All my electronic stuff is working OK... but I'm having personal communication breakdowns on all fronts... with my mother, my ex-husband, the boyfriend, employer... ugh. This sucks. I feel drained.

It's conjunct my natal Venus and Neptune in the 3rd house... no wonder I'm having these issues!

When is this thing over? *grumble*

affecting me BIG TIME.....

1. on the telephone, my clients are asking questions over and over, having to repeat my answers 3 times is frustrating and at the end of the conversation, client requested me to send an email on the same question.

2. reports submitted to me had to be sent back to be re-done.

3. figures on my reports i did had to be re-done 4 times coz the figures jus never tallys. in the end, i had to work backwards (starting the list from bottom up) and guess what? it tallied on my 1st attempt.

it jus full of repeats, re-dos, re-think, re-send, it is totally draining my energy and best of all, i'm having a major meeting next wednesday...sigh...i'm praying hard that it's gonna turn out well...

will jus have to bear with it till 20 December....

Some minor stuff...a bit more absent-minded than usual. Cold here and car would not start, but park maintenance man jumped it and I got a new battery....figured it was due, plus, being a senior with some mobility issues, I need my car to work.

Remember: This is an excellent time for intuitive work. Planning is OK, but defer significant decisions until after, if possible. Mercury goes direct on Dec 20....might as well defer til after Chrismas if you can.

A tip: Try affirming this:
"Confusion works to my advantage."
We all know that confusion is to be expected at this time but it can work in our favor if we set that expectation. Try it!

For some reason, personally, it seems to be working in my favor! It doesn't even make sense to me, but my mental clarity is actually quite strong right now, and some people around me are quite confused and are starting arguements with me, so I'm able to dispel them or well..yeah we won't talk about that *evil powers*. I seem to be able to harness this mercury retrograde energy pretty well, not sure why though!

Rev. Alice, I love it when you pop in. Your advice is always great.. i am going to try that affirmation.

HMmm, my Merc Retrograde, lets see....

I am supposed to have left for Yellowstone...yesterday... on Mon my car just STOPPED as I was driving.
PANIC!!!

Why couldnt it have done that 3 weeks ago? NO, of course not. So i got a new distributor, to the tune of 500 bucks.

I cant talk right, cant write right (SEE?)

I am all sorts of freaked out about driving 1200 miles, in winter, in a 14 year old car with 197000 miles on it. Especially in a Merc Retrograde.

I did try to buy a new car, but i am leary of signing any kind of contract.

And i am upset that i cant get to the Park right away. I called my boss and its ok, we dont really need to be there until Dec 11, but I was going to get to work some special functions for the "big names" and it would have been nice to make the connections.

"Confusion works to my advantage"...I probably would have spilled something on someone. Never mind.

I have also been having mini-breakdowns about the past, my childhood, relations with my father, etc. And, a person whose friendship used to be the cornerstone of my life appeared in my life again...and we have had a hate relationship for 2 years or so.

Oh, yeah, this Retro is a doozy.. esp for this Virgo with a Virgo Merc.

aaaggggggggg

I am also having communication problems. Since mercury went retrograde I have felt like all my thoughts and emotions were hazy.

however, I am embracing this trend, because I haven't been able to get upset or angry about any problems or mishaps. Just feel sort of confused and open to any possibility (kinda different for a taurus).

running_bull, that describes me lately, too. Just kind of hazy... kind of like I'm somewhere else. All kinds of things are falling down all around me, though. Surprised I'm not in my usual panic mode!

me three, i feel like i'm suffocating in the non-understanding and haziness around me.

and yes, the stupid electronic "quirkiness" has begun.

like last night i tried to change the tv chanell and it wouldn't change from 8. i would hit up, down, 10, 5... it would flick back to 8 and 8 and 8 and 8! then i tried to turn the flippin' tv off in exasperation and... it wouldn't switch off. it blinked and went to... 8.

so i pulled the effing plug out of the wall and went to bed.

today, the tv works just fine.

Actually...communication and conversations for me, especially with family members has been strained, but I think it's me because they're putting pressure on me for Christmas...my Sag nature is rebellling

Ehh...I guess the Venus/Mars conjunction was the reason why yesterday ruled, because things are back to retrograde normalcy for me now. Dealt with a 5 1/2 power outage the other day, last night the lights kept flickering like crazy. Was with my mom today who had car problems. Am having my own issues with driving (i only seem to have issues with driving during retrogrades). Having problems even thinking about long-term goals. I'm kind of hazy too.

However, my communication skills are still pretty high despite that I'm nearly braindead lately, and all sorts of old friends are contacting me all over again. That's cool, but actually getting together is turning into a huge pain in the butt because they are not understanding why I cannot/don't want to hang out with them at certain times, like 2 in the morning or because it's snowing out.

But yeah communication skills are at such a high that I've even been having a blast calling up DJs on a local radio station and having conversations with them about music and doing radio!!!

Wonder if that's why the digital clock I've had for years started running 2/3s fast - not quite double time, I got kick out of it, trying to guess when it would be right! (Oh dear, sounds like cabin fever to me!) Same time my watch battery died. Is there a message in that? Finally got a new clock though, but I left the other one running, think maybe a parallel universes meet when they say the same time.

Think I must need to get out more!!! Late night ramblings - Dec 20, huh? gonna make for a lot of frustrated xmas shoppers! Not me though, always do it at the last minute anyways!

i have some advice for all those who are feeling hazy (mentally/emotionally) during this mercury retrograde. i had a clear moment this afternoon (my first in about a week) and i realized something that always helped before was taking a bath.

a few years ago, i read a book about taking ritual baths by anna riva. while i don't add herbs or special oils to my bath; i have found a relaxing soak at night w/ a few candles and music, a helpful book, or my thoughts, helps sort through the days muck and confusion. if you have time, try it. i will be sending some good vibes as i take my bath tonight. good fortune to all this week.

Hi,

This Sag has the retrograde in the 1, 8, and 12th house at the same time. My thoughts have been hazy lately, but it hasn't been too bad. The good thing is, I've been feeling much more spiritual as well. Tomorrow is my bday, and I checked my natal chart and found out I was born during a Mercury Rx in Sag (: Instead of seeing it as a - factor, I believe it will be a good thing.

D

P.S. The relaxing bath is a great idea, it works wonders for me everytime (:

I'm not feelin' it, except maybe in a little bit of extra sleepiness.

Ya know, though, I really don't get Rxs.

I mean, I get the concept, I just don't seem to feel them as do others.
Do you think that the push and pull of transiting Rxs could get lost on a small town of natal retros residing in someone's chart?

I have
* rx Merc in Pi
* rx Mars in Leo
* rx Jupiter in Virgo
* rx Saturn in Virgo
* rx Uranus in Scorp
* rx Pluto in Lib

If those do somehow steal the umph of transiting Rxs for me and other retrograde souls, why do you think that that's so?
Are we already too lost in a great sea of retro energies to notice?
Do we have some inborn defense?
Or are we perhaps to lost and busy in our own little universes to notice that our cell phones're on fire amid a screaming sea of frustrated people?

Or is the whole concept of natal retros bunk (as seems thinks the moderator of astrology.about.com)?

Edit: Heh, just saw this:
Remember: This is an excellent time for intuitive work.
I do have a Pisces Sun and Aqua Moon...p'haps I only operate that way...

Oooo Oooo question!! This isn't a time to be trying to make new friends, is it? Even with old friends that you run across...everytime I've tried to get together with someone, either they are bitchy, or don't seem to want to do anything and expect me to choose where to go/what to do and then my answer isn't good.

Is this Merc Retrograde crap or should I just go hide? Or both?!

well i took the bath and added some water that i boiled rosemary in for purification and something else (i forgot all of rosemary's benefits).

the bath did a power of good. i truly feel wonderful. maybe i should do this once a week or so. oh and i sent out good vibes too. a wonderful night.

P.S.
Happy Birthday, Deira. I hope you have a good one.

my moon's in sagittarius, and i tell you, emotionally i just don't know where i am during this rx. i feel confused and disoriented (some would say not far from the norm for me).

baths are good. i like long walks, too. in a week i am going hiking for a week in big bend, and i am looking forward to it. maybe when i get back things will be returning to normal...

and that's a good question about having a bunch of natal retrogrades. i have a good friend who has natal mercury rx - im going to call her up and ask her.

HA!

it all happens in my 10th house, on top of my mercury-neptune-mc conj

where Pluto was ALREADY transiting my natal mercury (and the neptune it conjuncts: how confusing is that!?!)

AND my company is restructuring offering me this new job (new department, etc).... I had to sign the contract on monday, but SO FAR it's been postponed till tomorrow...

some pipe actually blew up at the hr guy's home the other day, at the last possible momment!

oh! my new job? from marketing, i'm moving to SALES!!!! how's that for a mercury field??? lol

(my natal mercury is in mutual reception and a large opp to jupiter! go figure!)

I seem to be going over old issues and reassesing my love life.

I have hear that those born under a mercury retrograde are almost unaffected.

Which would explain why I don't have as many problems as others.
