Man, I am so bored, I'm pratically going out of my mind. I rarely get this bored - we Gems are quite good at entertaining ourselves - but sometimes I just get this gnawing boredom with everything. It doesn't help that my car's been in the shop since early Friday and I had to cancel my Friday evening plans due to lack of transportation.

I don't think today's Scorp moon with all these Virgo transits (hey everyone, even the Sun's going to be in Virgo now!! ) are agreeing with me. Either that or it's PMS. Maybe it's both - a double whammy effect or something. I want something exciting or interesting to happen, yet nothing. Blah, blah, blah.

I hope my car's ready tomorrow. I already cleaned the house earlier this week, and so I just wallowed in disinterested self-indulgence today, hoping the car shop would call and tell me my car was ready, when I really wanted to go out of the house and do something. If I have to spend another day sitting around the house while feeling this bored, I'm going to dye my hair green. I swear.

gloria...I'm not sure. I don't know what an OBE is.

My car may not be ready til this evening. I went out and exercised for two hours and then did 20 minutes of stretching. Maybe this will take the edge of my get-up-and-go vibe I'm feeling right now. I usually spend Sunday practicing guitar anyhow.

Hmm, I guess I missed the joke. Whatever...

Thanks HSC - I'm feeling better now. At least I got my car back and it's running fine. I can now go to the store and fetch my cat her favorite treats - she's been jonesing for them all day.

Gemini, I wasnt laughing at you. I was laughing at the visual I got off of what gloria said. Obviously she was bored too, and was jokingly saying maybe the both of you could meet up on some astral plane through an Out of Body Experience, since you were bored - why not? LOL I found the thought of that funny.

No prob 26 - I didn't think you were laughing at me. I just thought that maybe AJ had made a joke and I missed it. That's all.

BTW LibraSparkle, I did buy hair dye today, but I hate to disappoint you - I didn't buy green. I decided just to go with the usual expresso dark brown, which is my natural hair color, minus all the premature grey that makes me looks washed out and old (I thought Gems were suppose look younger than their age?!?). I like to keep my hair dark, because 1) it matches my eyebrows and lasjes, and 2) it makes my grey-blue eyes stand out more. Can't say that about green,

However, I did dye my hair purple once - that did bring out my eyes a bit.

Er. Floursecents just aren't me. Too artificial. I'm a pretty typical Gemini in this way - I like intense "living" colors, but I hate washed out hues like pastels and floursecents.

Red? My best pal - a Cancer on Gem cusp - has natural red hair. She has the classic Cancerian look: grey eyes, ultra fair skin (think china white, and you'd be close), and a redhead. Since I know a *real* redhead, I know I couldn't pull it off. I'm a brunette, totally.

Plus bright red with my fine, wavy hair would probably fry it beyond repair and I'd end up looking like Bozo the Clown...and I hate clowns. Natural reds just don't work well with my skin - it's very pale, with undertones between blue and olive. I have a hard time finding base makeup that looks right on me (and forgot lipstick!), let alone hair color - thankfully I don't like wearing makeup, and can get by with just powder and a dab of mascara because I have a lot of natural color in my face.

Women who wear make-up all the time...I just don't know how they do it.

Actually one of my favourite Geminis of all time (well female anyway) wears make-up all the time, and has done so for 30 years (she's a very famous actress) and she says there's nothing that protects the skin better, and that wearing makeup will prevent wrinkles, she's old now and looks great, almost no wrinkles!! it's incredible,

Most makeup ( foundation) has spf in it, which is the number one preventative action you can take toward 'wrinkle' development.
Have you thought of the new L'Oreal True Match? Alot of companys have new light refracting pigments and colours that match your skin tone well.... it is light in texture as well. They have Cool, Neutral and Warm to choose from. Makes it easy. Also good price point.... I am not sure about the SPF though.......

LOL, HSC. Granted I didn't drink expresso, or any coffee because my stomach's too sensitive and my nerves can't handle it. But it's the prefect hair color for me.

Pix yeah I agree - sunblock is really the key, aside from the right diet. I don't think it's wearing make-up, really - my best pal's 50 and she looks great for her age. But she hardly wears make-up...she also avoids sun exposure like the plague, least it brown her "magnolia white" skin. LOL. I live in Texas, and sun block makes such a big difference. I try to wear it all the time. I use a lot of moisturizers and sunblock (I swear by Oil of Olay's Total Effects line and Neutrogena's Visibly Firm mositurizers and UltraSheer 45 SPF sunblock - and when I exercize outside, I wear 50 SPF sweatproof sunblock), because I have premature winkles from going through some many bad bouts of depression (it's no beauty regime, lemme tell ya), but overall my skin's pretty good for my age. People do think I'm younger than I am, despite having premature lines. I don't have great bone structure in my face, so I going to have to accept that I will wrinkle regardless.

Also in addition to the right moisturizers and sunblock (and the occasional facial ), I've found that taking an essential fatty acid complex, vitamin E and grape seed extract daily plus exercising and a high protein/low carb diet does wonders. For me least. My mild acne cleared up and went away and my skin overall looks so much healthier within two weeks of starting my low carb diet - probably mostly from eliminating all those awful hydrogenated oils and refined sugars (corn syrup - evil!) that are used in processed foods, especially baked goods.

I like L'Oreal - I use their powder foundations. I don't really like base makeup because it takes away my natural color (I have naturally rosy cheeks), and I would only use it is special occasions, like getting my driver's liscence photo. Otherwise, I think it makes me look like a mannequin.

For skin, lots of fatty acids, and adequate amounts of oils in the diet contribute to healthy skin. Really skinny women have drier skin. Lots of water too. Aloe Vera is the number one best thing for the skin I have found as it adds moisture. Most people already have oil on top of the skin, but lack water, and aloe adds water.

Aloe is great to cool your skin off and keep the capillaries from breaking, which contribute to redness. Of course the sun is the number one damager, especially of the neck and chest where the skin is thinnest.

Always wear a scarf, hat and glasses, or at least a high necked sleveless shirt and you will see a difference.

Luckily I have a fat face, Cancer Moon/8th house, and so it's okay, but my neck is a mess since I have thin skin there or at least it's more sensitive. Does this go with a large chest? Maybe my large chest makes me hotter and I do not like the sun beating down on my neck and chest, for that reason I wear a sports bra that breathes, and a large hat or high necked top.

I have lived in the tropics and freezing cold, and accessories make the difference between living and surviving, genes regardless.

I have noticed menopausal women need to drink more water, eat more fatty acids, and avoid coffee, and of course take herbs or some kind of hormone replacement. Then their skin looks great, but if one of these things are lacking the skin dries out instantly and looks wrinkled.

I am blunt, no one will stay young forever, but you can look damn good for your age and that's almost better when one looks at the competition!

Smelling sweet and smiling never hurt:>

A tablespoon of olive oil every day
(cut calories first to allow for it)

4oz of grilled Salmon at least once a week. It's amazing. Think Sophia Loren...
