Topic: Signs and their degrees on the zodiac wheel

Hi, All..Wondering if any of you know exactly what degrees on the zodiac wheel each sign occupies. I'm trying to map it out and make a little referrence chart for myself, so I can use it to figure out 'Parts of Fortune' and 'Parts of Marriage' and midpoints and whatnot. ..Anyhoo, here's how I've got it laid out Aries 1-30
Taurus 31-60
Gemini 61-90
Cancer 91-120
Leo 121-150
Virgo 151-180
Libra 181-210
Scorpio 211-240
Sagittarius 241-270
Capricorn 271-300
Aquarius 301-330
Pisces 331-360, (with Pisces occupying the last degree of the circle, thus completing it) But I'm wondering about, well actually, a couple of things. Maybe it should it go Aries: 0-29, Taurus: 30-59 etc? That would put the beginning of Aries at the 360th degree. Is that the same?? What occupies the 360th degree? The 0 degree is in the same spot. Aaaaahhhhhkkkkk....I'm over-analyzing it, and now I have no idea if I've done it right. curses under breath at natal Aqua moon Can anybody help?  IP: Logged |

it took me awhile to get that one too
0 degrees to 29 degrees 59 min (and 59 seconds) is Aries
30 degrees - 59 degrees 59 min " (Taures) etc.

Greetings...Mighty A... Actually, people have been using it divided up like that for a long time. It makes it a wee bit easier to calculate things like the Part of Fortune, Midpoints (if you use them), Arabic Parts.. also helps with calculating the Sun/Moon angle for Astrological Birth Control. And I say: 0-29 Aries
30 - 59 Taurus
60- 89 Cancer And so forth. I agree with LaLaLinda... 29degrees59mins = Aries. You've got the right idea though, LionEye. BB...

Thanks for all the replies, guys.Aries: 0 - 29.59...really? But that's not a full 30 degrees. Shouldn't it be Aries 360:59 to 29:59? That's getting too complicated for me. Does is make a big difference if I just go with
Aries 0 to 29 ? It still included 30 full degrees. But, that does make sense. I just don't care for the extended math all that much. But I want to know it well, so I can figure it out without a computer. Also, how would one find a mid-point manually? I've worked out two possibilities 1. Add the two placements together, then divide by two 2. Subtract the smaller from the larger (to get the difference between the two), then divide that by two, and add that number to the farther back planet, and subtract it from the further ahead planet (the answer should be the same for both) IP: Logged |

Anybody? Nobody?I decided that it only makes sense for Pisces to occupy the last degree of the zodiac circle, the end, 360 degrees. So, therefore, Aries is right where it should be...at 1. First place. Just like an Aries "ME FIRST!" lol... IP: Logged |

I know its confusing
if you count from 0 then it equals out to 30 degrees. Don't forget 0 degrees is criticle in the cardnal signs.IP: Logged |

actually lalalinda is wrong. its 0-30.00degrees for aries then 30+.01,.02... to 60 for taurus. that makes exact degrees. imagine degrees, minutes and seconds to be year,months and days respectively. IP: Logged |

the 360th degree belongs to pisces. the 360th degree 0 miute asnd 1st second starts aries.IP: Logged |
