I think you attract certain signs at different times at your life stage in order for you to grow spiritually but at the same time, your family is with you as they generally have to be no matter what thier sign is or thier relationship.
Also I think certain cities attract certain signs more than others.
Hopes that helps!

If I remember correctly there was some discussion on this a while ago, but aside from any astrological stats, I can confidently say Valentines on the north american calendar is a popular day of conception. Look for other major trends such as people getting pregnant on purpose a couple of weeks after 9.11 due to the Fight or Flight mechamisms kicking in.

i always thought there were a bunch or libras in the world. i know alot.
one day i went back to figure out when my libra ex was concieved (yeah, i'm sick) and found that it was on new years eve!

i have two libra cousin who are brother and sister and were born years apart, but one week apart, day wise.
so, you know that their parents like to um.. celebrate on new years eve.

hahaha

so, yeah... i'd look at holidays and major world events.

remember that big black out that happened in the northeast awhile back?

Hmm...so let's see here...

New Year's Eve - lots of Libras
Valentines Day - more Libras or some Scorpios?
Blackout of NYC in August - lots of Taureans or Geminis?
9/11 - more Geminis
X-mas (haha i dunno if people have lots of sex on x-mas but hey why not) - more Libras!

Oops I read your question wrong-damn me!
Well I wouldn't know what signs are common but I would have to say Geminis! because not only are they twins, but I know alot of Geminis out there more than other signs!
