Must be Neptune in Sag... but I'm gonna go read about it just to make sure I agree with myself.

Everyone seems to think the Neptune speaks louder here though, and that is interesting. What attributes does the Neptune influence have which would direct and synchronize such timing of life events?

The Mars in Cancer would probably be it then. Very emotional, positive, hard working, but at the same time... reputation as moody!
