Topic: attracting manipulative/abusive partners

What aspects in someone's chart would make them attract emotionally abusive or manipulative partners? I thought of looking at Venus for this, however after reading my own aspects (FOUR SQUARES!) I have a feeling maybe that stuff is also elsewhere in my chart. Sun Square Neptune seems to make me emotionally vulnerable, Moon in 1st house may allow people take advantage of me...one of my Venus squares, Moon Square Venus blantantly says I could be easily taken advantage of and manipulated by others. Is there anything else to look at? Would a hard Mars aspect maybe signify actual emotional/verbal abuse from partners?IP: Logged |

I was just wondering more or less what is in a personal chart to attract these types of people as I see it more as a pattern than a current relationship thing. IP: Logged |

Hey VTT hon, 
Ive always found anyone with a strong Piscean influence to attract manipulative, unkind people because Pisceans are generally open, defenceless, sweet people, and I think aggressive people pick up on this...  sadly, cos they dont deserve it.
Also, not astrologically speaking, adults who had childhoods in which they were suppressed and not allowed to be 'themselves' by their dominating parents, attract similar partners.
Just what Ive observed.....

Also look for a Mars-Neptune personal aspect (especially a Conjunction) as Neptune can dissolve the aggressiveness of Mars and make it weaker. IP: Logged |

I go with Neptune square Sun, because I have Neptune opp Sun and I speak from experience. There is nothing wrong with being gullible, as long as you are around like minded people. If you feel someone is manipulative in the least, get away, without considering the reason.That is the only way to live-to be among like minded people. I have a few friends with Nept square sun, and they have been great for me. So it just depends on how much faith you have in your friends. your friends are all important, I believe.
My moon is also square venus but that's not so bad, depending on how tight the square is, after all JFK had this aspect.
You will strive for popularity and recognition and get it. I see the Neptune aspect as wise later in life. you may marry and divorce, but your friends, again, will last a long time. Aquas, Aries, make good friends because they do not lie well, look for placements/aspects that are truthful. Natasha
