Do you mean the ruling planet.. as in the thread that is a few below this one? Why do you have to start a whole new thread for it?
If your rising sign is Virgo, then your Rising Planet would be the planet that rules Virgo, would it not? Mercury.
What significance does it have for you?

A rising planet is usually the first planet below the ascendant--even if it is not in the first house. Any planet in the twelfth house that is conjunct the ascendant by five degrees or less is also a rising planet.
