Incredible. I emailed my dad, who had previously been so scathing about my line of work, with the address of my new website. Yesterday I received an e-mail AND an answerphone message saying the site looked really professional, my artwork reproduced beautifully, and he hoped that I got a lot of comebacks fom it!
I was so pleased - and so surprised! I couldn't believe it! I'm not sure if he knows how much this really means to me.
So maybe my Mars-Saturn conjunction in the 10th house isn't such a handicap after all...

That's really good news. Just remember, your self-esteem does NOT depend on that either.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Maybe you should email back and let him know that it meant a lot to you.

What IS your line of work, Ariestiger? (sorry, I know you must have already went into the details here at some point or another, but I guess I missed it)

Odd how getting Kudos from your parents never seems to lose it's effect, huh? (at least if they were half decent parents, anyway)

Hey ariestiger - congratulations! I know that would mean a great deal to me too.

I'd love to see some of your work, would it be possible to see some? What part of the UK are you in?

Best wishes,
K

Hi Sheaa,
Awh - thanks!
I will try and post some of my work at the Lindaland Photoshop at some point...so watch this space.

I emailed/spoke to my dad recently again. He was okay. I think it was a question of getting over that initial reunion thing. It also confirmed what I've always thought, that Aries people of opposite sexes, whatever the relationship is, can actually be quite good friends for each other.
I do love him, so much, perhaps more than I realized.

It sounds like we have similar situations ~ sorry ariestiger, I didn't see Part 1; How long was before you spoke again?

My father was a single parent to me since I was about 4 years. He's done a grand job. I looked up to him always. We are very similar & as I got older, used to clash quite badly sometimes, his bday 28/11 and mine 29/11, both Sags

So after falling out for a while - ridiculous, but y'know how these things ride.. it took for the split between him & my step mum recently, to really bring us closer. It's been tough and have been sooo worried about him this year, but he's real strong, I know it cos he taught me how to be. I have always loved him dearly, however he equally gets on my nerves!

It's his 50th year this year and want to plan a lovely weekend with him my aunty & cousins (the rest of the family live abroad)

I don't want to look back one day and regret anything.

Looking forward to seeing the artwork!
Sheaa

We hadn't spoken properly for 6 years! - My parents split up directly after our wedding; we came back from honeymoon and found out my dad had been a naughty boy (again!) - I found it very difficult to forgive him as I hated the thought of him being with another woman - however my mother was VERY difficult to live with and I can in some ways see his point; it was a joke them being married. I think things have probably simmered down between them a bit, she has her own place and a dog, and he seems to be fairly happy with this other woman and lives opposite a pub, so his needs are pretty much catered for!
His 65th is next March but he has no intention of retiring. He is sports- and horse-mad (Moon in Sag)and had his first polo lesson recently. I must admit, I didn't want to regret anything either. And I did miss him...and he missed me...So I'm glad we managed to bury the hatchet!

It's pretty tough to split with a parent forever,

Good Luck Ariestiger!

Hey ariestiger ~ I sighed relief for you ~ 6 years? Wow that's amazing. I hope everything pans out good for you
I'd like to speak with my mum and hope to see her at some point before I have kids at least.
How cool, your dad likes polo? My dad loves horses and know he'd love to have one, but simply not feasible with work & our two dogs

Good chatting with you ariestiger, all the best for you & your dad!
