Composite is a way of combining the charts of two people.. using the midpoints between their different natal data, to create a third chart, which is a map of the relationship.. A chart, not of the two people, but of a different entity entirely.. the feeling of the relationship.

Synastry, is taking the individual natal charts, and doing an overlay... seeing the aspects they make to each other, and determinig how many positive and/or negative aspects they have between their placements... and where the houses and planets and signs fall between charts.. for instance, Sun in someone's first house indicates 'knowing them'.. looking out for them.. being attracted to.. etc....
