so, i know that gemini is astrologically predisposed to be articulate......i have my venus and mercury in gemini, but i am soo inarticulate. i just have big troubles expressing my feelings in the best way possible...leaving me frustrated cos i'm thinking 'thats not exactly what i meant' after years of not talking, now I love to talk and communicate, but I wanna do it beautifully or not at all; i wanna exspress myself to the utmost in as few words as possible.... you know? I'd say your merc opp neptune is the source of the problem. Your sun opp moon might give you problems as well, espcially in expressing yourself emotionally. You do have a pluto trine to your mercury, giving your words power, emotional force, and influence, but the neptune gets in there and mucks things up. With neptune influencing your speech/thoughts, its often hard for you to understand what you're trying to say, as well as others. This aspect is known for miscommunications. Try writing down your thoughts first if you have something really important to say. Your pluto trine can counter your neptune opposition, you simply have to organize your thoughts in advance. Pluto will add a piercing and focused quality if you allow it to. BTW I love your venus aspects they're really gorgeous, you must have great friendships, and have a lot of stable reliable people around. IP: Logged |

Neptune trine or conjunct Mercury make you a smooth talker, the opposition is not so smooth, but you have to try harder. More people hear you, LATER in life, remember we work out oppositons and squares that way.Natasha

I agree with BR. and Natasha, that is interesting. i'm surprised I have never heard that about working out squares and oppositions-LATER in life. Makes sense.Moonbaby, Another thing to note on an energetic level is your Mars Libra. I have this placement also and it tends to make the native a little lazy. IP: Logged |

it is true that I am a force to be reckoned with when I speak about something I am passionate about, but if not, i do get a little lazy with my thoughts and just cant be bothered....and then my words dont flow....so the moral of the story is nly open my mouth when I have something to say oh, good venus aspects hey? yea I do have good friendships. i have always been lucky when it comes to meeting people, cos I seem to attract amazing people who are interesting and have things going on; they choose me cos I'm easy with anyone...must be that pesky mars in libra...aaarrrgghh sthenri...why am i heard more LATER in life? do any of yous have this problem.... ? moonbaby, I completey know, understand and empathise with you. I have similar placements, and all my life I've been the 'quiet one' I find the best rememdy is that only open your mouth when you've got something to say, although you have already found that out, it's easier to say than do.I too am only heard more Later in life, hmmm, I also would like to know why that is. When I read your first post on this thread, It was like a mirror reflecting exactly what I go through. I find I want to appear intellegent, and articulate, but if I put my mind to it I have the ability, but I have a dominant lazy placement in my chart so I really have to be in the mood. Or if I communicate in a lazy way I become quite resentful, and end up feeling like a complete dag. ------------------ Namaste, Daphne

Hmmm...I know a lot of Gemini's and they may have the gift of gab, but when it comes to talking about "feelings", they shy away... Seems that they can't put words in where feelings are concerned. They would rather talk about anything else under the sun. Miss Muffet IP: Logged |

yea, a lot of gems i know love to talk 'deeply', as it were...but say it has to be bought out of them. and i find they are always willing to listen to such topics of conversation.so, they are really not that flighty afterall neostar...its like, you dont know whetehr you wanna be the quiet one, or the gregarious one right? cos to be honest, i am drawn to people who are quiet and have 'mystery' more than the ones who are loud...i am naturally more at ease and peace with myself when I am quiet but then I feel that maybe Im boring so I have to speak...

... plus all the Charts which can contain a strong Mercury/3rd House/Gemini influence or theme ...This can come about by Aspects alone ... right? IP: Logged |

My Cancer mother has the gift of gab......though it's not a gift to most of us with ears. I have literally put the phone down, gone off for a few minutes to do a couple of things and come back and she was still talking up a storm. Never knowing I was gone. It's bad - not to mention annoying. She never fails at running out the tape of an answering machine - ALWAYS. Just babbling on........and on and on and on and on and on...........and on and on..... My friends hated calling the house when I was a teenager because they knew if she answered they wouldnt be able to get off the phone. We'd go to the grocery store - or anywhere for that matter, when I was younger and she would always see at least one person she knew and would talk that person's ear off (and we didnt live in a small town). I've got to take a closer look at her chart now. But I've figured out the main culprit...... Sun conjunct Mercury. A one degree orb, in the seventh house. Then there's me. I have Mercury in Taurus in the third house. In a mutual reception with Venus in Gemini in the fifth. You'd think I'd be a talker wouldnt you? Nope, I'm not. Maybe it's because my Merc's in Taurus. But it's in the third house so that shouldnt matter. I believe it's because I have CHIRON conjunct Mercury. Chiron shows your wound. In the third and conjunct Mercury tells alot. All my life I've been asked "Why are you so quiet?" Of course with people I know well and am comfortable with, I'm not that "shy" or quiet. But even in general, I dont have alot to say for the most part. I think it's a Taurus thing. .....or maybe it has to do with growing up with a mother who never shut up. I learned to just sit there and tune her out. IP: Logged |

Gloria, you always have the gift of the gab!26T-I have the same aspect with Mercury and maybe you project that talkative quality on to others. Except that I do talk a lot for work, even if I wish I didn't. By the end of the night I'm hoarse. As for babbling, try Gemini Ascendant conjunct Uranus, that woman talked for hours non stop to anyone. And my ex with Gemini Moon conjunct Ascendant can really talk. I have walked out of the room on him many times. He still calls to tell me I used to do that! Natasha

"I have literally put the phone down, gone off for a few minutes to do a couple of things and come back and she was still talking up a storm..." I know an older lady like that, very Piscean and smart as a whip. Her husband died a long time ago. Another reason reminding me why marriage scares me - Married for 12 years, but a widow for 40. But, no disrespect because even she would laugh at herself over this, with total delight, as a matter of fact. She was into Science of Mind too, way back when no one heard of it. She used to walk with her mother down the New York street to eat at THE original Stouffer's before they even went "frozen". THAT type of lady. But you could literally put the phone down for one hour ... come back ... she's still talking and happy as can be. IP: Logged |

OMG AJ.Youve gone into some weird time warp and met the future version of my mother ..... ....God help me. I can only imagine how she'll be when she's an old lady. *gasps* But yeah, you know.....my mom can laugh at herself about it too. The wierd part she has read Science of Mind too. (I gave her one of those books.) She's actually a pretty neat lady - way ahead of her time. ......just LOVES to talk. .......there's worse things to be though....right? "blah, blah, blah.....blahblah..." IP: Logged |

LOL!OMG "Broadway"?? She has always dreamt of becoming an actress or a singer. Even now, still, she talks about taking singing lessons. There was always music blaring in our house growing up. And my mother singing at the top of her lungs. Mostly Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin.....James Taylor, Paul Simon.....who else??....cant remember. She LOVES to sing. She's on the Leo cusp. If you know what I mean. No one would ever label her "shy". .....looking a little closer here, she's got Uranus and Pluto in Leo......Uranus conjunct that Mercury and Sun. Yeah moonbaby, "addicting" is right, I guess. I tell her that I think she just likes to hear her own voice. lol IP: Logged |

ROTFLyou guys crack me up!! I have a natal retrograde Merc conj sun in Gemini...ouch! I really notice it on places like this though--what I THINK I'm saying (if I say anything--a lot of times I don't think I have anything interesting to add) and what it comes across as--two totally different pairs of shoes here! At home I talk and talk...our poor au pair...she's always trying to get a word in edgewise...she's a virgo, so likes to talk, too. Of course, I talk faster, so I win lol Nackie IP: Logged | |
