... just what the question says ...

I'm thinking Sag or Pisces. Maybe a Libra.

Oooh! One of my best friends, a Libra, has been doing this, he's so in debt, had to move back home after sleeping on people's couches and yet he still walks the earth like he'll rule it someday. Me, on the other hand, a Virgo, would immediately fall apart w/o some sort of financial security.

I don't know what would prompt you to ask such a question, Astro Junkie, but your thinking seems about right to me. However, I would disclaim that such an attitude can't be seen through the Sun Sign alone.

The obvious negative (inverse) answer is, not an Earth sign. I've met a few Virgos, Tauruses, and Capricorns -- and others with heavy Earth influences in their charts -- who thought that money and material possessions weren't major concerns of theirs, but in every case they were deluding themselves.

Air signs, I'd say, are best able to "live with no money". They are more apt than the other elements to see the intangible, non-physical side of Life (thoughts, feelings, the Spirit) as more important than physical reality.

Look for either a preponderance of Air in the chart, or a lack of Earth.

I dont think any sign can 'live with no money'. Especially in this day and age. Money is needed to survive.

But earth signs, especially Tauruses (the sign that rules money) are the ones most concerned with it. Water signs are as well. It's actually a feminine sign thing as I touch on below.

From my observations, Fire signs are the ones who truly LIVE without money. The air signs I know are usually broke. But the fire signs that are broke, seem to not even realize it and manage to live life to it's fullest extent without it. They get by very well, even if they are using others as their means to do so.

But we all have all 12 signs somewhere in our chart. Look to you second house to see how you relate to money, worth - of all kinds, and how you relate to the senses. In addition, it is the area of life where we experience sensual gratification, where we enjoy the things of the five senses. It represents our attitudes toward how we allow ourselves to experience physical, bodily pleasure.

The sign on the second house cusp shows fundamental values and attitudes toward sensuality, and possessions that are valued security. Planets in the second further emphasize what needs the person feels and how she or he may go about fulfilling them. It represents talents and skills by which we may earn income.

A good example is myself. A triple earth sign. BUT, with Pisces on the second house. That changes things alot.

"For example, Pisces on the second may feel secure with surrender and sacrifice, or he feels secure with having nothing. There is a sense of safety in feeling helpless and at the mercy of the universe. “I can let go and enjoy all my senses, the first five as well as the intuitive ones, in every way, and not be attached to any one thing.” "

Where Pisces and Neptune in your chart are, are where things dissolve.

I have lived without much money most of my life. Though, it is a concern with me being a triple earth sign. By wanting money, that doesnt mean you cant be or arent spiritual. Most people dont understand that.

Many peoples relationship with money is a negative one. I think you can see a certain part of a person's self worth through their money, or lack of it. Money is another form of energy.

Reverend Jennifer Baltz does a good job of putting my thoughts on money into words here.

quote:
"When we think of money, we usually don’t think about it as a spiritual issue. But money is really just a marker for the transfer of life energy. If you think about it, money isn’t really a tangible thing…it has no value in and of itself, only the value we assign to it.

And yet we spend a lot of time worrying about our money, bemoaning the lack of it, trying to acquire more. We sacrifice our health and time working in jobs we hate for it, lose people we love over it, go into tremendous fear about it, feel constrained by it, and sometimes even kill each other for it.

Money itself is neutral…. but we put tremendous emotional charge on it.

Take a moment and breathe and think about your money situation right now. How do you feel about it? Notice what you feel in your body when you think about it. If you’re like many people, you might notice that you are not fully comfortable thinking or talking about your money space. Notice if you have ever experienced fear or survival when thinking about your money. Or if you just don’t want to think about it at all.

Part of the emotional charge is because most folks see money as a tangible thing, coming from outside, rather than a flow of energy that comes from within. Our money comes from a job, a boss, a client, our family, from the bank. Because money seems like a thing that originates outside, with someone else, we give up our seniority to it…we let it be bigger than us. And then we come from a place of fear or contractedness rather than love and empowerment.

But what if you were to relate to your money from a space of love and joy rather than from fear or survival? Your nature as a spirit is love. But it is easy to get stuck in the darker places if you don’t start by remembering that. "

"Simply put, money makes life much easier because it gives a person the means to fulfill whatever desires God has implanted inside them."

MONEY IS JUST ANOTHER FORM OF ENERGY & GOD'S LOVE

Those who by karma evolve to a more balanced view of money realize that it is just another aspect of the energy of spirit made visible in form. The energy of spirit takes on many forms in the physical world: like love, time, space, and nature to name a few.

No one ever says: "it is bad to have more love in my life... or more time, or more space, or more natural resources that are freely abundant to everyone" like air, sunshine, and so on. In fact, people desperately seek love, take time for granted, occupy space without really noticing it, and ignore nature unless it gets in the way.

No one says "give me less love, less time, less space, and while you are at it, cut down on the air I need to have every moment and without which I will be dead in three minutes". Yet these same people say give me less money when they believe that it is "evil" and will keep them from "being a good person" or from "becoming more spiritual". http://www.healpastlives.com/future/rule/rumoney.htm

Okay, I went off there.

The point is, yes, earth signs are more concerened with money than the other elements. That doesnt mean they are all greedy and only care about material possesions. We all have earth somewhere in our chart, even if we dont have any planets there. We live in a physical world. We are spiritual beings. Whether you want to or not, you have to deal with the physical aspects of life. And you have the choice to make it easy or hard.

Money is Taurus and the Second House's domain. What is something WORTH? This is some of what this sign and house is all about. Along with material worth, this sign is concerned with self worth. The second house is field which challenges an individual to define and refine his or her personal sense of values. is concerned with ethics, morals, integrity and priorities...what an individual "stands for" and what influences that individual's choices in life. In addition to personal values, this house is traditionally associated with inner and outer talents and resources.

Which brings me to the point of the earth (and water) signs being Feminine, negative, Yin signs. And usually more spiritual and heart centered than Air and Fire. Masculine, positive, Yang, head centered.

"All Zodiac Signs governed by the Elements of Earth and Water are considered to be Feminine in nature. Thus, Taurus (ruled by earth) is considered Feminine (as are Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces). Feminine Signs are traditionally conceived as being more receptive and less active than their Masculine counterparts which are ruled by the Elements of Fire and Air (the Zodiac Signs of Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius). Feminine Signs focus primarily on the emotional and material world with particular attention to sensitivity and depth of feeling. Feminine Signs are said to be noctural or night-oriented. Therefore, the term "feminine" should be viewed in the same light as the Yin (or dark) Polarity of the Tao."

Leave it to a triple earth sign, with Pisces on the 2nd house to give such a long post on money and the spiritual aspect attatched to it!

My Taurus says he hates money, but he likes owning beautiful and well made things (sometimes he thinks that includes me.. yeah, like you can own a Saggie?) LOL

I can't live without money. I don't know what right minded Saggie ever could. How can one be free if they do not have the means to do it? Most of us Archers will work our butts off so that we can buy that freedom / ticket to other places.

Not to mention that Saggies are somewhat vain, we like to look good and we like great food and drink- which doesn't come cheap

There is a good number of Saggies that don't seem to have a problem freeloading or mooching. Those kinds of Saggies annoy me.

As generous as I can be, it will all stop in a heartbeat if I feel that someone is taking it for granted or using me- then I am gone as quickly as I showed up

Then again, I have Saturn in Taurus in the 8th house

I dated a Saggie with, I believe, a Libra Moon - either that or Gemini Moon. And he was very earthy and not into the money thing. He had enough charm to go around. He was a very imaginative artist and inspires me to this day.

I was married to a lazy Sag (Aries rising, Scorp moon) who lost his job and didn't bother to find another one. This meant that I was supporting him and my two children on my modest salary.

My mother always said that she didn't know how I survived and that I could live on the smell of an oily rag.

I am a Scorp Sun, Libra Asc & Aries moon.

I can totally see that, I knew this one girl who was scorp sun/libra asc (cap moon) and I used to joke with her that I would look after the kids while she went to work. I dont think she would mind that much if that was indeed the case, based on her reactions, and I mustve said it a few times at least.

I pretty much loathe money. I need it, obviously, to live in this world, but it's a big P.I.T.A. I wish I really *could* live without it. I know other Pisces who feel the same way...

Scorpios, because we deal in extremes.
Pisceans, because they find beauty in a clump of dirt.
Sagittarius, because they are philosophical,
and may, in this way, rise above material concerns.

Also, in the Chinese Zodiac, the Earth-Horse can supposedly survive "on thin air".

Well, I didn't say I was happy about it. In fact, I feel a little ripped off. I was working part time (half time at home, half time at work), it seemed the perfect balance. Unfortunately, I was forced back into full-time work after the birth of my second child.

My son is now six, I've been separated from that Sag for nearly four years, and finally in the last month, he got a job. But he doesn't pay me any child support money. So I'm still shouldering the financial burden of my family, only, he isn't in it any longer

I'm a virgo and money doesnt mean that much to me. I earn a fairly decent amount — enough to pay the bills, keep me in shoes and have some left over to save — but I have a job which means little to me.

I'd much rather things were the other way round. Once i figure out the rest of my life, I dont think I will miss the money if I quit my job. Love, life and creativity are much more important to me than security — and I'm a Virgo!!!

I say pisces. Loads of us don't have an inherent understanding of how money works, but there always seems to be what we need when we need it. The "universe takes care of us" mentality.
