Hi there everyone!

Is the following possible?

Could there be one dominant chart that may influence an event?
Let me give you an example:

A couple has a child!
You take the father's, the mother's and the newborn's charts and you combine them together to get one BIG chart.
This chart could tell you how the relationship of the three will be, in a bigger picture sense, rather than each individual relationship based only on two charts? THus one can only need to look at the combined chart to see what is happening betwen the three. Am I making myself clear?

Is it at all possible, and if not do you think it will be in the future when we are more advanced?
Just curious!

I THINK I know what you mean, but not sure how to make a "midpoint" from 3 people.

Sorry to be a dumba**, but what's a MIDPOINT? I am still learning astro after all these years! Maybe I can work out a midpoint for what I asked?
Thank you AJ

I did that only difference from the example you gave is that I have 4 to consider. I, personally, think that it does the same as a composite for 2. A composite chart only finds the midpoints between given places, times and, dates right? I am, only barely, touching a real understanding of astrology interpretations so, I do a lot of experiments with my family's charts and significant dates. I understand a Midpoint to be the calculated half way between 2 of the same planet from 2 differrent charts,.... although, I am having a problem with the way that desciption comes off....? Here's an example from a chart using my Hubby and I, we call it Librani, and yes, we do reference it when doing transits, progressions, etc. and it has yet to do any less than what our seperate natal charts do for us at the individual level,.... I'll explain that more if anyone should be curious.... Librani's example:

Sun is in Aquarius at 14*13' 23" this should be halfway between his natal Sun and mine:

His natal Sun is in Libra 23*45' 04"

My natal Sun is in Gemini 02*05' 00"

Anyone know how to calculate it...? Go to that one site, they do it, and you get to see a picture too!! I am still ssoooo computer illiterate, so, I don't know if giving that site is ok. You have dicussed it on other threads though.... anyway, there is a page where you can select from various kinds of charts. With Librani, we used the Davidson corrected, because it is done and expresses actual planetary placements ( still confused about that part ) and, this is why it can be used just like any birth chart. It shows the Alchemy of energies together, the way we ' vibrate ' individually creates a whole seperate vibration upon the interaction with any other individual. Yet each new and seperate creation is unique to the specific individuals involved.... you can't expect to ' replace ' with the same results,.... you can't clone it. With regard to the Midpoints, I also understand them to be ' sensitive ' points in any chart. Meaning that, if aspected thru transit or progressions, they will be unique personal triggers...? I hope someone can get through this with some understanding, and insight if I am misguided in any of it!!!

OK --

I'd say a midpoint is the "middle point" between two variables. However, when dealing with astrology, there are a few whacky ways of sorting it all out.

Midpoints are even referred to just within one's own Natal, and now that you're aware of these terms, you will probably see them pop out at you with greater ease, as you read and study more.

When it comes to the midpoint method used in "Composite's" - the jury is just as much out on that as it is towards which House System to use.

Just seems like it becomes a preference each person gravitates towards.

Good question,
You would do a diurnal chart and use Mom/Dad/Babys natal charts as a point of comparison.
