Hello everyone,

I've noticed that a lot of people that hang out here (astrologers) have prominate Uranus placements either conjunct the Sun or Asc. or in a water house(4,8 and 12). Of course this alone is not enough but a good starting placement, there will also be heavy aspects (usually hard) to the Sun and Moon.

Neptune can show this also with the same examples used with Uranus (above) In my opinion Neptune deals more with the psychic ability and Pluto with dreams (NEVER underestimate the power of Pluto). I have also noticed how many people here have a 3rd house Neptune. Which makes sense, the 3rd house encompassing the way your mind works (look at Mercury also). Neptune here opens the learning and thinking house to Neptunes energys. Aside from being interesting writers they are able to see beyond whats in front of their face. What is just below the surface.

My question for everyone is where do you fit in here? For me I have an 8th house Uranus (another astrologers placement, because of the exaltation of Uranus) squaring the Moon (5) and Neptune (11) opposing the Moon. My T-square.

Hi! Good one! My natal Sun is trine Uranus within one degree. Sun in Scorp and Uranus in Cancer. My Sun is within one degree of Midheaven in the 9th. Uranus is retrograde in the 6th...it's 7 degrees from the descendant. I became interested in astrology at the age of 13 and just absorbed it. I didn't have to struggle to learn the symbols. Over the years by observing the transits to my own natal placements, I have come to an intuitive feel for the energies of the planets. That's a very wonderful placement, but I also have some tuffies to work through. (Oh, above references are by Placidus.) merciful1

Ok, along the lines LaLa brought up, I have Uranus in the 4th House (a Water House), and I've got Mars Sextile Uranus.

As for hard aspects to Sun or Moon :::

* Moon Opp Jupiter & Saturn

And as for the 3rd House, my Cancer Moon is there.

BTW - is something thinking that the 5th House would contribute to astrologer placements or intuitiveness? I'm trying to see how it could, but I don't, even though my Sun is in the 5th. Does anyone have an idea on that? Thanks.

I aspire to be a professional astrologer myself. Using the Placidus House system, I have a 4th house Uranus as well (in Libra), Neptune in Scorp in the 5th, OPP (lose orb) Saturn, but no aspects to my moon except SQ ASC, and the only hard aspect to my Sun is CON Mercury by 1°. As for my third house, using the Placidus system, I have a Pluto singleton, but using Equal Houses it's not a singleton - it places Mars and Uranus into the 3rd as well. My moon is in the 4th. Actually, in one system (equal), I have 4 planets in the 4th (sun/moon/merc/jup), in the other (placidus), I have 5 in the 4th (sun/moon/mars/uranus/mercury).

Off subject - can anyone recommend a book that delves in depth into the house systems? I find the different house systems to be one of the more frustrating aspects of astrology.

I don't think Placidus is as accurate as everyone says it to be, I think the Equal House System is by far the most accurate. House systems go by preference than anything less, "what ever works for you" is the motto.

Great topic Lala. I've read that Uranus is the 'astrologer's planet'. I have a strong Uranus placement. It is conjunct my MC at 13' Scorpio. And I have Aqua interceped in the first. My Uranus squares my Mars. And I have Neptune in the 11th opposite Venus.

I remember being told if you have Uranus (or Aquarius) placed in the 1st, 4th, 8th or 10th (conj MC) - you would make a great astrologer or at least be inclined to study astrology.
____________________________________________

Starlover - the house systems have been debated alot. And over the years most astrologers have come to the conclusion that Placidus is the most accurate. To each their own yes, but this has been researched thoroughly and I've read a lot about it. I think that the majority is right on this subject. Placidus is the way to go. But the choice is obviously yours.

Isis - if your looking for a good book on the Houses, get The Twelve Houses by Howard Sasportas. I'm telling you awesome book!!
The Twelve Houses
"This is by far the best book on the houses out there. Mr. Sassportas shows the Liz Greene influence here in this superior reference. He not only talks of the mission of each house he talks about the varies signs that rule them and planets being located in them. Another "must have". It goes in and out of print frequently so grab a copy while you can."

For HOUSE SYSTEMS here's one:
Astrology for Yourselfby Douglas Bloch and Demetra George
"A brilliant step by step guide to understanding your chart. You learn about your specific chart and get quizzed at the end of each small, easy to understand chapter. It moves fast and covers asteroids, house systems and a surprising number of topics left out of most astrology books. "[/i]

Cool Cool!

I have Uranus in the 6th in Scorpio. It's conjunct Mercury (Libra 6), opposed Jupiter (Aries 11), square Moon (Cancer 3) and Saturn (Leo 3), trine Mars (Gemini 1), and Sextile Venus (Leo 4).

I plan to learn as much about astrology in my life as possible. I don't know that I will make a trade out of it... I just wanna be in the know, but I am quite serious about it.

I don't really know what these placements mean as far as this topic is concerned.

Anyone wanna break it down to me?... or point me somewhere so I can break it down myself.

To make a long explanation short

Uranus in the 7th

Neptune in the 7th (although on astro.com it considers it to be in the 8th)

that square my

Moon in the 5th.

Great topic!
Uranus doesn't do much in my chart its more Neptune that stands out. Neptune in 4th house. It squares Venus, Mars and Ascendant, trines Sun and Moon, sextile Pluto and opposes Midheaven.

Hi All!!

Okay, I tried this earlier but my computer went nuts and shut down.

I have Uranus in the first house- making a hard opposition to my Aries moon in the 7th (as well as squaring Mercury in the 4th).

My Neptune is in the 3rd house and is also in Scorpio making a sextile to Pluto (in the 1st house).

Astrology has always been an interest for the most part of my life, but in the last 4 years I started to get more into the science behind it (although some would argue about using the term science).

Hmmm. I-N-T-E-R-E-S-T-I-N-G.

I wouldn't consider myself an "astologer" per say, but I AM very passionate about it, and tend to always be thinking about and analyzing people and scenarios from an astrological perspective. I devote an awful lot of time to reading about it, looking at charts, comparing, etc...and I find it all very easy to comprehend. So, does it seem appropriate that I have a Uranian ruled moon, (which is in the second house, house of personal values and what we have to offer to others, i.e., what's valueable about us), Uranus conjunct the MC, and Neptune 4 degrees away from my 1st house cusp?

I guess it's very appropriate. Maybe I'll actually make a name for myself one day with it. Who knows?? Maybe a few LL'ers will.

Teo -

Here's some info on Singleton's to see if you have one, and you can study it. One of the strongest forms of Singleton's is when you have only one planet in a certain Element, like me, I have a Uranus in Leo Singleton - I have no other Fire in my Chart. So that Fire is on it's own and becomes a stronger influence or focal point.

Or like my ex with his Singleton Moon in Capricorn. He has no other planets in an Earth sign.

My Neptune:
* At 22d Saggie in the 2nd House
* Involved in a very tight t-square with my 5th House (22d) Pisces Sun and 11th House (23d) Virgo Saturn.
* Loose trine to my 10th House 29d Leo Mars and NN.

My Uranus:
* At 25d Scorp in the 1st House.
* Sextile my 23d Virgo Saturn in the 11th.
* Square My NN and Mars.
* Trine my Sun.

My Pluto
* At 21d Libra in the 12th (the House ruled by the sign in which my Sun is in...which is in the 5th).
* Makes only a generational sextile to my Neptune and a minor aspect (Quincunx) to my Sun.
* Is a singleton in my chart (only Cardinal sign).

Don't know what all of that says about me...'cept maybe that I'm a space cadet

Thanks for that link AJ it's very interesting! Looks like I have a singleton uranus in scorpio and that's the only water placement in my chart. I have a couple of others but this one sticks out as the others are fire and earth and not alone in those elements. Wow, so much to be getting on with and learning, this is great.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to give everyone a chance to respond before I commented.

Anyone notice how many people here have Uranus in Scorpio?? Especially conjunct the Sun or Asc. I love it! Uranus is exalted here so in a sense its like having an 8th house Uranus. This powerful placement seems to be prevelent here. Judging by all these examples I'd say we're in the right place. Uranus is brotherhood (or sisterhood).

Lalalinda,

Will wait for your analysis. I do have good intuition though. It never fails me. Also I tent bring different perspective when something is being studied (It may be the Pluto influence)

Hi iAmThat
Most definately with Uranus and Pluto in the 12th, it opens up that 12th house world to you (conjunct the Asc.) What aspects do these planets make to the 12th house ruler? (do you have Virgo on the 12th house cusp) Then it would be Mercury.
Does your Moon aspect either planet and what house is it in?
