Why do you think it's boring? Each chart is very complex - you may be overlooking things or not realizing the value of what's there.

I lament over some things, like "Why must my Sun square my ASC?" or "Why must my Saturn be conjunct my Venus?" or "If God wanted me to be a Pluto rising person, why did he put my moon in opposition to it, other than to torture me???" Sure, I have a Pisces moon- I can wallow in self-pity with the best of them. But honestly, I dn't think I'd change things, because I can't change what i dislike without losing what I really like.

I don't really dislike mine, but sometimes I get frustrated with how many hard aspects I see, and sometimes when I read definitions for things and the definitions are very negative and also correspond with things in my life...I guess sometimes I hate the truth that hurts!

Well, for years I delighted in the fact that I was a double Scorp (Sun and Asc) because my mother had told me one birth time. But then I found my extract of birth entry or some other hospital document that had my birth time two hours later and that put me an Asc Libran.

I was shocked at first because I so wanted to be a double Scorp but I can see and now accept the Libran influence.

I'll just have to settle for the other four planets in Scorp instead.

Well I hate that I have all these mechanical aspects because I get obsessed with fixing things myself and scare off men from helping me. Then I am left on my own without help.

Another thing I hate is that my Moon is in Cancer, and it's said I have a good realtionship with my mother, when in fact I can't stand my mother. It's in it's fall in the 8th but still you would think my mother would be halfway decent to talk to, instead she's complete trash.

So there goes that theory.

In theory astrology is a science but in reality it is not, so be patient.

At least you've got friends who care, even if they are a bit strange,

Natasha,

what are the mechanical aspects? I must have them too.

And what is the "men run from me" aspect, lol, because I definitely have that one!!!

I can vouch for not being good at playing the "Oh my ... I dropped my hankerchief" deal with men, (my Taurus Rising?) and let them run circles around me. A long time ago, that used to happen a lot, but it felt so much like it was stunting my growth. Then I'd look around at the old ladies in their family, just getting all out of shape, sit around and do nothing but gossip and wait for their husband's paychecks. It bored me to tears. I RAN !!!

But I think mine is more of overcompensation for being such a true wuss inside. Need to find a happy medium. I'm also mechanically inclined, and love to figure out how things work, love making things, putting tile down, stucco, etc. But I ain't getting any younger, so I must start doing something ... or maybe start doing less ...

My Moon is in Cancer too, and I had a cold mother, and worse, she'd put on a completely different face in front of anyone else - and then I'd be the one looking like the a-hole. Don't know what her problem is, haven't cared for many years. But believe me, I gave it every single drop of forgiveness I could muster before being thrown to the lions. Pure intentions, true effort. My conscious is clear.

If she came to my door today, I'd call the police immediately. Physical harm came much more from my mom, and extremely emotionally damaging. Her everyday actions are not as extreme as Nattie's but the ending is the same. The very thing that makes her rich, make me poor.

Ugly old witch. She reminds me of the witch in Wizard of Oz, riding her bicycle all frantic with nothing but revenge on her mind.

Ta helll with this, I've got to get out of the house - I'm going to go cop some at the gay bar girls ... wanna go to the gay bar with me Nattie?

There's tons more going on with me than I put down - and I don't like to drink much at all -

I think hse was referring to any post-hurricane issues that you may be having to deal with. Maybe?

Yeah, I can dig the crying thing. I wish I could cry right now. I can't sleep, and I'm resisting to urge to self-injure. Crying would be better. So I'm listening to some Elliot Smith over and over, hoping that'll get me to cry. *sigh*

GN, you will cry when you find someone as honest as you. someone who will fill you in...on you... a mirror if you haven'tr already had one. they'll hit a nerve, you will loose it and fall completely crazy goofy in love. oops, wait its already happened hasn't it?

I love your mind!

wanyway, what does that mean to "self injure"?

is that like a profound way to say "i'm gettin' drunk? or is self injuring some sort of mind abuse self-inflicted?

I wouldn't call my horoscope boring........it just plain sucks!!! Saturn conjuncts my sun, venus and mercury in the sixth house.....I'm not an expert on astrology.....but man!!...I know this is really,really,bad.....I bet this is the reason my relations with my girlfriends[three aquarians...my present one is a gemini] doesn't last for more than a couple of years...and my present girl is a sweetheart, she's funny, she laughs a lot.....but somehow I don't see myself spending the rest of my life with her. Or maybe it's just me..............sorry for the long post..but this is really troubling me....Is saturn responsible for this mess?...Some of you guys really know a lot.....please help!!!

Lol this thread is taking interesting turns

What i meant was I think my horoscope is weak. I dont have any interesting or strong signs in my chart - apart from mercury in leo (which I dont think is doing me much good, lol), I have scorp in jupiter (which is generational anyway), vesta in capricorn (whatever that means) and chiron in aries (likewise). All my other signs are pisces, libra, gemini, and boring old virgo and boring old cancer - none of the really feisty ones!!! I have Aqua in mars, which I think sounds cool, but I'm not sure i really feel the effect, whatever that would be.

Cancer is the one i really cant stand - my cancer rising is what i blame for having a suffocating family - especially my mum, who is demanding, emotionally blackmailing and a complete martyr - in a "loving" way of course And me being a virgo/pisces, i always succumb to the guilty feelings and feel bad. Why couldnt i have had a more exciting rising sign, like sagittarius or aquarius? I might have been able to escape!!!

Funny how so many of us have mother issues. Hmmm.... maybe theres something in all of our charts?

Anyway, sorry guys, just wanted to have a moan really.

Is it possible to look at your horoscope and fight against the traits? Is it part of your evolution as a person/soul to do this, or are you not being true to your real self of you do this? I mean, if something is in your "blueprint", is that just what you are meant to be?

Then again, if you didnt know your horscope and continued living your life on impulse (like most people do), would that be your true self? And would the horoscope be something that hinders you? i.e. if I fought against my cancer rising and simply left my family and went off travelling, will I be doing the right thing? Or will it bring bad luck?

Moonshine pls don't think your chart's boring. Everyone is different. The aspects or traits you see as boring may be seen as amazing from another point of view.

I don't think there are two people in this world (and that includes twins) who are completely alike and that makes you unique.I actually know two twins who were born 10 min apart and surprisingly they're pretty different personality wise.

"Is it possible to look at your horoscope and fight against the traits?"

I think it's always good to fight against the bad traits you see in yourself, whether or not they're in your chart/horoscope. That's part of growing on both a physical and spiritual level. One thing you probably shouldn't do is convince yourself you have a certain trait BECAUSE it's in your chart. Aspects aren't always set in stone.

"If something is in your "blueprint", is that just what you are meant to be?"

No way . You're a lot more than a blue print.

"if I fought against my cancer rising and simply left my family and went off travelling, will I be doing the right thing? Or will it bring bad luck?"

I don't think you should base major life decisions on your horoscope. Do what you feel is right. Take the horoscope side of it as more of a guideline and do what you honestly feel is best for you at this point in time. And yes you should stay true to yourself but remember the fact that YOU, yourself aren't just a pile up of star signs and aspects and there's no other person in the world just like you.

PS That's not to undermine star signs. I still think star signs are a really good guide line into understanding yourself and others; I just think it's important to remember that there is more to IT (life, love, personality, decisions) than that.

This is from http://www.astrofaces.com/astrofaces in "statistics"

There are 123 (1728) combinations of Sun, Moon & Ascendant.

There are currently approximately 6.000.000.000 humans on earth.

Thus, approximately 3.470.000 people share the same Sun, Moon and Ascendant.

Approximately 290.000 people share the same Sun, Moon, Asc and Mercury.

Approximately 24.000 people share the same Sun, Moon, Asc, Mercury and Venus.

Approximately 2000 people share the same Sun, Moon, Asc, Mercury, Venus & Mars.

So there's prolly only about 2000 other ppl with YOUR chart. Out of 6 billion ppl, that's a small percentage. Add to that familly, friends, upbringing, the diff circumstances life puts you in and I'm pretty sure those 2000 ppl, though similar in some ways, would also be very diff in others.

So, if a chart was just a blue print that you HAVE to live by, then 2000 other ppl would BE you and live your life, and THAT is impossible.

Round of applause Aries Chick - well said.

Moonshine - you may feel that your chart is loaded with 'boring' and 'difficult' stuff when you read it, and thats fine if you can draw the line, but the really important thing is that you and your life isnt 'boring' and 'difficult' - and Im sure you are not either of those things and if your life is then you have the power to change it.

moonshine -

But on the other hand, don't knock yourself out trying to "fix" yourself, if that's the way you're going to think of it, because if you start spinning your wheels and exhausting yourself, you'll be left with a feeling of guilt and failure. Try to learn about yourself astrologically so that you can understand the positive things your Chart has. Don't try to act like an Aries if that's not your character ...

Thank you! You guys talk sense. I just felt disappointed when reading my horoscope, that all the things I dislike about myself and my life are in there - like its set in stone, you know? It just gave me a sinking disheartening feeling.

Anway, Ive started taking part in the astrology course so I hope to gain a better understanding of this astrology thing that we all love! wish me luck! Monika XXXXX
