The brightest star in our night sky in our Galaxy (The Milky Way) is also one of the nearest? It is called Sirius, in the constellation Canis Major and is 8.6 light years away from Earth? DID YOU KNOW THIS? That the Andromeda Galaxy is the nearest Galaxy to our own Milky Way? AND, it can be seen by the naked eye. Alpha Centauri is a cluster of three stars only 4.3 light years away from the earth. It has two sun-like stars and a dim red dwarf.
