I had this neat class tonight about happiness, and it dealt with the very basics of moon and venus. The instructor, rather than telling us what the planets mean in the signs and houses, told us what our goals should be and what to beware of.

Anyway, looking further into these 2 planets in my chart, freaky...

My moon is in the first house, making it quite strong. It's also in it's sign of exaltation (Taurus). Moon also trines my Sun in Virgo, and is conjunct my chiron (also in taurus). Wouldn't this make my Moon really strong in my chart?

Then I look at my 5th house venus in Virgo. Venus is in it's fall in Virgo. It is also squaring my moon. It also squares my Mars, Uranus, and Chiron, but trines my Asc and Neptune.

So does this look like my Moon is very strong, yet my Venus is very weak?

They should trine each other. Both being earth signs.

Unless one is at the very begining of one sign and the other is at the very end?? I think.

Hey baby! Your Moon's on my Sun! (26degrees)

I would say your moon may be a stronger force. Especially since it's in the first and in Taurus (exaltation).

I found a class at an arts center near where I live. The astrologer is so neat! She's a witty, fun, caring, insightful Cancer with Gemini Moon and Libra rising. My first class in Astro ever! Met some very cool people, and we're all trying to decide when to have the 6 week intro courses.

26t, that is so freaky! And so coool

I forgot that Venus rules my chart, but to me with all the squares and falling it just looks like poo to me I love that strong moon though.

VTT - that it's in an earth like your moon does take some of the pressure of an orb square with your moon off of it. Some older systems, like the Greeks, would have called that a trine simply because the signs areint eh same elements (they cared more about elements than some contemporary astrolgoers, and I think they probably had a very good point there ).

Also, if your Sun's in the same saign as your Venus, regardless to it being an orb conjunction or not, will make it more Virgoey. But depending how far away it is from your Sun may affect it also - of course within 10 degrees, its in conjunction and that strengthens it much more. (BTW, some people talk about planets being combust or under the Sun's beams, meaning they are certain degrees from the Sun, and that is said to weaken them - however, this doesn't really apply to natal astrology, but more with transits. In this cases, the Sun should be helping out your Venus.)

Your Venus is afflicted by those other squares - and the receptive personal planets, moon and Virgo, are most stressed by afflicting aspects. But you can learn to work with these in time. That square with Chiron might not be as bad as it looks - this might be a revelatory aspect for you, forcing you to look at how you seek reltionships to fulfill deep psychological needs that perhaps relationships alone cannot. The square with Mars will mean your egodrives will often conflict with your emotional temeperment and inner needs, and this will challenge you to be more self aware and keep your priorities and ambition/ego in check. That square with Uranus may be bigger trouble, especially if Uranus is conjunct Mars in your chrat - this will make your sense of what you *need* conflict with your sense of what you *want* a lot more and in very erratic ways. partners may get fristrated with you because you seem to be putting out cnflicted messages or changing you mind/attitude about what you want from them. Be patient with yourself, focus on good communication - something your Virgo Venus is good at - in your relationships (regardless to them being romantic or not), and accept that Uranian energy and influence takes time to "get the hang of." There's hope for this.

I'm assuming you Venus is in either the 5th or 4th house, and both are good houses for venus, regardless to sign. But that will help too. 5th house encourages expression, and since Virgo Venus is good at communicating yet sometimes hold back on the full expression of emotion and needs, this can be very helpful. 4th house will help you focus on your needs vs. your impulsive desires, helping you manage those Mars and Uranus squares.

being inthe fall isn't as bad as it seems - it just mean you need to be aware of its weakness and learn to work with them and around them. That your other receptive persoanl planet (moon) is exalted may help with this - you can rely on your moon to overcome your Venus' weaknesses. So, yeh, overall, your moon's proabbly stronger in your chart than your Venus, but that doesn't mean your Venus is just hopleless - get in need of a little help and supprt.
