I figured the Gem and Pisc would score high, just on the logic of it. But for argument sake's, both me (a Gem with Pisces moon) and my mom (Gem on Tau cusp, with Gem moon) have excellent driving records. So does my best pal, a Cancer, on the Gem cusp. My mom does get extremely self-absorbed and impatient while driving - I don't know how she's avoided not causing an accident for so long. I have been in few accidents caused by someone else (a drunk driver, an idiot who was chatting on the cell phone, so she didn't see the light change, or me breaking in front of her, etc.). The most common tickets I have gotten is for expired inspection or registration stickers, because I forget or procrastinate. But driving: I drove as a courier for a year in Houston (ever been? think: one big traffic jam). Never had a wreck or a ticket, despite being under the clock to make deliveries. All that experience in bad traffic has made me a very patient and careful driver. Even my neurotic bipolar pal who gets anxious at the slightest thing likes riding with me because he feels I drive safely.

In my family, my dad, a Libra with Sag moon, is a pretty bad driver. Utterly oblivious. And my bro, a Leo with Aries moon...heh. He was stripped of his license at 22 and couldn't drive legally for ten years. Now he can drive again, but has to pay vey hig insurence rates.

I was very surprised Sags scored so well - the worst drivers (next to Pisces) I've know have been Sags.

Neat stuff Randall. Yes, I had read somewhere that Gemini's were the worst drivers. Also, interesting what they say about Taurus drivers.

I don't like to drive but I do. And I drive like a Granny. Never been in an accident though.
It's probably safe to say you havnt either, having all of that Capricorn in your chart.

....*thinking* yes, and my double Sagittarius/Leo rising brother is a crazy driver.....there's been a few accidents there.....

I wonder if my Asc being Gemini averages it out a bit for me?

My gramma's a Cappy, and her driving scares me to death. She doesn't take risks, or drive fast... but she is kinda oblivious to the other cars around her. She also follows too closely to the car in front of her. THAT really freaks me out.

I thought Scorpios would be harder to drive with but I see that doesn't translate into accidents. If a Scorpio is an accident usually the survival mechanism kicks into gear so passengers are safe-at least from other drivers.

Caps love to drive, so that's not surpising.
Taurus doesn't like to drive much, I prefer to be driven, or take cabs, subway, bus, or even walk. When I drive I dream of a motorcycle.

very funny. My first guess at the best drivers were Sags. My husband is sag and I feel very safe with him. I would have guessed pisces as the worst.

Well... I'm a Piscean with a Gemini Asc, and I've found driving to be pretty difficult and confusing, mainly because I just lose focus really quickly. Like, I had this really effed up episode when I was really hyper and behind the wheel with my granny, taking my friends home, and I was just like "Ladida, almost hit that stop sign, oh well!"

I've only got my learner's permit though, heh.

hahahaha! I guess right on the worst driver...only because I know 2 gems who drive irraticaly.... I get car sick w/one of em. I had never been car sick in my life unitl riding w/him when I was twelve.....
I was also surprised at the best ..... I am a cppy. I have been in one accidnet that was not my fault ...... vehicle malfunction (steering wheel fell off) scary, very scary. BUt I barley bumped the guy ahead of me as I was already coming to a stop.

That would be scary! I once had my handle bars on a BMX fall off while I was cycling, but that's another story. I guessed Pisces and Sag as worst, and have to admit that gem could be considered at the top. I think if you look at the stats, it'd be gem on the road most, so our stats would be higher, plus erraticism could be a factor. My gem sister's like that. My Cappie mum never had an accident, but I personally don't understand how... She's burnt heaps of clutches though I've been in a couple of accidents but think I'm a very safe driver - maybe the sag rising, but I swore sag'd be in the top 5! Didn't see Taurus either...

What's interesting is that this is completely verifiable, and insurance companies base premiums upon statistics, so one day one Sun Sign may pay a higher auto insurance rate than another (just like single versus married people).

Hello there, I think Sags are best in sales so they drive a LOT, all the ones I know do.

So that must mean better at driving due to practice.

But yes Sag does rule flying/driving, moving around in general.

it's cool, I just get suspicious any time I think I see someone getting too into cheesy marketing when - or I should say - especially when someone has a great idea like that. It's like, they could have pulled it RIGHT out of our forum.

I would have thought Aquarians would have been higher on the list. Every Aqua I've driven with (self included) doesn't seem to pay enough attention to the road. I know I get very easily distracted and can **ooh, look, a bird is flying into that tree** CRASH.

See what I mean? LOL

One of the reasons I try not to drive too often. Trust me when I say it's a bit scary......

The worst girl driver I ever dared get into a car with was a Leo. No one did right by her, and if she were in L.A. or Miami, she would have done been shot ...

The best driver guy was a Virgo ...

My Scorpio mother is a scary one, she goes through cars like no one else and currently is borrowing my car...grrrr...I am expecting a ton of brake work when she gets it back and I must demand that she pay for any repairs before she returns it. Otherwise she brakes every few minutes. I noticed she also drives to places that are five minutes away instead of walking.

What a waste, more people ought to walk.
Of course I am being my typical picky earth sun self, and she thinks I irrational. But still her last car blew up on the highway because she put in double the amount of oil by mistake and the engine couldn't handle it. Old car.

And her driving is very erratic. I won't even get in the passenger side because she talks and drives and the conversation never stops. Worries me.

Want me car back!
