Hi Everyone!! I would love to understand the significance of singleton planets in my/any chart...

Does it have to do with the houses as well?? Air, earth, water or fire? Help!! I'm perplexed...(read-I just don't know! LOL!!)

THANK YOU!! Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hi GemStar,

I am not an expert at this so you might want to get a second opinion but here is what I found to be your singletons:

1. Gemini - only Air sign
2. Cancer - only Cardinal sign
3. Pisces - Saturn in Pisces is the only planet you have on the bottom half of your chart.

I hope this makes sense. May the expert correct me if I am wrong; as I am still learning. Thank you.

here's a good article:
http://www.astrologyclub.org/

just click on 'introduction to singletons'

it has good info. there are different kinds, i think the 2 most commonly mentioned are elemental (fire, earth, water, air) or modal (cardinal, mutable, fixed). then there are a couple kinda of others, which the article discusses, so check it out.

I also have Neptune in my First so I have TWO in my lower half...Thanks Miss Muffett!

Neptune in Pisces-1st

Saturn in Cancer-5th

These are the two that I am thinking are my singletons....but an mot sure which would have the greatest influence per the idea that singletons have the greatest influence on overall chart...????

Dear C-Thanks for the link, I will read that article as well!

Hi GemStar,

How could I have missed it... lol. Sorry.

Here is the deal, you can still possibly have those two as singletons as they are both on their own in their quadrant.

I could be wrong on this but I also have Neptune in Scorpio on the 1st. The next houses are empty until the fifth house. I was told that I have Neptune as singleton because it is the only one in its quadrant.

In your case, you will have both Saturn in Pisces and Neptune in Scorpio as singletons as well because they are both on their own in their respective quadrants.

What will be interesting is that Neptune on the 1st house will mean that you embodies a lot of the Pisces traits. To top it all, you also have Saturn in Pisces as a Singleton. That would pretty much mean that you would be a lot like Pisces than the usual Geminian.

Does it make any sense at all? If not, I'll just shut up and let the experts take over.

Gah. Henry VIII and I both only have one singleton: the Sun. And both of ours are in the 10th house. Good thing he wasn't a Pisces, or else I would be really afraid that I would end up having a million husbands, chopping all of their heads off, and making my own religion O_O.

Heh, astrology's fun.

Hiya Gem and every1

Do you think it's possible a singleton planet would make you come accross more like the sign it's in? Like for instance I have Pluto in Scorpio twice a singleton (possibly 3 times a singleton) in the 5th (and its opposed 2 venus and trined 2 my asc). Ppl tend to guess my sign as Scorpio, till they get to know me.

PS Pluto signleton description in Astroclub kinda scared me though

Hiya aries-chick!

A question: How do you have Scorp in 5th as three times singleton?? I thought it can only be once....?? I'm confuzzled!!

Do you count the aspects as well??

The article in astroclub was a bit scary...the example for my singleton in the first was Ca-Reepy!! Yikes....

Miss Muffett....Since you also have Neptune in Scorpio in the 1st house, do you believe you display Piscean traits??

For myself, I would tend to be more Scorpian overall (ASC)...but have a clear understanding of Pisces...maybe because of the Neptune in 1st? I dunno...

I am still wanting a clearer grasp on the subject...singletons sound cool but I am not sure they are good things...or just one more way to alter the overall reading of a chart.
Hmmmmmm....

Hiiii

The reason why I said it's three times a singleton is cause a planet can be a singleton in any of these areas:

Polarity: (Positive/Negative or Yang/Yin)

Modality: (Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable)

Element: (Fire, Air, Water, Earth)

Orientation by Sign: Personal, Social and Universal

Orientation by House: Personal, Social and Universal

1.Pluto is the only planet I have in the Social signs (Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio)

2. Its the only planet in my Personal houses

and I said possibly 3, cause (apart from venus which could either be at 29 degrees aries or 00 degrees taurus) it is the only fixed sign in my chart.

Henry the 8th, sun singleton? That explains my ex Gemini boyfriend! Sun singleton in Gemini/4th house, disposed of women the same way. In love, out of love, boom boom.

Really scary sometimes, I was the Anne Boleyn character. Change is not easy for him.
