i'm a Virgo and have that guilt pretty intensely...sometimes it'll come up in the really bad arguements with my mom (I know I wasn't planned, which only adds to that guilt). I really have no idea why I have this guilt. Only my True Node is in cancer though. Oh wait, also my IC is there too.IP: Logged |

Oh my, what a question AJ! I think you'll need to be more specific. Like, is this guilt due to not feeling productive or not living up to potential, or feeling liek they're not meant for this world, liek a chronic outsider type? Or if they are someone who doesn't feel loved, or feels the world is too hostile or unkind for them, a sense of persecution? There are a number of aspects that can cause guilt. Usually they are opposition and squares, but I am learning that quincunxes can too. Oppositions tend to fuel inner conflicts that produce profound, lingering and sometime vague, undefinable guilt, while squares tend produce guilt related to or spured by specifc events or actions. Quincunxes are what I've coined as a "progressive" aspects, which progressively exerts it influence over a longer time and more subtly, and if this is at the root of guilt, it's more a sense of guilt that mainfests slowly over time and/or after a series of events. Saturn is a common player in these aspects, but also the moon and Venus. Chiron, Juno, Lilith and Vesta are sometimes fingered as culprits, too. Houses sensitive to guilt are 2nd, 4th, 6th, 10th and 12th, and to a lesser extent 8th.

Yeah, Virgo's notorious for guilt. Actually all the earth signs have a peculiar way of "retaining" emotional baggage that helps conjure up guilt. Like something buried in earth, their negative stuff gets embedded and even fossilized and so it sticks around like artifacts at Pompeii. Virgo, the most nervous and easily influenced of the earth signs, is quite bad about it, but all the same, it often finds letting go a bit easier than Taurus or Capricorn. All the earth signs need to work on "purging" negative stuff they retain. Unlike airy people, who can detach themselves from their junk and so it just drifts away in time, earthy peeps have to consciously make an effort to excavate and dispose of their junk.Water types also retain, but can often purge themselves through selfless or loving acts. This is like osmosis for a water type: they purge themselves of bad stuff by filling up with good stuff that pushes out the bad stuff. Another good way of purging for both water and earth types is meditation and prayer. Fire signs are tricky about their baggage: most don't stop long enough to know it's there until it drains them of their fire and they're wallowing in depression or vague, restless feelings. Even then it may take someone else to help them sort out what's going on with them. Once a fire type can see their baggage, they often can readily purge themselves of it, in most cases. IP: Logged |

I wasn't passing judgement - it's simply a matter of people having different temperments. I did mention - in passing - that airy types tend to detch from their baggage and it drifts away. Of course the sounds grand, but in truth it can be a flaw in some cases because it doesn't force the native to reflect much on their stuff before letting go. And of course, a person can be of mixed temperments - like myself, I'm air and water, so some things I can let go of readily and other things haunt me quite profoundly. IP: Logged |

Yes, weird. I mean, because I, being a Taurus sun, Virgo moon, and Cap rising. Find that I am extremely detatched about alot of things. I let go too easily according to others. I think I have a good balance of elements though......I wonder what aspects in my chart contribute to this. *thinking* Uranus conj. MC? Aqua intercepted in the first? Uranus square Mars? ....I really dont know..... IP: Logged |
