OK -

1) If one person's 3rd House is ruled by the Moon, and their Moon is in the 3rd House.

2) If your 7th House is ruled by Pluto, and your friend's Pluto is in your 7th House.

3) If your 7th House is ruled by Pluto, and your friend's Pluto is in their Natal 7th House.

It seems like they are patterns which are not only interesting to ponder, but which deserve names/terms. Maybe they already do?

Thanks.

Hee hee - just the first one is a real person, the last two are just examples. So, I'd love to explore that. Or like if you have a Mars in the 6th, would you get along with a Mercury in the 1st? Is that Mutal Reception. I think I opened a can or worms.

I have an acquintance/friendship wiht a Pisces guy (the one I've spoken of here before) in which we have conjunct ASC and being only a year of so apart agewise, our outer planets are conjunct and in the same houses, including Pluto and Uranus in the first. I don't think normally these are easy aspects, since that's a lot of energy in the both our 1st house that we both have difficultly "owning." This may explain in part why we have such a hard time coming together - we're both very much Plutonian-Uranian type people. Our lives have many parallels along those lines.

I suppose in one way it's good, as these planets when placed in an angular house produces a person who's motivations are often easily misunderstood by others. There's a strong sense of "Yeah, I know where you're coming from" between us, aided by other positive aspects. On the con side, we have a mutual mirroring of the same issues which have prevented us in the past from having successful relationships: being too weird and nonconventional, needing a LOT space, putting out a lot of intense "energy" or vibes that kind of burn other people out, going through a lot of powerful and profound transformation in our lives to the point it's hard for us to relate to another person, etc. So if we were looking for someone to balance out those specific traits in ourselves, we're not likely to find it in one another.

I don't know if there a name for this. Mutual reception, however, is an term already and refers to two planets being in each's other ruling sign, such as Cancer Sun and Leo Moon. This can be significant in natal, composite or synastry charts and is often considered a strength.

I not sure if I understand that first rule. Are you saying that these person's moon's in Cancer and Cancer's in the 3rd house?

yah, you'd think that would be like "sympathetic reception" or something, huh?

I've wondered about that too, because my Saturn in Aries squares my sweetie's MARS in Cancer...and my Saturn is in Cancer's natural house, the 4th.

So, does that reduce the tension of the square somewhat? I wonder...hmm.

Maybe that's just another indicator of a karmic bond, because it makes the aspect more relevent in the relationship? Maybe.

GeminiNymph -

Those Plutonian/Uranian influences sound cool to me. I'm probably more tolerant of that mix than most people. I'd have to say I also have some of that too, with all my Scorp influences, then my MC & Desc in Aqua and Uranus aspects.

Transformations for me is like, every two weeks. I'm not shy about saying so, and one guy I was dating basically freaked out when I said that to him, worrying that I was schizo or something. That's the cool thing about my friend I'm separated from right now, because we are both intense Libra's with strong Natal "transformation" indications. And then the Synastry as well as Composite lay out with the same themes as well, so maybe that's why that relationship makes me feel so comfy.

I know what you mean about two people having too many things in common. You either become loyal lifelong friends, or repel each other. (Not sure how much the old saying applies, "You are bothered in other people by the things that bother you about yourself." - if so, it's fun cuz they run like helll from you).

Marriage with me will either be with my best friend, or an arrangement.

Anyways, no, the thing I brought up did not match the definition of "MR". And as for the first one, I'm saying, in my Natal, my "3rd House Cusp" thing is in Cancer, ruled by the Moon. My Moon is in Cancer in the 3rd House. There's two totally separate things, but they mirror each other. See? It's not that obvious at first, but then it's like ooooohhhhh!

I think it would be so cool if we took some of these interesting aspects, which do not have a name or term, and start a full on astrological discussion for each one. We can discuss any novel influences for each, and then give them names or terms. Linda Goodman would love that? What do you think? I can start a new thread like that, everyone can give imput, and in a sense, through the same astrological discussions that's taken place for centuries, we can do our own, make a stamp, and in that way continue with Linda's work.

The whole naming things reminds of a running joke in the new Stargate Atlantis show on Sci-Fi (don't know if there's any other sci-fi geeks around who are familiar with that series), where the main character have a rivalry over who gets to name the new stuff they discover.

Perhaps we can devise our own LL jargon and have our little LL astrology glossary! Heh heh...well you know us Geminis - we love words. And the more the better!

being a Gemini with a lot of Plutonian and Uranian influence is fun sometimes (people tell me all the time I've had an interesting life), but pretty awful other times. Imagine if you had a sign that combined Gemini, Scorpio and Aquarius together - that what it feels like. I think they'd have to name that sign "Psychosis" and the glyph would depict a person in a straightjacket Wouldn't that be fab? "Oh yes, I'm a Psychosis with moon in Pisces and Virgo rising..." Heh

People who go through a lot of "rebuilding and tearing down" type cycles are usualy heavily influenced by either Pluto or Scorpio or both. I suspect that your Scorpio activity has a lot to do with that, seeing you have Mars in Scorpio that part fo t-square (right? am I remebring that correctly?), giving that area of your chart a lot of energy, so it's no surprise you may see a lot of that in your life.

This used to devast me before I got into astrology and investigated Pluto's power. I used to think everytime my life seemed to collaspe into ruin, or I felt compelled to tear down things in my life that I felt were opressive, that I was either a huge failure or a hopelessly dysfunctional rebel. I've learned to look at these cycles as "discarding" the falsehoods in my life so to make room for more truth. One major problem is that I've found that I'm usually surrounded by people who aren't so happy with me discarding such falsehoods as they are either comfortable or advantageous for them (Pisces moon peeps like me have an unfortunate knack for attracting very self-serving, parasitic types ). So consequently, I've had a lot of turnover among friends and associations in my life along the way too. Not easy for a Gemini. *sigh*

"Marriage with me will either be with my best friend, or an arrangement." Seriously, I think so for me too. Or rather my soul mate, or by force. LOL

I think I finally get what you're saying about your 3rd house - in essence your moon is digified (that's the term for this) by being in its own sign, right? Dignified planets are very strong in a natal chart (I have Mercury dignified in Gemini...which is why I can write such long-winded posts LOL). And since this falls in your 3rd house it does create a focal point there in your chart. So you could say, "I have my moon dignified in the 3rd house," which would mean just that, and someone knowledgeable about astrology would understand that means it's in Cancer, it's native sign, and that this makes your 3rd house a focal point.

By the way, this is called "essential" dignity - when a planets falls in its native sign or in exaltation (in the sign that most "exalts" the planet's positive attributes other than its native sign - see here: http://www.astrologycom.com/exalt.html ). Another other term you might come accross, "accidental" dignity refers to a planet that is strengthen by beneficial house placements or aspects.

Yeah, I'm getting familiar with some of those terms and I can grasp that concept. Yeah, Mars in Scorp focal point of my entire chart. I know what you mean about the "naming" thing, those jobs with lots of politics are not for me. Some people say I would be good in politics. Probably, but only if I got to be the leader all the time (my Sun, Moon Jupiter & Saturn are all Cardinal's). The rest of the time, it's all I can do to stay out of trouble...

And I share that Gemini influence with you too, my Rising is in Taurus at 29.48 degrees, so there's some gem in my 1st. But I still don't feel like any one Rising Sign. Doing stuff like yoga and tai chi is the best.
