a minor aspect you use an orb of 2 degrees applying and seperating. It is halfway between a trine and an opposition. Its energys are both positive and negative. Out with the old and in with the new describes an inconjunct.(improvements)
Also related are situations that are beyond your control. You learn to make the best of it.

I tried to think what Cap has in common with Leo & Gemini.

With Leo. Both have grace under pressure and can organize anyone to do anything. Motives are different of course, but can function together.

Cap Geminin??? Any takers? And what about Libra and Taurus?
