According to Bob Marks:"The Second House shows the state of your money and possessions, the things that you value, including your sense of self worth." What's it mean if the house is empty? Will you be a poor, self loathing waistoid? Seriously though... DOES it mean anything for the house to be empty?

An empty house means that area of your life will not have particular influence, unless a planet is transiting it.It also has importance if a planet progresses into it. IP: Logged |

Libra Sparkle -What we've normally handed off to each other here is, do this. Look at for the Ruler of your 2nd House Cusp. Wait, didn't you do this already? Or am I confusing it with another thread. Anyways... ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

uuhh... I don't think I've done this before. BUT, LOL... this IS me we're talking about So... My second house cusp is in Gemini (if I'm understanding you correctly)... So then I look to the ruler of Gemini?... which brings me back to Mercury again. IP: Logged |

Yeah, that's when you have no planets in that particular house. So if it is Gemini, then look to see what Sign and House your Mercury is in. BTW - Mine is in Gemini too. IP: Logged |

Alrighty, thanks Ok. So. I have an empty 2nd hs. What I'm struggling with is that if a house with a lot of planets, it's considered strong... so wouldn't the reverse be true? Or... am I confused about how a house is a *strong* house? Since my 6th hs is my strongest house(if True Node counts... and that makes 3) , would that make weakness in the houses that have nothing? I don't really have an strong houses. 2, 8, 9, 10, are empty. The rest are pretty spread out. Here's my stuff: Jupiter's in the 11, Chiron in the 12th, Mars in the 1st, Moon and Saturn in the 3rd, Venus in the 4th, Sun and Pluto in the 5th, Mercury, Uranus, and True Node (does that even count?) in the 6th, and Neptune in the 7th. So... what's it mean that things are spread out in such a way Vs. being clumped together? IP: Logged |

There's some stuff out there regarding Wheels with the planets all spread about, and there IS some information on that.We talk about empty Houses here sometimes, and I'm sure others will add more here. So far, I think of it as the Houses you have planets in will play a more prominent role, closer to the front row. The ones with no planets will play a lesser role, closer to the back row, but I also consider those to be areas where my life is less evolved. Try doing this and see what you find - look at the empty Houses, and ask yourself if those are areas in your life you would not consider to be major themes, or areas where you have excellence in. For me, it is true. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |
