What is the ruler of environmental pollution do you think? What does it mean that Neptune is in Aquarius right now? Are we heading into a new era of sensitivity towards environmental pollution or are we getting hardened to it?

I wonder how much longer we will be able to eat the fish in the oceans and rivers?
I am looking at esoteric astrology this week to get some answers. Right now with Bush and the election I am worried that we are heading into a new era of war and environmental destruction.

Everything is becoming undone in Canada as well, and I have been seriously considering moving again to avoid pollution.

Is this a Virgo issue?

Thank you,

I'm not sure to an answer on that. But Neptune in Aquarius is in mutual reception to Uranus in Picses. (in each others signs)

just FYI

I'd say this is DEFINATELY a Virgo issue, as you will notice if you read anything about my generation of Virgo's in Pluto. But it takes ALL of us to take the higher ground here.

Here's one basic look of Neptune in Aqua -

"Neptune in Aquarius

This position will draw out the humanitarian and sympathetic side of the nature and it will ignite a deep interest in the humanitarian causes, such as, social improvement, artistic and musical affairs. Platonic friendships will be formed and problems can arise through the deceptive influence of friends.

The artistic and intellectual qualities, if developed, can be productive of very helpful and beneficial results. If the native can realize these talents he can maximize the circumstances surrounding him."

SOMETHING ELSE -

"Neptune has been transiting Aquarius since January 1998 so yet again it is the Aquarians, Leos, Scorpios and Taureans who have thus far been to hell and back - or the stars and back. By February 2012 Neptune will have provided every member of these same signs with a unique experience of heaven or hell!"

"Neptune in Aquarius

Neptune, the planet of spiritual and political aspirations, has been in Aquarius since 1998 and will remain in the sign of the New Age through January 2012. Are we in the Age of Aquarius?

Although many astrologers cite a specific year when this presumably happy age will begin, no one knows for sure since the constellations are groups of stars and have no delineated interface. The precession of the equinoxes slips backwards through the zodiac and is currently in the area between Pisces and Aquarius.

Neptune's entrance into Aquarius corresponded to the awakening of the Internet as the premier communications technology of our era. Aquarius is the sign of networking, alliances, and democratic processes. The lead-in to the war in Iraq brought an unprecedented global protest, a historic response that was facilitated by the Internet. The international symbol for web addresses begins with www, and looks suspiciously like the glyph for Aquarius.

Neptune is associated with martyrdom, and in the cause-oriented sign of Aquarius, this placement inspires the suicide bomber. This relatively new phenomena is mostly connected to the political situation in the Middle East, especially in Palestine and wherever an oppressed people feel their only expression for their beliefs is through this dramatic self-sacrifice.

In Iraq's horoscope (see last week for details), Mars and Neptune are conjunct in Leo, and currently being activated by transiting Neptune's opposition. This astro-event points to several potential scenarios correlating Mars and Neptune, including the possibility of chemical attack, the camouflaging of military personnel as civilians, and suicide bombings. These situations will likely become more prevalent over the next few months as transiting Jupiter and Neptune move into opposition on June 3."

I just noticed that in my Natal, my 11th House is ruled by Neptune.

Wonder if this has been a help or hindrance when considering Neptune is in Aquarius right now.

Gloria, it must be a help because my Neptune is in the 12th and it's not helping me at all. The 11th has a clearer vision than the 12th.

"Platonic friendships will be formed and problems can arise through the deceptive influence of friends"
This has been true for me.
I must be working through that issue right now.

I hope Neptune in Aqua is the time to get things right. Chemical warfare is possible because even though Aquarius is humanistic it's also ego driven.
