Well Vin and I would like to conceive again at some point (after a miscarriage in May). But I got to thinking about what the sign of the child I would have would probably be under the circumstances of a normal pregnancy.

So I started thinking "Hrmmm well an Aries child might not be the best fit for an Aries mom because we might fight more than another sign" and "Hrmmm well there are so many Cancers in the family right now maybe that wouldn't be the greatest idea."

Am I being silly or has anyone else thought about things like this?

And if not too silly -- what signs would be most compatable with an Aries mom ?

No, not silly at all

You might do well with an Aquarius kid...sextiles your sun, and doesn't particularly offend Cancer. What I mean by that, is just that it's not a square or opposition. Plus, Aquarians get along with EVERYBODY...they're often the party planners and friendly embassadors of the family.

That, or even a Leo...might be ok...although, Leo and Aries can fight like nobody's business too sometimes.

Having said all this, I think you can mull over what would be the best sign to have for a baby all you want, and in the end, the Universe will still only send you YOUR baby, whatever sign she/he is. (why did I say she first? Hmm.). I'd say, leave it up to the Universal family planners - they usually do a bang-up job without our help!

Virgo kids are great...very well behaved and helpful (although very picky about food, clothes, other kid's behavior, etc)

Yeah see I figured what IS meant to be definately WILL be in the end. I mean I could plan all I want for a Leo child and maybe the little booger will come 3 weeks early and change everything!

But heck - couldn't hurt to try anyway, I guess!

I am particularly fond of Geminis but I don't know how that would work in a parent/child relationship. Usually I get along with Leos, too! My son is a Picses with Aries rising and that seems to work.

As for the 'she' thing - I do hope for a girl because I already have a boy. lol maybe that's why I dyed my hair pink last week! It's a subconscious thing!

Amber,

I was going to write down Gemini for you, but you beat me to it.

Two for the price of one

Best wishes on conceiving again.

Oooohh. I like this talk!
I was thinking of you last night, BRM..... I was thinking I wanted to tell you how cool it is that you are a whimsical fun loving mom. You will encourage your kids to be independent thinkers and not be jaded into normalcy ( but I'll bet they will rebel by being as normal as possible, hahaha) You are smart, beautiful and fun. With major spiritual strength.

My husband and I tried for months to get pregnant. ( It was fun to try) But, though I had been pregnant before ( very quickly) so I knew I was fertile, and my husband was a healthy young man, it took us many moons and cycles to 'get one past the goalie'. I also had a miscarriage before we got it 'stuck'. But my daughter came just as the Universe planned, and it was synchronistic. My original wedding date was Oct. 16 1999, but we changed it to the summer, things just worked out that way... and my daughter was due on Oct. 16 of 2000. She came right on her due date. That Libra didn't hav to make up her mind much about being born on time.......
Best of luck to you, plan all you want, maybe the Universe has THAT planned for you!

Thank you, Aphrodite!! hehee two for the price of one!! Sometimes I think I should have been a Gemini

pixelpixie! lol Vin and I have joked that any children we have will have to rebel by becoming lawyers and listening to Barbara Streisand or N'Sync. I'm not sure if it's really in Hunter to ever be normal, though. He's just such a different kid. But I could be eating my words in 10 years when he's 15! OH! and he was born right on his due date, too! I think it's so romantic that your daughter came on your original wedding date. Very very sweet!

And thank you for the nice words. I do appreciate them!! **HUGS!** you rock!

Hi BRM

First, I'm so sorry about your miscarriage; I didn't know.

As for your thinking about what sign you'd like your next child to be, I don't think it's silly at all. I did, and it worked.

I wanted a Gemini and/or Pisces child(ren), feeling I'd be able to connect well with either because they are my Sun and Rising signs. Yes, I understood that an early or late arrival could alter this...and believe me, after two years of infertility and operations, ultimately I knew we'd be blessed nomatter what sign or sex. Still, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and plan.

Anyway...my first daughter is Gemini, born the day after my birthday. Her Moon is Pisces, and her Ascendant is Scorpio (which is my Moonsign). My second daughter is Pisces, Moon in Taurus and Sagittarius Rising. The sign of Pisces ties the three of us together, even degree-wise (one Sun, one Moon, one Rising).

I have many, many connections with them both in our charts...close conjunctions and a few oppositions; also karmic ties involving Saturn, Pluto, the Nodes (N & S...all three of us, again). I've never for a second doubted that they were meant to be born when and to whom they were.

As for which sign would be most compatible with your Aries Sun, you might also consider your Moon and/or Rising signs. You already have that Sun/Ascendant tie with your son.

Whether we choose our children or they choose us...I believe it happens as it is meant to, and I wish you many blessings! Take care.

Pixy- Just wait until she goes to school and tells the teacher "I was born the day my parents got married." LMAO!

Alexander The Greats mother was in labor when the astrologer charged in and told her if she could hold on a few more hours the child would have a powerful chart. She did.

I'm not sure what the royal astrologer was looking at, but I suppose you could find Alexanders chart and see for yourself.

Heh heh. Thought you'd get me with that one did you? I know full well no matter what I listed off as a "powerful position" you would sit and debate me. I've had experience with Libras before and know how to neatly side-step entrapment into an argument.

Love the child for who they are!!!
I read about a woman who planned her baby's birthdate/time right down to the MINUTE, even to the point of being induced at the appropriate time. Turned out it was the wrong time anyway, as she hadn't allowed for daylight saving time.
I was meant to have been born on May 2nd, but was born two weeks early!!! Possibly if my mother's pregnancy had run its full term, I would have got on better with my parents - they've both got 4 planets in Taurus. Instead, they got an Aries with tons of Pisces and Gemini influence, which was somewhat alien to them. But...we generally get what the universe gives us. We can't fight it.
The Sun being in your 4th house, you probably have a good chance of conceiving - go for it!
