OK -

What if a couple has an amazing Composite and Synastry Chart, as well as having influences in their Natal which strongly relates to both Charts. It looks really good on paper, but in practice ...

Maybe someone has had that experience, or something to say about it? The person who knows about the beauty of the Charts is willing to keep working at it, the other doesn't know what they're holding.

Thank you for any and all feedback.

I'm not sure if I totally understand, but my taurus boyfriend and I...I think it is a composite chart I looked at on astro.com for us. (The AstroClick Partner thing). I checked it out a while back and we only had 6 hard aspects, 16 good ones, and I think 4 conjunctions. I really thought this looked really good on paper. Only 6 hard ones to get through!

I don't know if it's those aspects, but a lot of things are making this relationship tough, I'm losing interest, etc etc. There's enough we have in common that make us want to stay together but it feels like it won't last, at least as a relationship at this point.

Mr Aqua and I have Composite Sun in the 5th, which is supposed to favour marriage, fun, good times, etc.
Now my parents also had the same aspect, and they had an equally tempestuous relationship. So therefore I would say: whilst Composite Sun in the 5th could be a good indicator of marriage taking place, it would not necessarily indicate that the marriage would be a successful one. I'm afraid there do (in my humble experience) seem to be money problems with this placement, too.

i know it sounds weird, but i really believe those of us who study astrology - our own charts (and im not just talking reading one's horoscope in the newspaper, either)/other's charts are in possession of special knowledge, knowledge that others aren't often clued into. oftentimes we know ourselves better than other people do. we understand our tendencies and idiosyncrasies and whatnot. we can understand other people's stuff, too, even when they don't so much.

i don't know any tried and true method to make someone aware of the things i know. i've been practicing dropping little bombs here and there, though. like...clueing someone into how much i know about their psyche or make-up, because i've studied their chart. if they're observant, they usually catch it, and they often express surpise that i know so much about them.

ariestiger, mr. taurus and i have the composite sun in 5th too. we're still a new relationship, but we had the marriage discussion and thought about living together...quite some differences there! We also have composite sun square pluto, which is causing huge problems since our life directions are very different, and I think mr. taurus thinks I should be with him while I think I have to figure out stuff on my own.

I've heard that transits to the Composite Chart can greatly affect the relationship. I don't know how valid this is as I've just recently started paying attention to this concept.

do you think it would be good to do a composite with the composite? ive heard this is good to do, to determine how each person is affected. like, create a composite from the natal of each partner with the composite. i havent looked into doing that myself, but ive been meaning to...

not that that would make the other person anymore aware of what's going on. but it might provide a small amount of insight as to what kind of responses they're having to the relationship...no?

Would any one think the following composite qualifies as "looking good on paper"? Seems like this would be a rather passionate, intense match, eh?

Sun Scorpio 21°, 7th
Moon Virgo 17°, 5th
Mercury Scorpio 20°, 7th
Venus Scorpio 27°, 7th
Mars Scorpio 07°, 6th
Jupiter Capricorn 05°, 8th
Saturn Libra 03°, 5/6th
Uranus Virgo 18°, 5th
Neptune Scorpio 20°, 7th
Pluto Virgo 19°, 5th
True Node Scorpio 25°, 7th

ON Astro.com, they do not take into account your own personality and culture.

On paper, I had sun, moon and venus composite 5th house with a Gemini. He was okay, it wasn't love, and he was cheap, on everything. So much for generousity and good times.

Another time I read sixth house sun composite was hard, but I loved two men with this, who I still love and care for.

i totally get where you are coming from A.J. you get yourself hyped up and see things that should predict former lives or great understanding. you feel like you know how they should act based on their chart and you sort of form that picture in your head. then they go and act a totally differant way. or else you DO see soul connections and KNOW they are there based on the synastry but the other person has no idea because they don't study astrology and you feel like you are watching a child and are waiting to see when they "wake up" to it, because you KNOW it is there. you are devoted to the relationship because you see how involved it was and the connections they are clueless about. but they never wake up. and then you are like - but we have this conjunct this and this means this and blah blah blah and it has no effect on them. it's rather annoying. wouldn't you say?

and then there are those relationships in your lives where it looks like crap on paper but it works!

My new guy and I also have our composite sun in the 5th. We have Sun conjunct Venus and Sun trine Asc and Pluto... but also Sun opposition Saturn, and Sun square moon

Probably the best composite chart I have with someone close to me is the one with my best friend... We have six planets in the first house, Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Neptune... but we also have a lot of Saturn squares (Saturn in the 9th).

One time I hadn't talked to him for about 3 months and I was really really yearning to speak with him. I went to bed and I had this most beautiful dream. It was like we were in this paradise next to a lake and a mountain, the colours were deep and beautiful and we were just hugging and talking and my friends were there. I woke up feeling so happy. More than happy, I woke up feeling so whole and loved. Well, a few days later he called me and said "I had this most incredible dream of you a few days ago, we were sitting by a lake and talking and your friends were there"... I was like... WHAAAT??

Well, I think our composite chart is the most positive and, it translates as such in real life too But we've never been involved together, even though the emotional boundaries have been very blurred at times since we've always been attracted to one another. But we married other people! So it wasn't meant to be, and that's ok. I love that he's my friend til the end. I'm such a corny Aquarian, aren't I? LOL.

puppyblew -

Yes, you DO know what I'm saying, within that narrow realm of envisioning a beautiful love, and then the one's that work out although the Charts are sh!tty ...

Still, I cannot push aside the influence astrology has on me in relationships because it does help me understand so many dynamics, both positive & negative. In cases where the positive ones do not get to become fully ripe, it still allows me to appreciate the good things more - instead of totally walking away with bitter feelings. You go, well, we did have THAT such and such Conjunction going for us, and it did teach me some things which I will take with me the next go'round.

Aquarian Girl -

Before I even read the part about him having the same dream, I knew you'd both connected, and I mean BOTH of you connected in that hyper-dimension. It made me happy to know you at least got to hear him say that. Sometimes my (always) vivid dreams include the other person in such a way, that I just KNOW they were thinking of, or dreaming of me too. I'll just KNOW it, but many times, never get to confirm it.

That was nice!

I LOVE corny Aquarians ...

And you know, it's still interesting to look at a beautiful Synastry or Composite and study it to see where the weak points are/were. Sometimes it's not so obvious, or you chose to be oblivious to them because of the rose colored glasses. I still hold out hope that all my ex's will see the light one day, albeit, when I've already moved on. (Notice, how patronizing that sounds - hee hee). And yes, with some I can see myself remaining really good friends for life, but not with all of them. Especially if they were the vindictive type.

Example of what I mean by looking good on paper, a Composite with 5 planets in the 7th House, 4 planets in Libra, 4 planets in the 8th House.

In Synastry - NN Conjunctions, Moon Conj Mars, among other things. Even a switch-off between Venus' & Pluto's - One in Virgo the other in Libra, and vise-versa. Just a lot of good stuff.

Even all the Angles except one are in the same Elements. I mean, it just blows me away!

Oh well ... 'c'est la vie'

OR as we say in America - I PITY THE FOOL !!!

I think I looked it over at the bookstore or the library. Why ? Knowing you, you're gonna tell me something exclusive, aren't you ? Uh!! Even when life hands me something that looks good on paper !!! I still end up far from golden.

I'm gonna go shopping for a nice little beat up grocery cart - I see where my life is going ...

Aquarian Girl, you were so lucky to have that wonderful dream.

I've also had similar dreams like that about people I was in love with. They're such beautiful dreams where I feel like I'm truly connecting with the other person in an astral realm. But having them when estranged from someone can be especially difficult as I wake up from those dreams missing the person even more.

I think Robert Hand is the one who wrote the Composites we get for free on astro.com. I think ...

Thanks lovely* - you'd think I wouldn't have such a problem "landing" a guy, eh?

Anyways, make sure there are no spaces within the entire string. NO SPACES.

And you have to include the entire location where the image is located.

I edited it for you.

Go to that post and click EDIT and look at what part I left, and what I deleted.

I'm not sure how that smilie central site works, but make sure you past the string that starts with http:/ and ends with .gif

Everything else will screw it up.

That was the only problem.
