I don't remember who or where we were talking about the MC and I was at the bookstore today and read about how the House the Ruler of the MC is in will say a lot about what type of career you will enjoy.

Example:::

Ruler of my MC = Uranus
Uranus is in my 4th House

So unique work having to do with 4th House stuff is for me - and SO TRUE !!

You really need a larger than normal home (or one with a great view) or you’ll feel claustrophobic. Later in life, you will tend to travel, study, or both. Hmm...lets see...my MC is in Capricorn, so the ruler would be Saturn, and I have Saturn (i think its neat I have Saturn, the ruler of the 10th house ruling the MC, the ruler of the 10th house as well) in my 6th House...service and health jobs, maybe?

My MC is in Gemini, amd Mercury is also in the 10th, conjunct my MC. I suppose that means I should be successful in jobs requiring communication, or at least talking a lot. LOL. I'm a good teacher, and am currently employed as one more or less, but am not "officially" a teacher, nor am I especially keen on becoming one. I'm just meandering about, working various, short-term jobs that suit my Geminian short attention span.

I do hope to be successful with either my writing or music one day, before I die (although I wouldn't begrudge posthumous success ). With a Gemini MC, with Sun and Mercury in the 10th and trined my NN, there seems to be hope for me, even if in a modest extent.

but, at the moment my career involves social work.

The few people I know who have Saturn in the 10th are very intelligent, have big careers, and are hard-working.

Hmmmm........

My MC is in Virgo, conjunct my Sun within 2 degrees. I remember an astrologist making a big deal about it, but I am not sure why anymore. Maybe I need that book. Oh yeah, and my MC is conjunct my Mercury too. Nifty.
Does that make me a perfectionist freak, obsessee with my job? Hee Hee.

I know its makes me talk and think fast.

Hi Guys! Here's me peeking in...still no internet at home, and I keep clicking out of Lindaland here at work, lol, talk about a guilty conscious!

I don't think the rule here works for me:

MC Leo
Sun in 8th

I'm an event manager (Gemini!!), but interested in astrology/esoterics.

The thing for me which is more obvious is:

*AC Libra
*7th House Taurus, Moon in 7th conj. 6/7th house cusp
*Venus conj MC (0° Orb)
*Uranus conj AC

Venus/MC (ruler of my AC and Moon)squares my AC (and uranus) and Moon making a T-Square. I feel this spills over into work, I have a need to work very creatively, and cultivatedly, the work atmosphere is very important to me (co-workers are pleasant and the office looks nice) as well as harmony, and that everyone is looking out for each other (no elbowing). Thankfully, I also landed that job! (Jupiter in the 6th!)

My MC is in Aquarius, and my Uranus is in the 7th house.

What kind of career would that signify O_O? Things to do with law? Eh. Am too tired right now, can't remember what other general careers Libra's connected to.

Hee hee, I was talking to someone about careers, and he said to check out what house Pallas is in, as it often "inclines" people to have special talents and skills in that house's area. And my pallas is in the 8th.

So the way I see it, being a Gemini, with MC/Merc in Gem, and Pallas in the 8th (sex, death, wealth), I should be particularly talented at the foloowing careers:

- sex therapist (oooo, I could have my own show on Oxygen! LOL)

- spirit medium (I could have my own show on the Sci Fi channel! )

- a con artist that literally talks people out their money (then, after my incarceration, they'll have a special about me on Court TV )

OK, I find this amusing...

That's cool, I don't remember if I'd heard that about Pallas in that way, but I don't think so. Hmmmm... very interesting indeed. I'm going to look into that more.

I have my Pallas in Pisces in the 10th.

I've connected Pallas as being one's "Battle Style" - So that mine in Pisces would not make me that great in winning "battles".

Here's more info on Pallas -

"Pallas-Athene represents a spark of the Warrior Goddess within you who defends your wisdom, creativity and fairness. It is the subtle qualities that allow you to fight for what you feel is just and fair within your life and it allows you to back your wisdom with a defense of strength, belief and fortitude. It is also lends a spark of courage and a glimmer of activism to your ability to believe in your knowledge, your talents and your intelligence. It also highlights talents, gifts and creative qualities that you possess."

And in Pisces -

"Pallas in Pisces:

You are the Warrior Goddess who protects our dreams. Your talents are poetic, visionary and spiritual and when brought into the world allow us to visualize a realm that lies beyond the mundane and mind oriented. You utilize unconditional love and acceptance to problem solve and work through outer issues. You resonate with the music of the soul and the universe and strive to fight for its place in our lives."

"Pallas in Gemini:

You fight and protect with your mind and its sharpened intellectual weapons. Your creativity is progressive, thought oriented and explorative. You value thoughts, ideas, new horizons and communications and create equality in intellectual circles by a free sharing of wisdom and knowledge. You're likely to feel most protective of freedom of movement and speech. Your Warrior Goddess protects our rights to free thoughts. Your wisdom is ingenious. mentally oriented and fast moving. You could be talented in the literary field."

Hey Heart--Shaped Cross, we have similar situation. My MC ruler (Pluto) is in my 9th in Libra. I’m still in school, but I’m probably gonna be teacher. What’s your job? Also having Uranus in 10th. (retrograde)

Pallas/2nd house Capricorn, conjunct Juno, and square Venus and opposite Moon.
Organized thinking is important to me, but the squares do not make it easy. I help teach others how to overcome challenges, and I do things that I find difficult at first.

If a job is too easy I won't take it. I always look at the difficulty level first. I enjoy science very much, for that reason I have a lot of male friends from early one, socializing around science/math/chess buddies. It's nice that they happen to be male.

Uranus/10th house here too conjunct Pluto and Jupiter. But I do not see this as a career house, only the house of what I want to show off.

Pluto rules standards set early on, Uranus my dreams, and Jupiter, my emotions which I have to control. Once I bypassed what others want, my career was ruled more by my Venus in Aries, than anything else.

But then Jupiter and Pluto are square everything in my chart so that could be the reason for the difficulties with the 10th house-it pushes me towards my Aries nature, teach and do. The 10th is the reward in society, but not the motivation.
I doubt I will see my reward in this life, so I am trying to understand my function, what controls me, my own logic and the logic of others.
