I've been to astro.com, had my chart read by an astrologer once, and have a program that does charts, my questions is how important is it to have the right coordinates for the place you were born? Every place that I've had my chart read has had the wrong coordinates know this may seem weird, but I'm positive that they are wrong. I was born in a small town so I can see why the Lat. & Long. would be from a different place, BUT there are quite a few bigger towns closer to my birth town besides the one used for my charts. How much does this affect the chart? I know it's very common to use a city close by, if birth city can't be found, but as I stated earlier. the city used for my chart is really far away. Also, does anyone know of a program or web site, when I can enter my own Lat. & Long. ?Thank you. IP: Logged |

Greetings....The more exact the coordinates the better, but as long as the city or town you live in is in the SAME state or province or what have you, it shouldn't matter all that much. If the LATTITUDE of your birthplace is the same (or close to) as that of the city/town that they are using, the difference is minimal at best. I have a World Atlas program and book.. so if you can give me the corerect spelling of the place, I think I can dig the coords up for you. In the Light... Greetings...Well, from what I can see those coordinates are corect as fas as The American and International Atlas are concerned. When I input Kovin, Yugoslavia I got: Long: 20E59 Lat : 44N45 So we're close. That begs the question, why do you believe that those coords are incorrect? In the Light... Hello Aselzion and thank you for the help. The reason why I am unsure of those coordinates is because a while back I was trying to locate my home town (on the web) by entering the coordinates, and when the search was done I got a town that was not even in the same state. Since then, I've looked online for the information about my birth place and I found one site that lists the coordinates of all places in Yugoslavia, what I got for my birth place was 44.74N and 20.98E. I haven't been able to find any other information on this. I haven't been able to create a chart with these coordinates, so I'm not sure if it even makes a difference. IP: Logged | |
