WARNING *LONG POST / THINKING OUT LOUD*

Someone in the Gem or Sag thread mentioned that gems get easily depressed, and I find that I do.

According to Astro.com I should be having a great phase at the moment, with lots of energy and vigour. I just feel rundown and tired though, and I'm not feeling up to making a very important decision (which according to astro.com will come to a head anyways in January!)

I'm just finishing up my schooling here in Germany--where I work full days, do night school and then get a degree for my job. My exam is next Wednesday and I'm very worried about it, as (typical Gemini! agh!!) I haven't done all that much studying for it. I'm catching up, but getting nervous.

Anyways, after my exam is written and the oral exam in January is passed, my job here technically ends. I really love it here, but my boss hasn't yet mentioned keeping me on. So I'm looking at what the market is offering in my area, but it's not much. I would like to have my own agency, but I know a) I don't have enough experience yet and b) I need someone to be my backbone in a business--someone to help me stay on course. Haven't found this person yet.

So, I think I'm depressed because I don't know what I want to do/should do. I think I would like to work half days, as I have an 8 year old son and would really love to spend more time at home. OTOH, being an event manager, you can't just work 4 hours a day and stay on top of the work. Everything is so fast moving, decisions often need to be made within the hour, proposals have to be sent out the next day, a week before a congress starts you could work around the clock with all the name changes to flights, hotel room changes, this guy's sick, the technician forgot the congress and has booked out to another event, the client wants to know what colour the gerberas in the vase are...(true story! lol)

Plus then I'm at the events 1-2 times a month, away for 4-6 days at a time.

Cool work for a gemini, and I really love my work, and NEED to work (mars and jupiter in aries in the 6th). BUT...

*sigh* Does anyone here have any good advice for me? I'll take ANY advice lol. (Wallowing in self-pity here) No one seems to really care what I end up doing after studying this long (2.5 years). Not even my mom wanted to help me out of this one, she basically told me to either work or don't...lol

Ok, time to get back to work now. Enough wallowing...

Thanks for listening,
Nackie

I wsh I had an easy answer for you Nackie, but really, if you want to spend more time at home, somethings got to give if you can't do your current job full-time. What else will you be qualified for with your degree? An event manager sounds like a GREAT job for a Gemini, I would imagine anything to do with writing, communications, creativity and people would be fabulous for you.

Could you possibly be an assistant event manager and maybe freelance with your expertise or writing so you can work from home and be with your son?

Nackie, is transiting Pluto in Sag opposing your sun?

A dear one to me has Sun, Mars and Venus all in conjunction in Gemini. Pluto is still opposing his Mars, which of course affects the other two planets. Of course, if I recall correctly, he's also facing a square to his natal saturn from transiting Saturn.

Anyway, check Pluto and see what's shaking there.

I wish you well. I've been a bit blue lately too, which I attribute to the Saturn Rx squaring my sun again

Hi Trillian!

Yes, just checked, Pluto is opposing my sun. How far would this make me blue? A new "ego" being born and the old one dying? Sorry, not really creative today... Btw, Pluto is in a dead-on conjunction with my mercury (which conjuncts the sun)...

I'll be interested in reading your reply! Hope you're feeling better soon.

Love,
Nackie

Nackie, I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to reply.

Now, my astrology skills are minimal, but whenever you have a major transit from Pluto affecting your chart, especially the 'more difficult' oppositions and squares, I would surmise that you would experience the sort of agitation of which you spoke. Pluto is changes, big changes. Pluto is regenerative, but not before it plows through things. And hey, sometimes that feels damn good, to have everything changed and eventually renewed.

I would say that your current confusion can be linked to the Pluto stuff...so ride through it. It's offering you a chance to be the Phoenix from the ashes. You know that one part of your life is ending/dying (PLUTO!), so take care with your new, reborn life (also Pluto!). With Pluto opposing your sun, well goodness, that's your very center. Take a look at the houses, too.

I wish I could be more specific for you but I'm just not that good!

I remember lalalinda giving a couple of examples Pluto crossing the Ascendant. One was Christopher Reeve, when he had his accident. Now as awful as that seemed to be, who are we to say that wasn't the most important karma of his life?

Now, I don't think Pluto is always so literally, physically devastating, but I do think it means some changes are coming.

I hope some others here can give you more specific help.

Nackie, I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles.
first is first - financially - can you afford to be a stay-at-home mom?

If you can, maybe, you then should take your time, poll your friends and family and see what they have to say.

Can you get imvolved with your kid's school on some level? That might give your more time with him and I'm sure the school can benefit from your education and experience.

I'm sure it is really hard to go down in the career ladder and work a job for which you are overqualified (sales representative, waiting on tables, etc.) Maybe those jobs are out of the question for you. How about volunteering then?
Again it all depends on your financial state.

Tons of huggles.
