Supposedly this thing called a "YOD" is going on. It's formed by Saturn and Jupiter and it's pointing right at Cancer. Everybody seems torn as to whether or not it's a good thing or a bad thing, but they all agree it's a powerful thing. Thoughts? IP: Logged |

Yods are when one planet forms two inconjunct aspects with two planets about 60 degrees apart from each other (sextile). So, for instance, if your natal mars was in 8 degrees Gemini, and your natal Jupiter was in 6 degrees Scorpio (an inconjunct aspect), then transiting Saturn moves into early Capricorn, forming another inconjunct aspect with your natal Mars, you have yourself a YOD, formed by transit, with your natal Mars at the apex. Yods can only be formed with the planets, not the angles (asc/desc, mc/ic)nor with the moon or asteroids. To be considered a true yod, the fastest moving planet should be at the apex. These types of aspects, when formed with natal & transiting planets together, are most often associated with health issues and/or medical crisis. But, as anything else, one aspect does not equal manifestation. Typically, there has to be at least 3 indicators in a chart that something will manifest, not just one. But, I'm not sure how YODS fit into that rule of thumb. IP: Logged | |
