Back at the Dance Hall thread, started talking about actors we have an automatic bond with, but moreso, a strong feeling of REALLY relating to a specific character they chose to play. This is where the discussion left off

www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003628-3.html

... but I think it makes for a great new topic with a thread all it's own. We did find some interesting facts, stumbled upon QUITE accidentally. I mentioned two characters in two different movies, and by two different actors, which I find myself really relating to.

Come to find out, those two actors not only share my Asc, but have the same Sun, Moon & Mercury with EACH OTHER, and were born one day apart (different years)... this boggled my mind.

Maxine Bahns' character Audrey in ''the Brother's Macmillan'' (sp?)

She is a Pisces with Venus in Cappy (like me) and an Aries moon. (I have a Leo moon with Aries rising).

Also Angelina Jolie's character in ''Playing By Heart''...best movie ever...

Angelina (as has been discussed before on LL) has a Gemini sun, Aries moon and Cancer rising. Her moon conjunct my rising would sort of explain the deep emotional connection I always felt with her characters, especially in this film.

I know I have felt particular attatchments or recognized a connection with certain other people, but none that really stick out to me right now.

I'll be back to this thread, it's very interesting!

Hmm...Amelie I related to very well.

I always forget the names of characters...but Jim Carrey's character in Eternal Sunshine I related to way too much.

I tend to relate to Ewan McGregor in a lot of movies he has been in.

Lola in Run Lola Run is another one...

hmm i should go look up stuff about these actors, I know that Audrey Tautou is a Leo, Jim Carrey is a Cappy, and Ewan is an Aries....hmm!

Im not sure if this counts because Im posting a musician instead of actor/actress or role...

It's hard to think of characters I related to a few years ago because I guess I change all the time. But in recent times I remember watching Eternal Sunshine..and thinking "Oh my God, I AM Clementine!" (Kate Winslet's character) My ex and I talked a little after we saw the movie (seperately) and before I said anything he told me he thought the writer based Clementine on me. According to my research Ms.Winslet is an intensely Libra person. It's her rising, Sun, Moon, Mercury and Pluto. I have a Libra rising, but that's about it..hm..
I saw Closer recently, and I strongly identified with Natalie Portman's characters..in fact I find there's something about her in general..I don't know. Well she's a Gemini.
I don't know..the only connection I see is we've got all the air signs between the three of us but I will do more research, this is just a fascinating subject. Especially considering the fact that we're relating to the characters they play, yet we're looking into their real natal charts..we could write a whole book about the psychology of an actor and the roles they choose accordingly..anyways..I'm a little chatterbox tonight I will shut up now and go research.

Funny enough, I was talking to my hubby about this the other day.
People have always told me I look like Drew Barrymore ( doesn't everyone know someone who looks like her?) But not only that, the characters she plays (bubbly, fun, kinda' silly yet deep) really resonate with me, and how I am. It isn't only me who notices.... ( I will watch her on the screen and go.. wow, is that something I say, or what?!) but I go through cycles too, one of her movies will come out and be popular, and the people who see it always go~ "You know who you totally remind me of?" and I'll know. Whenever I read interviews with her, she will ay something I say all the time. Lie we think the same way... it's strange. She had a small blurb in a magazine recently, and in it she said she totally 'believes' in Astrology etc, and that "People feel things with their heart, but I think more people should say what they feel from their belly, it says alot."
I showed my hubby.. I was like.."Don't I say that all the time?"
Sometimes it's really uncanny.
Growing up when ET came out, we are approx. the same age, and we looked alike and acted alike ( from a distance of course)
Anyway, It's neat. I even read a magazine piece where she wrote a short story, and we write similarily as well.
I believe she is a Pisces.. I am a Scorpio.. who knows?
neat topic.

Mostly & oddly enough I seem to identify with Scorpio sun actresses. Meg Ryan in City of Angels just seems to speak out my feelings, also, in Sleepless in Seattle, I just love Meg. And Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding I can totally relate to since Im caught in this weird love traingle, I even tell my friends jokingly that I'm gonna up to the guy I love and tell him "choose me, marry me, let me make you happy" (but my Scorpio pride gets in the way, so I never get around to actually telling him that!)
So mostly it's characters who believe in true love no matter how long it takes you to find it & soulmates & the ones I seem to relate to are always Scorpio Suns. Also as I said before, Calista Flockhart in the series Ally Mcbeal, it's so weird sometimes it's like she's reading my mind &saying stuff tht I internally feel all the time, she'll be saying something & I'll be thinking, this is ME! This is a pretty interesting topic, it's interesting how actors/actresses choose their characters. where do you find thei natal charts AJ? I'd like to check out some actors.

Pixie, may I ask you for your definition of "speaking from your belly?" Just curious about what that means to you...

Interesting topic. Much as I love films, I think it's been rare that I've looked at a character on screen and said "that seems like me!" Sometimes they have characteristics I'd like to emulate...I will have to give this more thought. Cool subject though.

Recently I saw myself in Julie Delpy in Before Sunset. I don't remember Before Sunrise that well, but the neurotic, a little nutty Green Cross activist, looking for love and not speaking openly about it - I see myself in her.
That movie truly touched me.

Trillian~
Well, it really feels right.. on several levels...
When I feel something, really feel it, I feel it not in my chest, my heart or my third eye, I feel it in my belly. The 'root' of me.. whatever is a true feeling, a something I know to be personally fulfilling, I get the belly feeling.. it has never lead me wrong. I suppose it is the root of 'gut feeling'.
When something written resonates, it is the rolling over a hill feeling or roller coaster belly-ride.
When I meet someone and really connect, it is there I feel it.
It leads you to the truth and more people should really speak, react and be from that place.
