I've a Leo Mars in the 10th (made that much more interesting by its being at 29d, retro, and conjunct my NN), and I've found that once I start working out I get quite moody if I don't do so every day.
My body supplies the energy and gets fussy if it's not vigorously used up in a timely manner.

I also tend to quickly get mannish (broad shoulders & built arms coming through) if I don't watch it when I exercise, but that may be my Scorp Asc talking.

Have any of ya'll noticed the same?

Hi prox,

I'm a fellow Mars in Leo. Mines in the 7th - 15' Leo direct - just had my Mars return.

I also must work out to burn my energy or it starts to channel itself in bad ways. But I havent been excersising like I should lately (OK at all). I get on these kicks where I'll work out like a mad woman and then stop and barely do anything at all. It's not good.

I my body doesnt get manish though. More muscular and curvy - in a real feminine way.

My mom recently informed me I was gaining weight (thanks mom ). She said "When you are in shape you are like Whoa!"
Gotta get my body back into its "Whoa" shape. Hey! I'm a Taurus it's hard!!

Cool

I suspected that that was the culprit in my chart, and I'm glad that you've helped to confirm it.

"Mannish" might not be quite right, though (I'm a Pisces...we're always kinda curvy, I guess) - when I work out, I look like all woman...except with really developed shoulders, upper arms, and chest.
Granted, the last time I excercised enough to get that way was while in the Army, so it might not be quite so bad this time.

re: the energy channeling itself in bad ways: For me, it kinda feels like a high-voltage electric current's running through my body. Little things can easily set me off or annoy me, I'm generally more terse, and I can't quite completely focus my concentration on anything.

Prox -

Gotta butt in ... have you been feeling difficulty concentrating, getting easily annoyed, and all that good stuff for a long time?

As for the workout, are you doing heavy or light weights? Or isometrics? How do you exercise the upper body?

Grrr....I wrote out a response, but apparently put in the wrong password and had it erased...grrr.

aj - Nope, those effects really only occur once I've started working-out and then slack off - even if I only skip a day or get to it in the evening. Yesterday, for instance, was supposed to be an "off day", but by the time 4 PM rolled around I was completely on edge. Jase kept asking, "Is everything OK? Did I do something?"
"Yeah, everything's fine. I just...I...here: Can you watch Meg for a little bit? I need to go for a bike ride."
I did so for about 30 minutes in the sultry heat of the Alabama early evening, came back dripping wet and breathing heavy, and felt like a whole new (wholly relaxed) person.
I've only recently begun again (starting to get back into shape after the pregnancy, over the course of which I did diddly-squat beyond walking because of a threatened miscarriage early on).

So far I've only been doing cardio work - jogging/running with a jog stroller and biking when Jase's been out of class to watch the kiddo; though that gets some training done on my upper body through pushing Meg (my neck, shoulders, and upper arms have been sore - good sore, muscle sore - afterwards a couple of times).
When I have done strength training, it's been primarily isometric (b/c I'm cheap ), and'll probably be so again once I start-up.
