Which of the 12 signs does this sound most like to you? And why?"THE REALIST" These men and women suffer no illusions. They don’t hitch their wagons to a star, count their chickens before they’re hatched, sing that life is just a bowl of cherries, or don rose-colored glasses to paint their existence in a more beguiling hue. Even when things are not so pleasant, they see them as they are. Of course, since the current culture favors individuals who "think positive," look on the bright side, and attempt always to improve themselves, somebody with this style may not exactly fit the image. But these people don’t expect to be popular. What they sacrifice in silver linings, they gain in ability to carry on in even the worst of circumstances. No other personality style is quite so able to endure when a harsh climate seems to descend on the planet. This is a no-frills, no-nonsense, just-do-it personality style, whose strength in hard times can help everyone to survive. Like many of the other personality styles, it is one where a little goes a long way. THE SEVEN CHARACTERISTICS 1. Straight face. Individuals with this personality style maintain a sober demeanor. They are solemn and not given to emotional expression. 2. No pretensions. They are realistically aware of their own capabilities, but they are also aware of their own limitations; they are not tempted by vanity or self-importance. 3. Accountability. These people hold themselves responsible for their actions. They will not soft-pedal their own faults and do nor let themselves off the hook. 4. Cogitation. They’re thinkers, analyzers, evaluators, ruminators: They’ll always play things over in their minds before they act. 5. Nobody’s fool. Men and women with this personality style are sharp appraisers of others. In their ability to critique other people, they are as unhesitating as in their own self-evaluation. 6. No surprises. They anticipate problems and when the worst happens, they’re prepared to deal with it. 7. Contrition. These people suffer greatly when they realize they’ve been thoughtless or impolite to others. I'm with the Virgos on this one. Here's why: Contrition. These people suffer greatly when they realize they’ve been thoughtless or impolite to others. A Cappy wouldn't give a damn. A Virgo would. Hey... most people aren't giving their *why's*!!! Alright you ppl who can't follow directions ... line up IP: Logged |

Hmm, lets see if I can sort this mess out.A realist - so it's an earth sign, more than likely. Since there's isn't things like "loves luxury, food and a big fat paycheck" it's obviously not Taurus. So it's down to Virgo or Cap. Actually, for all the nasty comments I make about Caps, they do give a damn. It's just often they care so much about what others think and feel in relation to their own actions it overwhelms them, which threatens their sense of self-control and integrity. Cap is an extreme sign, so when they're overwhelmed with guilt, either they become horridly depressed or resolve to not let it bother them and rationalize away their compunction (like saying things, "Hey, they deserved it!"), which means they turn into cold-hearted b*str*ds. I could write treatise on this, "When Good Caps Turn Bad" LOL. Anyhow, score 1 for Cap (no. 7). I don't think it's Virgo because while Virgos like to think they hold themselves accountable, often they really don't. This a Mercurial sign, and mutable - which means they are more thought than action, nervous, hypesensitive, easily stressed, and crack under pressure. So while they have high standards for themselves and like to convince themselves and everyone else that they stick to them, they nonetheless don't hold up well under the strain of culpability. Caps do. Caps were born to plead guilty. Score 1 for Cap (no. 3). That also means Virgos hold prentensions, just like their Mercurial cousins, us Geminis (guilty as charged!). Caps don't see the need to and genuinely hate pretensions. Pretense mean the world isn't black and white, and that's how the Cap wants it, g**d*** it! Nothing hidden between the lines, under the table, or behind a smile (which why Caps don't smile very much, as would fit no. 1). This also means they hate surpises - they what things on the table so they can deal with, because they know you can't. Score 2 for Cap (no. 2 and 6). Virgos, being Mercurial, have the tendency to burn off that nervous energy through humor and conviviality, meeting with variable success. But at least they try. Do Caps? Ha. Score 1 for Cap. (no. 1) The Cap is symbolized by a goat, which is a ruminating animal. Virgo is symbolized by a virgin, which bitches and preens, but doesn't ruminate. Score 1 for Cap. (no. 4) Virgo and Cap both are class A critics of your every fault. So what's the difference between the two? Virgo, being a mutable, hypersensitive sign, often hesistates to proffer their criticism because they wish to avoid a stressful situation, unless you p*ss them off. In which case, run for the hills. Caps, on the otherhand, will throw out their often on-target criticisms causally and bluntly as if they were talking about the weather. And no dressing up the truth, cos they hate pretensions and surprises. Score 1 for Cap. (no. 5) So that's Cap 7, Virgo 0 in my book. I guess I'm going to have to say Cap. IP: Logged |
