I was outside having a smoke and hubby and I were talking.He told me, "Ya know, you can tell what you're thinking before you even open your mouth." I was like, "huh?"  He explained that my face is very expressive. Generally you can tell my thoughts by the look on my face. So... I wondered... Can this be tied to Astrology? Are there influences that make for facially expressive people? IP: Logged |

I have heard that Mercury and the Mercury-ruled signs of Gemini and Virgo are the most expressive of all. IP: Logged |

I've read before that my taurus in either moon or virgo makes me rather expressive emotionally, and everyone I've ever known can read how I feel on my face without me saying anything. I hate that! I cannot ever conceal my feelings. IP: Logged |

Just so's ya' know....
I know Scorpios are supposed to have stone faces, etc.. but I wear my heart on my sleeve alot of the time.. I also wear my feelings on my face.
It makes me quite unphotogenic, as I am always contorted somehow, as soon as a camera comes out.. I feel the need to 'pose' so no bad angles come out.. One time, my friend spontaneously took my digital pic, I had my head thrown back in conversation, and it looked like I was mid-orgasm. I was quite embarassed by that pic. * although, he is the kinda' friend I'd love to show the real face to  *He's On my if-I-were-single-list.
Anyway.. I don't know what influences.. as we have very different charts, mostly....

One thing that has been noted for expressiveness is where you Venus is in relation to your Sun. If it preceeds your Sun (that is, counterwise, so it's to the left of your Sun), it's a Morning Star Venus, and that is said to indicate someone who is more expresive emotionally, letting their feeligns show more readily and live more by their emotions. Evening Star Venus is right of the Sun, and it's thought indicate someone more reserved emotionally and less expressive. I have Evening Star Venus and it's hard for people to read me. I've had people say *they* think I have an expressive face, but they almost always read me wrong. IP: Logged |

I gots me one of them there evenin' star Venuses .. it's in Sagittarius so maybe that helps expression *Conjunct Neptune*

People (many, many people) have said that I'm an easy read...
All I know is that I don't know that I'm making most of the faces that people attribute to me (which, like pixelp, has made for quite a few "interesting" photos).Looking at my chart, the only thing that seems to point to that is my 3rd House Moon...perhaps? IP: Logged |

gemini nymph ~so, if my venus is in my 2nd house and my sun is in my 4th house i have a morning star venus? if so then that may explain why i show my emotions on my face as well. i was just thinking about this. that why if i have a cappy ascendant does my face show everything? i just wish i was a scorp! seriously, i wish i could just wear a mask. i can't even look at people. i know they will know what i'm thinking. i think that a virgo moon is an emotional position as well. i think they get worked up easily. I'm thinking, really good actors who are very good at physical expression, like Nicole Kidman, Gemini Sag Mooner.I've been told countless times I'm expressive - Moon in Cancer in the 3rd? Any planets in the 3rd House? IP: Logged |

Thanks for that tid-bit, Gemini Nymph!I have Venus in Capricorn in my 10th house, and I feel like I live by my emotions, but I have been told that I seem reserved and am hard to understand by my facial expressions. I guess that may also be from having Uranus in Scorpio in my 8th... a lot of people don't know what's going on with me, even when they see me everyday. I think I keep these things inside to spare peoples feelings or negative reactions, so I always have a cheery seeming, sunny disposition. But if they only knew, you know? That would make sense when I'm in one of my agressive moods, my ''look at me!! I'm the center of attention!! woo hoo!'' Which, of course, would be having Aries ascending. Ahhh!! I just had a revelation! That may be why I am so crap at fine tuning things... I'm so freaking fly-by-the-seat-of-my-trousers, it's just ridiculous. Doh! i have gemini rising too!!
some people say there is a topic called mind reading they can actually really know what's going on in ur mind even if u r not going to say that.this the incident which happened with me.i and my cousin sis were out ,and then we dicided to have a pastry,we were just choosing when this man says 'now meghna(that;s my sis) wants to have a half pastry,we were really surpried at this,caz she really wanted to'.

I think that that's what does it - not the Aqua part (if anything, I overintellectualize my emotions), but the 3rd House part.

I'm intentionally hard to read. I've been told that many times. I prefer to keep my cards close to my chest at all times. "You're cool as a cucumber"
"W****, you're just sooo cool!" - almost unflappable, by design. Don't like a-holes to know that they're getting to me, nor do I like to stress other people out by being obviously upset, disappointed in them, hurt, etc - whethor by intentional acts of a-hole-ism, or simple character flaws/weaknesses of others. I don't want them to think I'm judging them one way or another. (perhaps I am, but they don't need to know the verdict) I am extrordinarily even-tempered. Almost like I've had a labotamy - at least as far as outward appearences go. The only emotions I allow my face to reveal are positive ones. Anything else, I keep to myself. (all the better to plot my revenge - they never see it coming.... heh heh... j/k ) Sociopath? Maybe...but I care an awful lot about my fellow man, and I'm always aware of how my words, actions, and facial expressions effect others. Generally, I think I'm like this because I don't care much for personal conflict whatsoever. In my experience, it's nothing more than an unproductive waste of time, at least 95% of the time. Some people are just a-holes. What can you do? You can't choke them all, now can you? All you really can do is control your responses to them. Also, I've got sun, Merc and Mars in the 8th house, Scorpio's natural home, and an Aqua moon, the sign of detachment, in my second house, house of values. Neptune near the ascendant probably helps to keep a veil over the 'real deal' going on under the surface. This is an interesting subject, because I'm notorious for being 'poker faced', or even pleasant in the face of conflict and adversity. IP: Logged |

To me facial expression is kind of like body
language. I can read body language like I can read a book or a news paper. So when you tell me something you better be true to your word cuz I am checking through your body language...

I have a very expressive face, although when I need to the Scorp kicks in and I can be stoney faced if need be. I can control almost completely what emotions my face expresses if I want to. I can even cry at will by thinking of certain things and concentrating. Good for me that I detest crying in front of people/in public, so I don't use that ability for "evil"  However I do have several planets in the 5th house (Venus/Neptune/Jupiter); I've read that makes for great actors.
