Recently I've started thinking of my sun moon and asc as a family (fire and air as guys and water earth as girls )
so in my case
my asc is taurus I think of an overbearing jewish mother like from the Nannie! and my moon as her Virgo neurotic uptight critical daughter who needs to lighten up and lay offher sagitarrius sunawkward all over the place brother who needs to focus and be free too be his adventurous self without losing the support of his earthy sister and mother!!!!
Get the picture?? its really fun and maybe helpful??!!

Seeing my Gem Sun, Pis moon, and Vir ASC form a fairly tight t-square, I don't think I'd see them as a family (althought, being all mutable, they do have a common denominator), but more like partners in crime, with my Gem Sun being the mastermind of course.

Plus since I have a strong Pluto rising, my ASC doesn't do much without Pluto, and my Gem is virtually inseperatable from my Gem Mercury (a close conjunction). Actually, since every planet in my chart is well aspected, and it all leads back, one way or another, to my Gem Sun/Mercury, I guess my planets are more like a mob, my Sun the godfather, and my Mercury his very close, right hand man.

OK - But I also have a step-sister.

Sun - Libra
The fairminded mother

Moon - Cancer
The creepy brother living in the shadows.

Asc - Taurus
The awkward little sister in her gawky stage who can't quite fit her role responsibly.

The step-sister is my 1st House mostly occupied by Gemini, since the Asc in Taurus is at 29.48 degrees. She's the one with like an antenne growing out of her head, being distracted by every nuance.

(hee hee)

Not all Jewish mothers are overbearing... "The Nanny" is only a TV show, and it's built, as so many shows are, on old stereotypes that have no basis in truth. Just a little FYI on perhaps not being so all-encompassing with any stereotyping here. Thanks.
