i trust all of you guys in here for good advice, so i was wondering if you could help me out here on short notice. i've decided to go see a psychic that is in town on friday. i've been to this place twice before, and they always have differant psychics there for two weekends a year. i was just wondering what i should ask this time. i always have good questions, but i was wondering if anyone could give me some more ideas to start me thinking.
what would you ask a psychic if you had the chance?
some of these psychics also do tarot and know astrology. it all depends they way they work. the first time i went, the person asked who had died lately and i said absolutely no one. i didn't know anyone who has died at all. we concluded it was my cat. the second time the guy was right on, up to pulling up a justice card representing my libra guy. he said we would not marry. we broke up since, but that was pure free will. i did not listen to him on that one. i thought that was kind of a dumb thing to say, but i asked. 
i'm just wondering how much it will cost this time. the price goes up every year, i swear.
so, what is a "good" question, and what would you guys ask or what are your experiences with psychics? p.s. - sorry for posting this in this forum, but i like all you guys and wanted to ask you!

Hey Puppy,I have to say I wouldn't go to a psychic myself. I'm not that interested in what they'd have to say. I think I like living in the moment and I like the good and bad surprises life throws at you. It would bother me to have someone predict something in my life. I know of people who have gone to psychics though. One of my friends, a gemini went to one and it changed her heaps for some reason. She didnt tell anyone what the psychic had told her but she started acting really strange afterwards. It was spooky. Some people did find it interesting and accurate though, so it's really up to you. For some reason I just don't trust most psychics. First of all I don't think anyone should lookin into the future, because IF the preiction is accurate (which is something i don't really beieve in; I think we get choices and even though there is such thing as faith and destiny we deffinetly have a big say in the way the future unfolds) you'd already know what will happen which would make life boring. And if it's inaccurate you prolly just wasted loads of money on something that was virtually useless and that might alter your behaviour when it shouldnt. That's just my opinion though. I mean if you don't take it to heart too much, and you just go there for the experience and pure curiosity then, go for it. Just don't take it to seriously, that's my advice. IP: Logged |

wow. ok. that's how my experience went. i guess you are gathering from this that yes, i did go to see one of the psychics. it was just great. i can barely type, i'm that hyped up. i guess what was so great about is was that i was talking to him about me maybe being a writer, and he said he thought i have some really good potential and did a spread for me and said that lots of people ask him questions about writing, but that i really had some DRIVE behind it. i think so too. it was just something i had been inspired to do lately. i've writen in the past, but always wanted to do a book, and this just totally got me of my rear end to finally start it.
we got to talking about past lives, and we agreed on me living in the country in one and how my relationships now are reflecting what happened in that life. it all made so much sense. it was just so great to hear another's prespecitive on life and have such a meaningful conversation. i actually came home and just wrote the opening paragraph to my book! can you believe it? i got an idea about what to write about when we were talking about my past life. they say write what you know about, so.... all these years, and i finally got the encouragement i needed to start! he also wrote some books, so he had some personal encouragement and advice to give me.
we talked about saturn and how it is in such a good place for my career right now and it just coincided with how ambitious i feel right now, looking to the future, and getting a great job and making my life into what i really want. i just feel really good. and that's saying alot. i've felt somewhat discuraged lately - i've recently gone through some major losses relationships wise, and it's good to know that i'm on the right track and what i feel is right on target with the planets. i know now that my wanting to focus on my career is vital and necessary for me now, and that the plantets are actually encouraging it. i just feel so positive. ok, so you guys can puke at what i just wrote. j/k. i know it sounds like i'm preaching here and going "yeah, yeah! like a dork. i know from your posts on here that you aren't too fond of psychics, but i just wanted to let you know what happened and tell someone about my excitement of starting my book. it's really a dream come true. i hope i can keep up this momentem on it. i'll keep you all posted.
p.s. i knew most of this stuff all along, and no, this guy did not really predict the future, per se, but did what goes on here alot - discussing what is going on in your life through the use of astrology and tarot. i also didn't mean to imply in my previous post that they charge an arm and a leg - they are really, really, priced resonably compaired to most doing the same thing. i'm just broke cause i just graduated - so i always worry about money. 
he also took time over the session to do another spread for me, just because he wanted to make sure i got all the information i wanted. so, all in all, i would recomend it to someone, but i understand what you were warning me about. there are alot of phonies out there. it pays to be cautious, so thank you for your advice. p.s.s. anyone here ever write a book? maybe you can give me some advice when i get stuck.
