OK, I have 3 cats. Two of them I know their b-day withina week (but not to the day), so I know their signs. One's an Aqua and the other's a Gemini. They exhibit traits of their signs quite while:

Aqua Kitty is the Alpha Cat. She's the boss, and rather bitchy and stubborn in a "I know what's what" Aqua way. She's aloof and detached, but has to keep an eye on everything. She's also very loyal to me, her human servant, and is deeply affectionate in her our offbeat way, yet only to me and not to anyone else. She stays with me by her choice, which she has made clear to me on a daily basis for the last 11 years.

Gemini Kitty is sweet, playful and very good with her paws, which are also sensitive. She's a good little hunter, and has many toys. She particularly likes bright and shiny things. She seems like an eternal kitten, although she's now 3 years old. She's very reliant on more dominant figures around her, particularly Aqua Kitty and me, whom she thinks is her mommy cat. While she strangely cannot meow, she does purr loudly and lot.

So I'm thinking I can deduce what my third cat is. He showed up at my aprtment complex one day 3 years ago, already grown. So I haven't a clue when his b-day might have been. however, I can't decide which sign he's like the most. I'm thinking it's either Libra or Sag. Here's the evidence:

Why I think he's a Sag:

- He loves food. He is little on the hefty side and works hard and diligently at keeping it that way. He's not picky about his food either. He even eats tomatoes and watermelon.
- He likes to wander around the neighborhood, even though I discourage this. he likes visiting with the neighbors.
- He can be a bit daring and oblivious to risk, which worries me a lot. He isn't intimidated by aggressive cats, usually just ignoring them, and he likes to climb up onto high places like trees and the roof.
- He's a superb mouse hunter. He's pretty much taken care of the mouse problem we had around here.

Here's why I think he's a Libra:

- He's a charmer. Everyone, even people who don't like cats, think he's adorable.
- He likes soft, cushy things to sleep on. Granted, most cats do, but this guy as a certain affinty for soft furniture that is a bit above the norm.
- He took to me immediately, which is often the case with Librans I meet. We have a transspecies rapport that is quite harmonious and laid back. He even sleeps right next to me every night on his own special pillow next to mine (which Aqua Kitty disapproves of thoroughly)
- He doesn't fight with other cats at all. Aqua Kitty is always hissing and spatting at him in jealousy and he just evades her. In corner he'll hiss back, but it's half-hearted at best.

Other things to consider:

- While he's a charmer and friendly, he doesn't like being petted much and doesn't seek out attention as much as other cats. He really doesn't like being held either.
- He's easily wounded, both his body and his feelings. He's been injured more than most cats I've owned. And he gets upset easily by little things, like moving his pillow, and doesn't take to be being consoled, preferring to go pout alone somewhere.
- He prefers women to men.
- While other things upset him, he doesn't play attention to being reprimanded. You can be quite firm with him, yet it doesn't phase him.
- He sleeps like a rock.

So, what sign does he sound like to you guys?

I am assuming you jest, lovely. I've had a Cancer cat, and while he did prefer women to men (but not excessively - he was equally afraid of most everyone), he was terrified of loud noises, and spent much of day hiding in the closet. This guy hates small, confined spaces, perferring to nap out in the open (usually in the middle of the bed, on the dining table, on top of the PC monitor, so forth). And while sudden loud noises perturb/annoy his refined nature, he's not that senstive to noise overall. My Cancer kitty also slobbered and drooled when he was petted, which this guy never does.

My mom has a Cancer cat, and he's exactly like my Cancer cat was.

And I don't think with a Virgo (seeing I'm a Gemini) I'd get along so well. I'd also think he'd be more picky about his food and not be so indifferent to my reprimands.

I'm leaning toward Libra, mostly because he seems more like Libra cats I've known. I had one Sag kitty, shortly, before he got fatally ill, and he was excessively playful and was instant best buddies with my Gemini Kitty, which this guy isn't. He'll play a little with her or sleep next to her, but she has to initiate it.

At my alma mater, there's a trio of Libra litter mates that live there (actually, I helped birth these kittens, as their mommy was a feral a friend had taken in), and they're two years old now, and very much like my guy: charming, laid back, social but not excessively/desperately affectionate, loves food and are well rounded bodywise, like to wander around and visit with people and are universally adored.

Zoso - I had a Leo kitty once too, long haired, very dignified looking and beautiful. A true Leo - she'd sit up in the window like she was expecting a crowd to gather outside and adore her. If you walked in the room and didn't pay attention to her first, she'd make editorial comments. I thought she was a fabulous cat in her own Leoesque way. The downside was she fought with Aqua Kitty all the time because she thought she was the Alpha Cat.

My best pal has two Leos - litter mates. One's a total princess - and absolutely gorgeous. She tends to fight with other cats too. The other is a total "petting pig" which is what we call her - always wanting attention - and very playful. She doesn't fight with my friend's other cats, but she is determined to fight with one of the neighbor's cat.

Gem, do you *generally* not get along with Virgos? My very favorite person in the world is a Gemini, there is sooo much intimacy (platonic of course.) He is cozy to be around, I love him like I've never loved another being. He is like the teddy bear you never want to part with. I do however, have plenty of Libra in my chart to explain my affection I suppose.

Ok back to topic, funny, when I re-read your description of your kitty, I could identify. Course' that was after a bottle of wine LOL. I thought "hey..kinda sounds like me". I want people, places, experiences on my terms!

But one thing you haven't mentioned are his physical attributes. Long hair, short hair? Green eyes Gold, etc.? Hair color, markings, is he verbal, etc. Does he eat the mice or play with them?

Anyway, your kitty seems to have a real survivor mentality. Was he weak when he came to you?

With my ASC in Virgo and moon Pisces, you'd think I'd have better luck with Virgos than I do. The problem is that my rising planet is in Virgo and it's not a Virgo-friendly planet - Pluto. I come on too strong, too forceful for many Virgo Suns, while Virgo moon tend to be Ok with me yet keep their distance. I have had many friendly acquintnces with Virgos, but have had very few close friendships or relationships with them because they seem to find me too "prickly" and aloof (another problem is I have Aqua Mars in my 6th house, which isn't too Virgo friendly either). Some Virgos - the more serious, prudish and dour ones - have found me too childish in their eyes.

Also, my Virgo ASC squared my Sun/Mercury leads to many misunderstandings with people, but especially with Virgos. It's not that I dislike Virgos for their Virgoness - I actually like their more mercurial traits and theit knack for being analytical, even though the touchy earthy side is difficult to handle sometimes. I seem to do better with Virgos who are on the Leo or Libra cusp or have a lot of either sign in their chart.

Anyhow, back to my cat:

OK, he's a big boy, about 13-14 pds, short hair, regular ol' brown tabby with tuxedo white markings (his chest, tummy and paws are white). He looks like he could be very aggressive, even though he isnt at all. His face is very tiger-like (broad, strong, intelligent-looking), he has sturdy, strong legs and broad paws (his front legs are kind of bowed so he walks a little like a bulldog), and he has very expressive yellow-green eyes. He's of thorougly mixed bloodlines - sort of an "alley cat" type like Morris of 9 Lives fame. While he's well filled-out and plump, he's not excessively fatty and actually packs a lot of muscle under his chub. Here's a pic of him: http://home.earthlink.net/~mbois1/atree.jpg

He chats with me regularly and expresses himself verbally readily, but not loudly or harshly (like my Aqua Kitty, bless her demonic part-Siamese soul). He often makes soft cooing sounds or "chirps" (sort like half-grunt, half purr) to get people's attention. If he's looking for me and can't find me, he'll yowl pretty loudly, which is the only time he's loud.

He doesn't eat the mice he catches, but rather brings them home like trophies to impress me and get a treat in exchange.

He wasn't weak at all when he showed up. In fact, one of my neighbors though he was a pregnant female because he was so round. Since he was already fixed and so well-fed I assumed he was a neighbor's cat who was just visiting and seeing what I was serving up at my house. He would stroll into my apartment nonchalantly, eat my cats' food, nap on the futon and then leave after a few hours. But one day he turned up with a nasty abscess on his front leg from a bite from a dog or raccoon (never was sure), and I took him to the vet and kept him inside for a couple days. After that, he pretty much decided I was his preferred human and I would take him inside at night to keep him safe. No one ever came looking for him, and after while I stuck a collar and a tag with my phone number on him, and no one called me about it. He's been mine ever since. So I think he either wandered away from him previous home by choice, got lost, or was dumped (although I can't imagine who'd dump such an adoreable, easy-going cat).

Awww! he's sooo handsome! He's cute enough to be a Libra and he does like food, so ya never know! I think that's a pretty good guess. At first I thought Virgo, cause I had a Virgo cat and she sounded like some of his traits, but she was a very picky eater! Then I thought Aquarius because of the Tomatoes! My Aqua kitty likes canned pineapples, she is very smart but very odd. She used to play with all other cats, but now she only chooses some that she won't fight with. Also she is not friendly with other people, just me and my hubby. So anyhow I think Libra sounds good for your kitty!

Thanks - I think he's quite handsome, but I'm biased.

Yes, my Aqua Kitty's very smart - too smart for her own good. But she's not very graceful (Aqua's are said to be more mental than physical, so they often are a little on the clumsy side) and she's not a good fighter, even though she has had an attitude since the day I found her. She doesn't have weird food preferences, but she's completely obsessed with those crunchy tartar-control treats, like Pounce or Whicker Lickin', and demands them all day. I have to hide the bag carefully, because if she sees where I put the bag, she'll go back when I'm out of the room and attempt to get it (and often she does).

Another thing she does is when she wants something, she'll try to get as close to eye level with me (I am her *equal* - that is very clear LOL) and stare me dead in the eye, like she's trying mind-control on me or something. I sweat I can hear her thoughts sometimes. When she's been injured or sick in the past, instead of hiding or being withdrawn like cats normally do, she came directly to me, yowling impatiently like, "I'm in pain! You're the human here - do something! NOW!!" It's like she can reason things out that other cats can't. She's also drawn to the computer, which intrigues her (unlike my likely-Libra Kitty, who likes the computer because it's something for him to sleep on). She's a strange cat overall. She loves me and is affectionate in her own weird way, but needs her "alone time" too. Most pet horoscopes say Aqua cats are friendly and love people. Ha! I've yet to meet one. Every one I've known or heard about have been one-person cats and very aloof or independent, just like mine.

A Cap? LOL. Hmmmm....

Well, he's just not very Saturnine in behavior. More Venusian, that's clear. I've often wondered if he was a Taurus because of his physical traits - I had a taurus mae cat before, and he was MASSIVE in all directions. He wasn't that terribly friendly to strangers either, a bit too shy and very cuddly to me. This guy's opposite of all that, yet still quite Venusian, so I think I'm going with Libra, leaving open that possiblity that he has some earth in his chart elsewhere.

When I first read this, I was thinking that he must have some Cancer in him. Rising maybe? In your list of 'other things to consider', I got the Cancer feeling but also a little Taurus. This one's a toughie.

hmmmmm........still trying to decide.

I miss my kitty. A Gemini feline, who had the cutest Leo babies.

I have to agree that he probably has some earth in his chart, I read the list and thought, "Wow, he sounds quite a bit like a taurus!" but other things threw me off, like prefering women to men and taking to people immediately and daring. He just seems like like his food and pleasure and the tauruses I know don't fight. Also I read that tauruses sleep like rocks haha!

VTT, yep, I look out my window and can see Equinox Mountain. We're neighbors!!! I moved to VT about six months ago from NH. It's really beautiful around here right now, with all the leaves changing colors. I'm going to post some more pics later.

lovely*, thanks. That was done with just a regular drawing pencil. 2B I think. I loved how they were sleeping all cuddled up like that.

Sorry GN, didnt mean to highjack your string.

I think I'm going to go with Cancer for your cat. (at least, strong Cancerian influences) These two really did it for me:

quote:
He's easily wounded, both his body and his feelings. He's been injured more than most cats I've owned. And he gets upset easily by little things, like moving his pillow, and doesn't take to be being consoled, preferring to go pout alone somewhere.

Thanks guys, but like I said, I've got experience with Taurus and Cancer cats, and he's *not* like them. Those cats tend to be serious homebodies - this guy isn't, preferring to stay outside and do his thing, unless he needs food or a nap. Plus he's a smart one and somewhat detached - my Taurus and Cancer cats weren't smart nor detached (excessively dependant in fact, which me beinga gem found a bit trying at times). So really, fundamentally he most be an air sign in a big way, because he doesn't try my patience like that at all. He more like the Libra cats I've known. Plus you guys are over looking a vital detail: he and I jive exceptionally well. We make great cohabitators. There's few people that I have easy rapport with, and they've always been either Libras or Pisces. So I'm sticking with my gut that's telling me he's Libra. the more I think about it, the more I think that's what he is.

pisces not dependant? say whuh? he looks too masculine for a piscean anyway, so ok I will buy Libra if you insist.

ok, I've got a question. I have a female feline in which I dont know her birth date. I do know she was born Spring Break of 2003. Our dates for Spring Break would have been March 21-30 (including the in-service day and the weekends) Would it be possible, if I did up charts for each one of those days (excluding bith time) to determine which day she was born???? What signs/aspects would I look for?

Shes a tortie (tabby/calico). Shes very vocal when she wants something. Most of the time its to throw her ball, she loves to play fetch with me. Shes very affectionate with me (no one else really) Since day one, shes always cuddled in my hair and slept on it. She gets worked up easy.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Angela

awww Angela your tortie sounds so adorable. I have a Tortie too. Her name is Sassy and we share a birthday...or at least, I think we do. As you can guess, I borrowed my user name from her. So far she hasn't protested the use of her name.

As for trying to figure out the birthdate of your kitty, you might also try looking at what the Moons were on those days. The Moon greatly influences mood and personality, and is a great clue to figuring out someone's birthdate if you can't decide between several potential birthdates.
